Newspaper printed in finger on the screen

I'm trying to reinstall/repair the HP ProtectTools Security Manager on a laptop with OS Windows 7 Professional 32 bit 8440p. The log on screen for recording of the fingerprint for a Web site isn't appearing any more. I get the following message to halfway through the installation:

Error 1722. There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A program run as part of the Setup did not finish as expected. UninstallDPPPassFilter.C1FEA41F_343C_49D4_A3E1_...

I can log on to the system with the fingerprint reader.

Hello

Although reference is made to a Windows Installer package, it is simply that it is a Windows program. The error Code is an HP, and the fingerprint is a HP program. I suggest you uninstall the fingerprint of your laptop system, then do a clean boot to ensure that all of its components are clear and then reinstall the software, ensuring that all components loading / install successfully.

Post your results here and let me know how you fare.

Kind regards

BearPup

    Mine is a MacBook Pro (retina, 15 inches, mi 2014) 2.2 GHz with integrated display. My heart sank for a moment, but when I logged in, I did not notice the finger any longer.

    I see the black spot that looks like an ink spot (see photo) when I get back to screen locked again. What is an LCD failure or is there something else going on? If it's an LCD has failed, why not see the problem when it is unlocked? How to fix? Thanks for any help.

  • Office Jet 4632 only print what is on the screen (Web Pages)

    Hi all.   New to the Forum.

    I have a new 4632 Jet Office hooked up to a Samsung RV 511 computer laptop running Windows 7 via a USB cable.

    The laptop is a Stock machine.

    For some reason when I try to print from the Web, it shows only what is on the screen, rather than print all web pages.

    It does if I try Google Chrome or Internet Explorer.

    My old Windows XP with an all-in-one HP machine automatically prints all pages.  If you only want to print some texts, you can highlight and print only that.  Not so with this machine.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks, Pete

    Hello Pete and welcome to the Forums of HP, I hope you enjoy your experience!

    I see that you are having problems printing.  I would try to help.

    I would say uninstalling the software of the printer.

    Once it is uninstalled, I suggest you put your system in clean boot mode in the configuration of Microsoft.  You can do this by following this document: How to perform a clean boot in Windows.

    Once the computer is in clean boot mode, I would suggest to reinstall the HP printer install wizard for Windows.

    Good luck and please let me know the results of your troubleshooting operations. Thanks for posting on the HP Forums!

    When you have downloaded the all-in-one color of Dell | Suite software E525w and driver it should be the Dell printer Hub program that displays the settings of the scanner.  You can click on the link below to download the drivers and the software file. Hi David,

    Congratulations on being a part of Dell. You can use soft and slightly damp rags like cloth with cleaning liquids available in microfibre cleaning market. Also make sure that the liquid is sprayed on the canvas.

    Hello

    -For how long have you had the problem?
    -Did you change on your computer before the show?

    I recommend you to follow these steps and check if the problem persists.

    Step 1:

    Test the issue in safe mode.

    Step 2:

    If the problem persists in safe mode, I suspect the possibility of a conflict of software of third party causing the problem to occur. I suggest that you start your computer in a clean boot State.

  • The screen visuals are too big

    After stopping for the night, a ' install updates and shut down ' was launched. The next day, newspaper on desktop, to all the screens of the site web, etc., Visual of the screen are too big. How can I get this back to fix the little plus size.

    Hello

    Microsoft gives sometimes you updates for the 3rd party hardware: graphics, network cards, etc.

    You should only get the latest drivers for them to real hardware manufacturer's website, as Microsoft normally does nor those have the most recent drivers available as Microsoft relies of the 3rd party hardware Manufactuer to provide.

    But unfortunately, the only way to know which is the update of the problem is to install them one by one, until you find the 'wrong' for your installation.

    You can do a system restore to get back until it has been installed (which is NOT the best way to remove an update) or follow this method:

    'Remove an update'

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/remove-an-update

    'Remove an update - Windows 7'

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/remove-update#1TC=Windows-7

    When you have found the issue of update of the list of updates which is presented > then right click on the update problem > select Hide update > and it will not be available to you once again

    Or the other of these two update settings will give you the chance to see what you want to install through Windows updates;

    Download updates but let me choose whether to install them - if you select this option, Windows will download the updates on your computer, but not install them automatically. If you want to install updates, then you must install them manually. You should only select this option if you have a reason to not install updates automatically. Only advanced users should use this option.

    Check for updates but let me choose whether to download and install them - if you select this option, you'll be alerted when there are new updates available for download and install. You can then choose to download and install the updates that you want. This option should really be reserved for people who know exactly which updates they need, or those who have little access to the Internet.

    But remember you normally only have problems with hardware 3rd party drivers. Other updates are to improve the performance and security of your system.

  • Questions of the propeller: ghosts of the tip of your finger on the touchscreen and Crooked editing basic keyboard connector.

    Someone else either of these two questions have with their propeller Thinkpad:

    (1) when I use the touch screen, I can see a trail light ghosting on the screen itself, I tap the screen or slide my finger along the screen.  It looks a bit like touching an LCD monitor and dragging your finger down there.  This isn't something I'm used to seeing on touchscreen devices like the propeller.  So, anyone else notice?

    (2) when I got the camera, the keyboard dock has two connectors which allow the tablet to integrate into the cradle depending which way the Tablet is turned.  The left is for the facing and the identical one on the right is for"view."  Display connector was twisted (as if it was not completely inserted).  When I set up the device in display mode, it seemed perfectly connected to the connector.  I tugged on it lightly and it is not out, but I didn't want to press my luck.  Common problem for someone else?

    Thank you!

  • How to detect the user touch and hold the screen for touch screen devices?

    Hello

    I want my code to do the following:

    when user touch and hold on the screen{
        myThread.start();
    }

    when user release the finger on the screen{
        myThread.done(); //a method to stop the thread
    }

    Any ideas? Thank you very much

    Never to change never return super.touchEvent (...) to return true (well, you can do it for complete events such as MOVE or GESTURE. SWIPE_...) -you will disrupt the event processing complex (just about everything, but downwards and upwards).

    The code works for me (I do something else, with more visual impact, so I know for sure that it does). One thing, try - check the status of your Thread (isAlive()) before you start, as DOWN seems to be generated twice.

    If you could be more specific with what "won't work" is, I would be able to help more.

  • BlackBerry 10 Z10 freezes during call if the screen is pinched or zoomed

    I applied the update to the software BB Z10 (10.2.0.424).  Since the update, a new problem appeared which is serious enough that I now plan to roll back the update.  Obviously, however, I want to avoid if possible the rollback.

    During a phone call, if the screen is 'stuck' or 'zoom' or generally offered by those applying the finger across the screen, the screen then freezes.  The phone call (not continue), but no touchscreen function can be used, and therefore the appeal cannot be done, the keyboard cannot be used, etc.  Sometimes just the skin on my face, touch the screen of the phone is enough to cause problems, but more often it is when I try to press the button end on the screen (and inadvertently move the screen when you press the button).

    Once the frost has occurred, the only way to end the phone call (and effectively address freezing of the screen) is a soft reboot by holding down the power button.  To indicate what is obvious, it is very irritating, especially given the time of long reboot of the Z10.

    I did some research on Google and the search for keywords related to my question without a bit of luck and surprised not to be able to find no matter what other people discuss this issue or is it just me? ! ? ! ?  I tried to reset the device and prefer not not for all the usual reasons.

    Appreciate any help/pointers that anyone can offer.

    If you have a similar problem and have stumbled across this forum announcement, I can now report the cause and the fix for this 'problem '. In my BlackBerry settings for accessibility, the function named Mode magnify was lit to. I must have turned on that when you play with my phone during installation (seemed like a good idea at the time). Completely turn off the Mode magnify has solved the problem. Luckily I don't have a disability, but might seek to improve this function for people with disabilities with magnify Mode activated BlackBerry do not know the problems I have with the device of freezing because (inadvertently) expand during phone calls.
