NEX - 5N LA - ai2 with Sigma lenses

Anyone know if the optical image stabilizer works on the Sigma lenses when it is attached to the NEX - 5N camera using the adapter LA - ai2?

I discovered that the operating system works.

  • Question of the NEX Time Lapse app with fashion bed and the rising of the Sun.

NOTE: this problem was first mentioned by me in the other thread about the app of time works do not (a thread "solved").  Wanted to separate this issue in its own thread so I hope this is seen and worked on...

NEW PROBLEM?  I starts with the NEX - 5R regular automatic mode 'Greens', start the application of time and run in mode 'Sunrise' .  I then begin firing sequence before the sun rises.  It takes about 40mins (I use all the parameters of "sunrise" by default) and when I check the results I see that the exhibition was "locked-in" with the first shot taken.  That means the video created in the device starts properly exposed, gets brighter as the Sun starts to come will then completely saturated white until I see clouds of beautiful Sunrise 'red '!

What is the way in which the mode of "Sunrise" is supposed to work?  I'm doing something wrong?  I think that with the changes in the brightness of the scene, the camera would be re-meter each image taken on not to bleed the scene as the sun rises.

    Everyone knows this too?

Moderator: you can report?  (BTW: the Sunset function does the opposite for me also: scene will just completely black too fast as the sun sets.)

    Thank you

    Mike

At the time of writing, we have no information if there is an update for this application. We can refer to this post and try the steps to see if this will fix the problem.

  • I see my profile file of Sigma lenses in the Lr5.7.1 folder - but I can't select it in the drop of Lens Correction

    Hello

I see my exact Sigma lens profile in my Lr 5.7.1 record (SIGMA 150-600 mm F5-6. 3 DG OS HSM C015)-RAW.lcp)- but it's as an option in the dropdown of my Module development lens Corrections unselectable.

    I see it in C:\ProgramData\Adobe\CameraRaw\LensProfiles\1.0\Sigma\Canon

Sigma Sport version is just next to it in the folder - and it's the only one I can see and select, its name is the same direction except the last part of names p014

How can I make MY selectable lens in the drop-down list?

    Thank you

OK - I thought about it!

I stuck the lens profile to:

    C:\Users\XXXX\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\CameraRaw\LensProfiles\1.0

no other profiles were in it - but after pasting the profile here - he appeared in Lr... YAYY

  • Function of IRIS with Nex VG20 + Sigma lens

    Hello

I have a NEX VG20 and a NEX 6. When I use my SIGMA 8-16 + THE - ai2 with NEX 6, everything works fine. On the other hand, with the VG20, the iris does not work and I can only work at full aperture. Is there a solution?

I still have two other questions.
With the NEX cameras, the lens correction (vignetting and distortion) is active on the video?
The video SteadyShot function works with all lenses in the range X?

Thanks in advance for your answers,

    Paul

Try to adjust the mode of development on the lens itself, instead of the [FOCUS] button on the camera. There is a M - AF switch near the mount and slide it on m.

  • Why does LR 4 not recognize objectives Sigma (NEX 7) automatically in the development module for lens corrections

In Lightroom 4.6, "to enable lens profile" in the module development works perfectly for Sony lenses with ARW NEX (NEX-7) files.

When I use lenses Sigma instead, nothing happens even if "enable the correction of the profile" is checked, regardless of what is defined next: Auto, custom, or default...

I'm tired of always having to fill 3 profile of lenses (but only for Sigma lenses) questions with 1: Sigma, then 2: look for the lens to Lightroom long list of Sigma click and finally 3: hope to.

I'm assuming that Lightroom reads the metadata (where the objectives Sigma and Sony are fully described, I checked!), but is not cooperating with Sigma, while Sony lenses work so well.

Why is that so and how can I get good lens profile automatically if the lens has its own profile loaded Adobe?

    Frustrated...

Choose the correct lens manually, then click on "Save new lens default profile is the" configuration of the menu drop down. LR should hold the lens and use it as the default in the future. See screenshot below

  • Canon produce to compete with the Sigma 150-500mm zoom and will soon be released 150-600mm Tamron

    When will be complete with Sigma 150-500mm ($899 B & H), 150-600mm ($ 1 060) B & H Tamron, Canon 100-400 L is obsolete compared to these new lenses, $600 more expensive and is not the beach with my 7 d

Thanks I agree on the quality of L lenses I use 24-105mm for over a year now and I love it, the difference in cost, I can see with the way Canon lens are buiilt and I can deal with it if a new goal comes in the price range of 100-400.

I heard a rumors of rep Cannon 100-400 could be updated this year, but nothing confirmed, I was hoping that they would extend up to 500mm maybe so I'll wait to see what comes out if anything this year

  • CS4 converted dng files accepted only with the manual lenses and not auto lenses

I have cs4 and a sony ilce7rm2 camera.  With manual lenses on the camera, my .arw files are converted to dng files using latest Adobe dng converter.  I open the dng file in photoshop cs4 without problem.  Well... unless I put an auto lens on my camera and take a raw picture, then convert it to the format dng, photoshop do not recognize!  What is going on?  The arw is converted to DNG as before... what the auto lens info says the program to not recognize?  Can I disable this prejudicial information coming from the lens?

Hear you converted dng files are not open in photoshop cs4 or photoshop cs4 is not just specify what lens was used?

You have the 5.7 camera raw for photoshop cs4 plugin?

Have you tried to change the compatibility preferences in the converter dng to something like Camera Raw 5.4 and later?

  • Canon 5 d MK IV LiveView stops immediately after having been pressed with Tamron SP 70-200mm F/2.8

My Canon 5 d MK IV Live View will stop immediately after having been pressed with a Tamron SP 70-200 F/2.8 Di lenses.

    I don't see the problem happens with my lens F / 2.8 Canon 24-70mm.

This problem happened in video mode.

I hope that there is a setting I have to toggle to make this objective work in Live View mode?

    Thank you

    Mark

I spoke to my local camera shop, they said, that it should be referred to the Tamron for the update of the firmware, they said, that Tamron has a fairly good hand around time of approximately 5 days. I've probably will send mine once I'm done with a shoot.

The lens works very well for me, normally, the only problem for me is Live View. If this is not the case, use the LIve View, it seems to work great so it's not paralyze me right now, but it would be nice to just get it fixed if Live View will work.

The camera is also on Firmware V1.01 so their will be updates firmware for it also and as a previous post said that Canon will also address the issues with 3rd party lenses. Great! After that all the Canon doesn't want people who have glasses of third parties avoiding the body of the camera for this problem. It's logical Canon would solve this problem.

So far it is a minor bump with third party lenses. I've always been able to work with my Tamron and Sigma lenses. Just a couple of workarounds until the firmware is updated. It isn't a deal breaker for me. This camera is a pleasure to shoot with and I am very pleased with the Canon has advanced in the development, image quality with the dynamic range and low light performance. I am happy and have no regrets.

I would still recommend this camera to a friend.

Lightroom 5 lists only a few Sigma lenses in its Lens Correction profiles. The 17-50 isn't one of them. How can I get a maintaining a profile of this goal, because it so that I use?

You need to manually move in the ACR LensProfile folder into the folder LensProfile LR5.

How to change or add lenses a VIXIA HF R60?  Just add an adapter lens and screw on the new glasses?  Do you need to change or add software to the camera in order to use the lenses?  The other Canon lenses lenses work?

    Hi retiredsa!

    Thanks for posting.

The lens on the VIXIA HF R60 is not interchangeable.  Also, this model is not compatible with conversion lenses and adapters.

  • Lenses for the version of the EOS Rebel Film will work on digital

Will be Sigma and enemy purchased EF lenses a work of camera EOS Rebel Film Version on the new digital boxes?

    johncardos wrote:

As already mentioned the EF lenses will work.

Sigma lenses might work. And if Sigma lenses don't work not you may or may not be able to bring rechipped. And even if you can it might not be worth the expense.

Something to keep in mind is the design and lens manufacturing has come a long way since the time of the rebel movie. Current consumer grade Canon lenses STM match the image quality of their L lenses since that time. So while you can use older lenses may not want.

Of course, there are a few old gems that hold up well, even today, the EF 85 mm f/1.8 comes to mind.

  • What lenses to buy for the quality and professional film clarity

I have an EOS Rebel T4i and I was wondering the best option for a lens to get this quality of film that you see in the movies. I saw a lot of videos with DSLR lenses that are of good quality. Or a lens EF lens film, I'd buy some. The last thing I want to do is buy a super lens cheap it does not right, so I ask for options. I am a student $1,500 - $2,000 would be a maximum price for this room. Thank you in advance!

Best bang for the buck is the Canon 24-105mm f4 that l IS. It is a boon to B & H or Adorama. In addition, sometimes you can find 'white box' deals on them for the range of $700-$750 dollars.  BM is same purpose, the same guarantee. Nine as they are fair trade ins.

This objective is an ideal place to 'start' to your collection of lenses!

  • Lenses Nikon D800 not no projection in metadata & filter panels more

Between late February and the middle of March, the ID of the lens of photos I download my Nikon D800 will not displayed in Bridge (CC 6.2). Older photos are very good and always show (for example) ' 70, 0-300, 0 mm f/4.5-5.6 "in the exif metadata Panel section. Research with multiple lenses or folders shows an entry for each lens in the filter Panel too, but for recent snapshots, all I get is "not objective".

I thought that my camera was broken, but then I noticed that the lens ID appears in Camera Raw (9.5) and Nikon ViewNX-i. If the problem seems to be a disagreement between the bridge and the D800.

I've updated the two bridge (6.1-> 6.2) and my D800 (firmware Distortion Control Data 2.009-> 2.013) in recent weeks (cannot say when exactly), so there are two variables I know.

    1. someone else has a D800 with the latest firmware, as well as bridge 6.2 who can verify this behavior?

    2. can you someone suggest a solution or troubleshooting to solve the problem?

Of course, this isn't a huge problem, but I sometimes like to do selective research based on lenses, and this problem prevents me to do.

    Thank you.

I found a setup.zip for ACR 9.4 and had to manually extract and rename the plugin to archive.

I'm now with ACR 9.4 and the details of the lens are back!

Unfortunately, you can only batch with commands in the option "treat multiple files" of the editor or the 'Export' one in the Organizer. Action would be able to combine several orders for a single file, but do not use the command given on a lot. You would need a script for this.

The two new orders to 14 elements (haze removal and shake reduction) can be very effective, but they can also produce strange artifacts... Their use in the batch may be undesirable.

I recommend the following solution to improve lots of files needing to increase the local contrast:

If you work with raw files, open a small batch of files from the Organizer in the ACR module. Use the cursor to 'clarity' to all files in the batch and add some sharpness.

If you work with JPEG files, use the editor and choose "open in camera raw" option for your batch chosen files from the file.

Who should provide a good improvement to most of your files. You can use two new orders than in the pictures with the specific defects:

-shake (common with telephoto lenses) removal

-mist removal (not only haze, but images softened with "flare")
