  I searched "4 years PS E7 developing problems...» "and couldn't find even in Discussions and notifications that it has been moved.  I would have thought that a search would have led me on the Forum of items with notes as to how much, if any, had read it.  This is what I'm used to.  As I said, I'm lost.  Sorry if it should be obvious, and if I look like a whiner.

  When you click on your name to see your profile, there is a 'status', i.e. 'Newbie' for you at this time.
  If you have points, they will be shown next to this status.

  However, don't get too hung up on how many points you have. The purpose of the forum is to help each other, learn new things and be professional, do not earn points for those pushed own ego. Most people here who have a lot of points have come from them to give professional answers without any expectation of being awarded points.

  I spend some of my time, answering the questions of the people he spare (and I am of course happy to do), but really a lot of questions are naïve enough, and the user could help themselves by taking the steps above before asking.

  Even the newest of newbies who cannot be expected to know much at all (which is great!) can help themselves by having a liquidator first.  And I always tell me that it's better for people to try DIY, rather than come up with a spoon, wanting to be fed.

• Despite the solution given in the forum, I can not .jpg listed in the type of listing file for how to do in the face of various types of files.

  Whenever I click on a link, .jpg, the image opens in Firefox. I want to use another program, but I can't change because .jpg does not appear in the list of file types for which you can specify actions. I know that there is an answer in the forum of Firefox, but I never get the option box that asks me what to do with the file, so I can't go to the box 'do this for all these types of files. Help!

  JPEG images are considered normal browser content and do not generate an open/save/Cancel dialog box, unless the site sends a special header indicating that it should be treated as a download (disposition = attachment instead of inline).

  To Save the image, your best integrated option is to right-click on the image and use save picture as or if it's a link to an image, right click the link and save the link under.

  But to start the image in a different program, I can't think a built-in feature that can do this, then you probably need an add-on.

  I see for example, there are extensions to open an image in PhotoShop or Fireworks:

  If these programs are not relevant, if all goes well there is a more general purpose extension on the site that fits your needs.

• What is happening with this new layout of the forum?

  Apple-wake up!  What happened to the layout of the traditional forum?  Is it broken?  People come to a forum looking for information and seek answers through the previous posts.  The new provision allows only one person to see more than a few hours of posts on a page (as perhaps the last 10?)!  What the devil?  Guess what?  Forums = information.  The new presentation of the forum = white space, and white space is not equal information.  If I wanted to meet someone post I don't know yet where to start because I couldn't find it!  In a mater of minutes at the station is restored to Page 2, never to be seen again.

  Basically, the new presentation of the forum *.  Why it was changed?

  Having posted a question about firfox sync, I'm now faced with the message interface.

  When I post the question, there is no facility to follow this thread - as there ALWAYS on ALL the forums where I have never participated.

  However, when I posted the question, there are menus for TOOLS of the ISSUE and the DETAILS of the QUESTION. THESE ARE NOT USEFUL.

  I'm sorry that you have problems with this forum. I have addressed some of the same issues you mentioned, back during the phase of beta testing until this forum went live--back in 2006-2007. IMO, that 'us' think is false or is different from the other forums we used will not be "fixed" - a set of standardized software forum is not used here, it works as expected by the developers of this custom built Mozilla software.

  Click on your username at the top of a forum page to access the menu for the settings of the user.

• Can not see the Forum Signature

  The whole issue is that I do not see the image I created for one of my signatures. I find this strange but because it's only MY signature in this particular forum (the official Sims 3 ones) that I can't see. I see everyone, and I don't have this problem on another forum or website. However, I can see the signature when I look at the forum using my phone or another browser on my computer. There is this: the signature will appear suddenly after that I have post a photo in a real post, but as soon as I refresh the page or go to another, a large white space will be where my image is supposed to be. I asked others, and they all say that they can see it properly. I tried to reset Firefox, but it changed nothing.

  There have been problems reported in Firefox with images stored on Photobucket.

  This issue seems to be caused by the default value of text/html Firefox sending accept header instead of an image request and this causes Photobucket redirect to a HTML page with the image and not the image that is requested.

  Could you please provide more concrete steps to reproduce this problem? I'm unable to reproduce what you are talking about.

  You can also try safe mode:

  Try Firefox Safe mode to see if the problem goes away. Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode, which disables most of the modules.

  (If you use it, switch to the default theme).

  • Under Windows, you can open Firefox 4.0 + in Safe Mode holding the key SHIFT key when you open the desktop Firefox or shortcut in the start menu.
  • On Mac, you can open Firefox 4.0 + in Safe Mode holding the key option key when starting Firefox.
  • Under Linux, you can open Firefox 4.0 + with leaving Firefox then go to your Terminal and running Safe Mode: firefox-safe-mode (you may need to specify the installation path of Firefox for example/usr/lib/firefox)
  • Or open the Help menu and click on the restart with the disabled... modules menu item while Firefox is running.

  

  Once you get the pop-up, simply select "" boot mode safe. "

  

  If the issue is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to understand that one. To do this, please follow article Troubleshooting extensions, themes and problems of hardware acceleration to resolve common Firefox problems .

  To exit safe mode of Firefox, simply close Firefox and wait a few seconds before you open Firefox for normal use again.

  When find you what is causing your problems, please let us know. It might help others who have the same problem.

  If you are connected and then top of page [/questions] you have a sort and filter item that opens a menu drop-down.

  You can use ' history > clear recent history "to delete already backed up the data of the form.

  You turn this feature off in "Options > confidentiality" in order to prevent the registration of new data from Firefox.

  I searched for help and found excellent answers but people posted links do not work.  They simply refresh the current position.  I tried several browsers on two different machines. The positions are a few years old, but this has never happened in the past when the search of the forums.

  When I try to post on some forums I get messages like "something went wrong please try later."

  When I use another browser (Chrome) it works OK.

  This does not occur on all the forums, but it's annoying when things are not going as I want to use Safari as my browser unique.

  Go step by step and test.

  1. click  in the menu bar and select "force quit."

  Select Safari and click "exit of strength at the bottom of the window to Force Quit.

  Hold down the SHIFT key and launch Safari.

  2 empty Caches

  Safari > Preferences > advanced

  Tick the box "Show develop menu in menu bar."

  Develop menu will appear in the Safari menu bar.

  Click on develop and select 'Empty cache' in the menu dropdown.

  3. Delete Cookies

  Safari > Preferences > privacy > Cookies and other data from the website:

  Click on the button "Details".

  Delete all cookies except those from Apple, your internet service provider and the banks.

  4. turn off the power to the router. Unplug it from the wall. Wait a while.

  Plug it in, back to the wall. Turn on the router. Wait for all lights are light up properly. It will take a while.

  Restart the computer.

  Boot mode safe.
