New want for new Mac Apple ID

I'll try to make it simple.

I currently own a MacBook Pro bought in late 2011. I have an Apple I used with this one ID and my current iPhone.

Today, I bought a MacBook Air, brand new. The main reason I bought a new Mac is having a totally fresh workspace without all the clutter that is located on the old Mac. When I created my new Mac I used my Apple ID, and it was a mistake. I'm not very tech savvy and I just didn't know that he would have ALL SYNC. So now all the echoes of my old MacBook Pro are on my new MacBook Air (at least the part of Safari and it migrates about 162 pictures of my old cloud on my new Mac).

It is the OPPOSITE of what I want.

So what I want to know is: How can I wipe my old Apple ID of this new Mac and just start over with a new Apple ID just for the new Mac?

I want to KEEP my old Apple ID for my old Mac, iTunes and my iPhone.

I understand that by using a new Apple ID with my new Mac than all my Apple products will not be synchronized. I understand that I won't be able to access my iTunes on my new Mac. I'm fine with all that. I want just this new Mac to be totally free for me to start working brand new to this topic. I don't care about the new Mac iTunes, and I can continue to use my iPhone with my old Mac.

Please, I hope someone can help me with this. THANK YOU in advance.

Create an Apple ID iTunes. On the new computer, open Control Panel preferences to iCloud. Disconnect. Sign back in, but this time use the new Apple ID and password. See Apple ID - Apple Support and iTunes - how to set up an Apple ID iTunes.

  • old mac can not find the new mac for migration

I'm trying to set up my iMac brand new El Capitan and any transfer of my old iMac OS x 10.6.8. The new Mac is former easily, by using Migration Research Assistant on two computers, but the old guard. Then another told me that the former, whom he knows, the name is not available. I use WiFi, lack of time, lightning or FireWire (?) whatever they may be. I could loose the ethernet to our wifi modem, if that works better, I have a Gdrive mini backup and which might be easier still.

There is another identical question, starting in 2014, on the forums, but the answer is not relevant - I do not have a screen asking you to transfer when I started up the new iMac. (I also managed to get a screen insist on a Keychain password and it would not accept the password I put in place initially at first startup.) What is going on? I've never struggled with any one of our Macs back to 83 like this!)

Thanks a lot for all the bright ideas!

  • Clone of old mac to new mac

Can someone give me instructions step by step to clone my old mac to my new mac so it automatically recognizes all the devices (printer, Time Capsule, NAS, etc.) that made my old mac. In other words, I want my new Mac to work exactly like my old - except, of course that the new will be better and faster.

    Thank you.

the best way to approach the connection with 3 devices, is using the drivers for your new OS machines by developers. both systems can have differences between them and simply force the old system to the new system settings is a guarantee that they will work as you would like that.

Migration/time Machine Assistant can work for some of this, but if if fails, you will need to get the correct software for your new OS systems.

  • The best way to transfer items from the old to the new mac?

I don't want to transfer the 'bad things' of my old macbook pro to my new macbook air.

I understand how to transfer my whole system, but which would also take the old stuff I want to leave behind.  You are addressing a model here, so that's why I'd like my new mac to not be infiltrated by bad things.  I cleaned as best as I can on my old mac.

I think that I can choose what to take charge using a different method.  I discovered only where are my emails.  Use this as an example, do you think that it a bad idea for me to decide what to transfer?  I'd hate to lose points.  I really need to transfer all my word documents and software I use, for example, my family ancestry tree software.  Apart from the word, my tree (which has been downloaded using a disc), software emails, I can leave behind everything else.  Please give me your impressions.

I suggest that you use the Migration Wizard. You might find this article helpful: move your content to a new Mac - Apple Support

  • Transferring data to a new Mac

    Hello world

If I buy a new Macbook Air, I want to transfer data from my old Macbook. I have a number of questions about this.

My view Macbook is 4 GB. I would like to transfer everything on it in the new Macbook Air, which will be 8 GB. Is this enough GB last me at least 5 years? I'm going to do a data sharing and skyping in the short term.

If I myself do data transfer, I said I can do using my backup. Like my new Air will not have Office preinstalled, but my current MacBook a seat, all I need (I said) is the pin of the Office that I bought with the original). Nobody thinks that there may be problems in data transfer for my office documents? These are very important documents? Or do I I just the Apple Store is the transfer of data for me?

I'm surprised there is no CD player, I have to buy it. $79, "Super key USB." I should buy it on the Apple store, or I'd be able to get much cheaper elsewhere?

I also said that if the Apple Store has made my transfer of data, they can erase my old laptop to zero. Is this true? Is there a way I can delete my old laptop?

    Thank you!

It's a lot of questions! Everything very basic but here is.

    1. 8 GB is enough now, in 5 years it is difficult to say that we have no idea of what Apple has planned for the newer operating systems. It seems that each version or two requires more ram to work properly.

    2. you can certainly transfer data yourself move your content to a new Mac - Apple Support

    3. the Bureau should probably be reinstalled, as long as you have your product key, you should be fine. Your documents should transfer very well with the rest of your user files.

    4. the people of Apple Store will do the transfer of your data, but I think that they will want to charge you for the service. I'd do it myself.

    5. Once you are sure that all you have transferred to the new MBA and works as it should, you can delete the old computer yourself. ENSURE that pf all your documents are safe before wiping the disk hard what to do before you sell or give away your Mac - Apple Support

  • I have a new mac book pro, I need to copy my stuff from my old mac pro book

Hi all, I just splashed the money and got myself a new mac book pro, without the DVD player.

Now I would like to transfer all my stuff from my old book of mac pro, the easiest way and fastest possible.

while I was in the store to spend my money, the guy told me that I can do by connecting two computers together via Firewire/stroke of lightning and using Time Machine!

I have an adapter Firewire/Thunderbolt and a Firewire cable :-)

But I would like to have someone, somewhere to point me in the right direction so that I'm not kidding, I did it this way before, are there details step by step anywhere please, I don't can find any info anywhere else!

Thanks for looking and if you can help/advise so much better :-)

    Tim

  • MAC Pro tower to new MAC Pro upgrade

Currently, I have a MAC Pro Tower and will be upgraded for the new MAC Pro, probably within 6 months.

At the present time, I have 1 HD SSD (with programs and the OS on it) and 3 hard drives regularly in-house.  One of the internal HD contains the data of my programs, while the other two are used for backups, etc.

    Here are my questions:

I plan to go with the 256 GB SSD drive in the new MAC Pro, but my question is can I get another internal HD (SSD, or other) to store my data?

I plan on the withdrawal of the other HD and their use for external storage, should I do access these drives with the new MAC Pro?

I currently have 3 external HD used to store photos and movies, I'm going to him again able to use with the new MAC Pro?

I have speakers external, purchased from the Apple Store, they will work with the new MAC Pro?

I have several printers, a scanner and on my current MAC Pro Tower, they will work on the new MAC Pro?

I would just move the stuff of my current MAC Pro Tour (programs, operating system, data) for the new MAC Pro, this is something Apple can do for me?

Needless to say, I am grateful for any help I can get in that case.

    Thank you.

1 - 2013 cylinder Mac Pro can have only a single storage device internal. Cannot add another.

I would opt for the 500 GB one.

2 - Likley Yes but yo don't say how they are related to the tour D'Argent. The 2013 has four USB 3 and 6 ports Thunderbolt Mac you can get a bolt of lightning > adopter FireWire

    3 see # 2

4 - Yes the speaker, if the USB or 3.5 mm will work

5 - the printer and scanner will work if there are drivers that are supported on El Capitan. You have not specified the OSX version on your silver tower

    6. I've heard rumors that you will now pay Apple to move information to a new system, but you should check. You can do it yourself. It is not difficult. See:

That is right. The requires iTunes 12.3.3 and in order to get it, you will need to update OS X to El Capitan. That's how Apple has created for better or worse, I'm sorry.

  • Hello, I bought Adobe for download a few years ago and settled in on a Mac Pro. I want to uninstall on the mac and install it on a new Mac Pro. No idea how I can do?

Hello, I bought Adobe for download a few years ago and settled in on a Mac Pro. I want to uninstall on the mac and install it on a new Mac Pro. No idea how I can do?

Just download, install and activate using your serial number.  You are allowed to have the software installed and enabled on both machines.  If you do want to keep the original installation of backup you can turn it off by opening one of the programs and by selecting help-> Deactivate.

Here's a general link for where you can find the download links...

    Download and Installation Help-

    https://helpx.Adobe.com/download-install.html

If you want a more direct link, you must name the software and version.

If you need your serial number, you should be able to find it in your account Adobe online if you have registered the software when you install everything first.

  • CS5 for mac is installed on an old mac.  I have a new Mac Pro and iMac, that I want to install.  I can do this, and if not what is my best option.  I mainly use Photoshop later.  Thank you!

I have a new Mac Pro and iMac, I want to install CS5 on them.  I can do this, and if not what is my best option.  I mainly use Photoshop later.  Thank you!

Personally, I would install just without turning off. Worst thing that will l be happen you will need to disable a. Does not mean that you must uninstall just disable and when you need it, just disable one of the other and activate the current. But I assume CS5 because he is not yet supported most probably don't even follow the activations. I'm guessing the last part but when trying to install and activate without disabling one will not harm what anyone,.
