NI 9505 H - full-bridge brushed DC Servo Drive Module - hardware recommendations

I don't know anything about the motor, motor control with PID, so I would like to start learning something (hands-on), so I bought NI 9505 from eBay.  Now, I want to buy are the hardware to start but I'm not really sure to know what brand/model should I buy. So please help me by providing some recomedation on

(1) engine (I do not need a lot of power, something 12VDC)

(2) encoder

(3) cable

As it is just learning, I have something good market/reeasonable. I'm fine appericate.

I acctually have the cRIO 9024 and LabVIEW. All I need is the motor, encoder and cable (number 3).  I would like to ask if anyone can recommend some of the brand/model should I buy - I'm new and I don't really want to buy something that is not on my need - what is just to learn new concept.

  • How do I capture the output of voltage full bridge with Signal Express NI9219

Hello.  I'm trying to do and calibrate a load cell with the installation of full-bridge strain gage.  I use a NI9219 module with a cDAQ chassis.  Is it possible to capture the actual output voltage?  Signal Express gives me a value of strain, but I really need to know the output voltage.  Where to look.  I need only two channels for full-bridge.  I think that could connect the wires to the two remaining channels and read the output voltage of the strain gauges which would be connected as a tension of the 9219 entry, but I think that Signal Express could give me the voltage and output voltage directly.  Any input would be appreciated. Thank you!  P.S. I only use this equipment on occasion and am not the more familiar with it, so keep things simple for me.  Thanks again.

    Hi jgh@AET,

The NI 9219 measures the ratio of voltage full bridge in hardware sensors, allowing any variation of the voltage to cancel. You won't be able to measure the output voltage of the sensor regardless of the voltage without additional channels, but you can measure the ratio of raw tension using the type of Bridge (V/V) . You can also use the type of measure of Force (bridge) measurement of load cell with engineering units (N, lb, kgf, no strain).

This screenshot shows where the two Bridge (V/V) and Force (bridge) can be selected in the DAQ Assistant:

These types of measurement were added sometimes around DAQmx 9.1, so if you have an older version of NOR-DAQmx, your DAQ Assistant maybe not them. The latest version is currently 9.4 of NOR-DAQmx. Front of NOR-DAQmx 9.1, the approach to recommend to measure the load cells was to use the custom with Excitation voltage type and a custom scale. However, Tension Custom excitedly can't Bridge of calibration in the DAQ Assistant.

  • How do I program labview to read a full bridge strain gauge placed at an angle of 45 degrees to measure the torsional deformation?

    Hello

Currently, I'm trying to convert the reading of the strain gauge allows to get readings of the strain of a game of strain gauges of configuration of full-bridge at an angle of 45 degrees on a hollow cyllinder. It is set at 45 degrees, because we are trying to get traction and compression strains resulting from the application of the twist, or a moment of torsion, to the cyllinder hollow. Finally, we want to convert these readings of strain in order to get the couple. Our problem is that full-bridge options to convert the strain gauges appear only apply to configurations 0 or 90 degrees. My question is how can I take my current VI and set it to take readings of the strain of an alignment of 45 degrees. Also suggestions on how to add couple of this VI measures would be appreciated. We have scoured the site, but we are very new to Labview.

    Thank you!

This is not a very good example, they show.  Full-bridge 1 will also read the constraint of torsion.  Full-bridge 1 is for any configuration where you get 2 gauges of tensile and compression 2 meters and you expect roughly equal magnitudes.  With a twisting bridge, the only thing you need to do is to make sure that the wiring and pay attention to the numbering of gage.  Think just mentally on what measurers are in tension and in compression as you twist the stem or tube.

If you're wrong, you pretty much know immediately because you will see very little change in the output when you go to the torsion of the shaft because the templates of traction and compression will liquidate cancel each other in the bridge rather than expand their effects.  To fix it, all you will need to exchange a few threads to effectively rewire the bridge correctly.

    Good luck in your project.

  • load cell 9237 + full-bridge: load cell_null_off_shuntcal.vi - error 200077

I try to use load_cell_null_off_shuntcal.vi with load cell (Honeywell model 31, not amplified). I'm using LabView 8.6, cDAQ-9172 and NI9237. Any ideas?

What is the location of item correct shunt for a full-bridge load cell? Change this location does not eliminate the error.

    Hello, YTC,.

The problem is most likely in your external connections of the NI 9237 and the load cell.  As mentioned in NI 9237 Operating Instructions and specifications, page 9, SC + SC - pins must be connected to the terminals of the resistance specified in the .vi of Shunt calibration perform DAQmx (bridge) (in the case of a full bridge, it would be R3).

Let me know if you still have problems with your calibration.

  • I want to use a flash drive for backup, BUT I want a full backup of the entire drive.

I had once an external drive for backup.  It was supposed to be a backup that would replace everything and put it back where it was.  I cheated because when I got to use it I found that it would reinstall was certain documents and photos.  None of my downloads and all the update programs has been lost. I wanted a mirror image!

Now, I think a full image on a flash drive would be the way to go, but I don't know what software to use.

I need help from someone who has this software and a USB flash drive.  Thank you

    Hello

1/10 1.5 TB = 150 GB - buy a 150 GB flash drive (if you could find it on the market today) could cost you an arm and a leg. Buy a 1 to external portable HARD drive can cost you a little more $ 100.

    I hope this helps.

Hey guys, I just bought an Acer Predator G3-605 today. I downloaded 3 games and my C drive is full already and my D drive is completely empty. I need your help. Thank you

  • Accidentally set the permissions to deny (full control) to a partitioned drive

    Hello
    I admit, I made a huge mistake.

I accidentally set the permissions to "refuse (full control)" for a partitioned drive D:\.

In the tab titles of the D: drive when installing deny.
I had four groups of users listed in the permissions list: authenticated users, SYSTEM, administrator and user.

I'm sure I've hit on two of the four only: authenticated users and users.
SYSTEM and administrator should have been left with the permission to allow it. (This helps?)

In any case, you would know by now, I'm done with permission settings denied inadvertently on my partitioned D: drive and need some advice and help to reset this permission setting.

FYI, I tried to run "takeown /f D:" in the command prompt run as administrator, but it is "ERROR: access denied."
Also "icacls D:/grant administrator: F" returned "access is denied. Treated successfully, 0 files; Could not process files 1.

    Help!

This assumes that the only thing on the D: drive is given. Start the computer with a Linux Live CD/USB key and copy all data on D: on another hard drive (internal or external USB, it's not bad). Delete the partition with gparted while staying in Linux. So now that the drive is a white, gross dur.* shut down the computer and unplug it. Then boot into Windows. You should see the C:\ drive of course. Stop the computer again, then connect your new blank disc and boot into Windows. Use Control Panel > administrative tools > computer management > disk management to create a partition, format the drive and assign it a drive letter. I would like to use something other than D:. With luck, it could work to remove all the permissions on this drive. If so, then just copy your data where you saved using Linux on the 'new' drive Linux is not honoring the Windows permissions so that the data should not carry the old restrictions.

For the distribution of Linux, I prefer Knoppix, but many people also use Ubuntu.

    * I hope I've interpreted your original post correctly and you have two physical hard disks. You wrote 'drive partitioned D:\ ". "so it is ambiguous to me. If you really have that one disc physics on which you have created multiple partitions you can try to make meanings (with the exception of the bit of course disconnect). I don't know if it will work then, but at least you'll have your data in any news for when you reinstall Windows.

If you have installed * programs * on the D: drive then you can not do that and you have to reinstall Windows.

Let me know what is happening and good luck.

  • Windows XP Pro - Restore backup full to the new hard drive Questions

My HD player (only four years, ARGH) for my Dell Dimension 4700 threw the sector of disk errors in Event Viewer.  I tried disc analysis to fix and it did not help.  I did a full backup, including the State information system on an external hard drive using backup utility Windows XP Pro.  I don't have an emergency boot disk, just the XP PRO installation disc.

I have the new drive (Sata 320 GB rather than Sata 80 GB) installed and loaded with Windows XP again.  I am able to connect and fix the external hard drive and want to restore my old information.

I think that I should restore the backup file using Windows XP with security, junction points, and above all, preserve the mount points for the reader verify that Yes.

It is the appropriate procedure to restore a full backup to a hard drive nine?

Restoration of the old registry to the backup will damage the install drive?

When you use the brush in the development module and I have a lot less brushes to create an image, the program hangs up to what I sometimes have to use windows to complete the task.  I have ICC Intel i7 3.4 and 16 GB of RAM to operate Windows 7.  Why hang up LR

Doing a lot of brushing up on an image using Lightroom is known to have this problem. The first thing to try is to turn off the graphics acceleration (go to Preferences/Performance tab and then uncheck the box here). IF this does not help, then you can consider doing your brush in Photoshop Elements or Photoshop, instead of brushing in Lightroom.

  • Adobe sketch style full color brushes in Photoshop - when?

I have been infatuated with brush on iOS for brushes app to use the desktop, but brushes far more impressive than I did are in color, which can be used (and amazing look) on the sketch.

My question is, when these color brushes will work in Photoshop?

I want to include them in my office workflow, and make drawings on the iPad and moving them at the back of the computer are heavy and unusable for me.

Is this course of development? We can expect to see these brushes relatively soon in Photoshop CC?

  • Full satellite P200D C, E drive empty. What should do?

My C drive is full so that drive E has 60% free I Equium P200D running on Windows Vista.

I understand that it is possible to uninstall programs and reinstall from C to E in order to make C drive less full and hopefully ensure computer works perfectly.

I am a complete newbie and have no idea how to do that.
What content on the drive C is also, it is essential to not move?

    Hello!

Of course you can uninstall programs and install them on the E: partition. Why not?

But in your case I would leave the programs on the c partition: why? Well, if you reinstall Vista, you install other programs too. On this way the installed program files will be deleted too and you haven t to do it yourself.
What you can store on the second partition is your documents. Of course also photos, music, videos, etc. For example, if you need to reinstall Vista drive HARD recovery using these files is not removed. HARD drive recovery removes only the first partition.

In addition, you can also reduce the second partition using this guide:

  • myRIO digital servo drive with PWM

After scouring the internet for answers, I realized that I have neglected this resource.

I'm testing some small digital servos that will be used in a senior design project. When we received the myRIO I created a simple VI to drive a servo using PWM with a frequency of 50 Hz and by varying the duty cycle between 5 to 10%. I used a good servo is provided with an arduino kit, and it worked perfectly. However, the Blue Bird BMS-385DMAX servos arrived and when I tried with the VI I did, it didn't work. I confirmed that the servo works by running with an arduino, it just does not work with the myRIO. I'm not an expert of labview, and I'm new to the platform of RIO; any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I joined the project. Ignore the KeyDutyCycle VI and the variable shared; It was something I experienced, but has not used.

You use the myRIO + 5v and Gnd of to power the Servo?

MyRIO + 5v is limited to 100 my output which may not be sufficient to power the larger servo.  Try feeding the enslavement of another source, but still using the PWM myRIO.  MyRIO PWM (and all other outputs digial) should be ~3.33v as 'high '.

  • RS232 driver vi for Advanced Motion Controls Digiflex Performance Servo Drive

I was wondering if one has developed a driver vi rs232 to control a servo Digiflex AMC. I'm not a guy aware of rs232 driver and this seems the only way to control this Driveware drive other than using the software supplied with the player. There are a few control files that are labeled Active X, but in fact do not work with the property to invoke. The Protocol series "focuses on the character, binary, master-slave." After calling the record company their guru said he knows of only Labview Guy who took this task and has been a success. The only information that it could give me was that he lived in the (San Francisco) Bay area.

    MCE,

Unfortunately, our collection of instruments (ni.com/idnet) driver has not all the drivers for your device from the CMA.

You can still use LabVIEW to communicate via RS232 to your device. You will get to know very well the manual of your device programming here are some other links that may be useful:
