NIDAQ - 9.1.1

Hello

For compatibility problems. I need to install, NIDAQ 9.1.1 on a XP machine.

I downloaded NIDAQ911f0Config.zip (one also tried using the Downloader), but I can't

Unzip the file.

For example, I get:

Archive: NIDAQ911f0Config.zip
End-of-Central-Directory signature not found.  Either this file is not
a zip file, or it is one of the discs of a archive in several part.  In the
This last case the central directory and zipfile comment will be located on
the last records of this archive.
unzip: cannot find zipfile directory in one of the NIDAQ911f0Config.zip or
NIDAQ911f0Config.zip.zip and cannot find NIDAQ911f0Config.zip.ZIP, period.

Could you check the archive and download a new?

I thank.

Hello

Finally, I installed: NIDAQ911f0.exe (from the ftp server)

  • Equivalent DAQmx claims NIDAQ orders

Then I start to excavate in the VB6 code that has been written about 8 years ago by one of my engineering students.  Best I can tell, some of the first calls the NIDAQ functions are:

    INIT_DA_BRDS()

    AO_VWRITE()

Basically, he checked to see if the status returned by the INIT_DA_BRDS() has led to a valid installation (by returning a code number device valid).  If so, then we send a voltage to the Commission D/A, using the AO_VWRITE().

So, who can tell me what are the equivalent DAQmx features?

    Hi BorgWarnerNVH,

I can see in this link: VB6 NIDAQ-DAQmx Conversion you requested advice to convert this code, in fact, this document: transition is the most suitable for this conversion. The situation is that DAQmx in how to use the functions is different because we use tasks, so it is more difficult to find as an equivalent function. But I recommend to use examples of supported text code for vb6, here you can view the help NOR-DAQmx C API Visual Basic 6.0, you have installed?

  • Code conversion code VB6 of NIDAQ DAQmx.

    OK, it's time.

We have two machines running Windows XP and a VB6 written inhouse application, which controls a card PCI-6704 D / a card, using traditional NIDAQ.  These machines are replaced by WIndows 7 machines.  I need help (i.e. orientation) on how to go about the conversion of these to traditional NIDAQ (calls to the nidaq32.dll function) to the new DAQmx.

Please tell me that this is possible and also very easy to do

    Hello BorgWarnerNVH,

It doesn't have a direct way to convert your code. You'll have to convert legacy code to correspondents DAQmx calls individually. Here is a link to useful information that you can use to find what functions match.

  • How to use traditional nidaq with a USB-GPIB installation

    Hello

When I tried to install the interface GPIB-USB on my computer it tells me I must uninstall nidaq traditional, but I need nidaq traditional also.

Is it possible to have both installed and functional? Is there a work around?

    Help, please... Thank you

    Darryl Huggins

Thank you for your response Dennis,

When I went back to look at the message I think he wanted me to uninstall a driver inherited NOR-488, so I advanced and uninstalled.

But he said traditional legacy of NOR-DAQ. I was unable to see my card GPIB with Max is why I wanted to install the USB-GPIB.

After installing now I am able to see the card GPIB and USB-GPIB interface. Must of had a bad driver, I suppose?

So now I will run another test to make sure that NEITHER-traditional DAQ still works also. But so far so good.

    Thanks, Darryl

  • Why NIDAQ claim that a device is connected when it is not, and how do I get to stop it

We are using Windows XP embedded and the USB 6211 (OEM) the problem is for every new daq card which must be connected to the NIDaq system lists it as Dev1, Dev2 and so on.  The problem comes if you remove a daq card and replace with another, then he calls Dev1 and if your software loads Dev1 NIDaq doesn't bother to tell you that the device is not really there until you try to start a task.  Also on XP embedded Mesurmant and Assistant automation gets not installed/compiled with the image so there is no way to remove Dev1 to be able to "Dev2' Dev1.  Is there a way to tell what devices are REALLY connected to the system?

Sorry for the false assumption on your language of choice. The two functions are DAQmxGetSysDevNames and DAQmxGetDevIsSimulated.  DAQmxGetSysDevNames returns an array of the fo devices in your system.  I ran in a loop For and reinforced with each device.  If I call the DAQmxGetDevIsSimulated on a device that does not exist, an error will be thrown. If it is simulated a true will be returned as well.  My code is that waiting for the first device which is not simulated and is present in the system.

  • NIDAQ no visible channels by the opc client

I have a 9188 NiDAQ connected to a PC via ethernet. All modules are visible in MAX and check out OK but if I try to connect using OPC, I don't see an item "ServerPollingRate". Is there something I need to do to get the NI OPC server for publication channels?

It's my first time with the 9188, I used the expansion chassis compact fieldpoint several times before without any problem.

    Hey,.

You run an OPC Server OR on the PC? What you're reading with / publish on?

It would be useful to have a system diagram or description, and what you've done so far in what concerns the implementation.

Here's a pretty good overview of the OPC with DAQmx configuration, it might have the answers you are looking for.

  • IMAQdx nidaq

    Hello

I am a newbie of LV, your patience is appreciated

I posted in the Councils of labview, but because I work a lot with imaqdx I thought I should post here also.

I work with a gigabit Prosilica GE 680 camera connected to my computer via Intel PRO 1000 G/T and I also work with a M NI USB 6212 BNC series. Connected to the nor-daq is a source of light on each of the AnalogOut0 and AnalogOut1, as well as 3 analog: read analog two of the three outputs, the other entrance is a signal of the camera by saying that it is imaging or not.

I was debugging the code from someone who is no longer around to help. The code basically allows the user to synchronize two things: 1) capture and recording of a number of specified length avi, which in my hands, is typically movies of 2 sec to 200 images per second AND 2) to turn off the two sources of light at times during the movie and specified. The problem is in the precise timing of the light sources with the camera exposure period.

From now the lights turn on and off in my movies, which is good. The problem is that the camera lights late compared to the signal of departure as evidenced by the output signal "imaging" sent by the camera in one of the analog inputs. The result is that the lights seem to lights at the beginning of the avi saved since the movie begins later that it is specified. It's not ideal.

What changes should I make to the labview code to make sure that the camera is precisely synchronized with the analog?

Thanks and let me know what information you need from me.

    -Alex

    Hello again,

I solved the problem. It was a hardware problem. Using SyncOut2 instead of SyncOut1 on my camera Prosilica 680 GE gave me the schedule that I specify. No major code changes was necessary, other than changes to support the change of equipment.

The question remains as to why works SyncOut2 and SyncOut1 does not. After consulting the technical manual for the camera, I realized that the use of SyncOut1 requires that I use the ground isolated on 12 IO pins my camera. Although I am a novice to the electronics, it seems to me that this would require a line that goes from the isolated ground my mass of the external circuit DAQ. I didn't get it, even if I did when I tried SyncOut2. This missing connection can have an impact on power SyncOut1 send a trigger to the acquisition of data.

The reason why I started with SyncOut1 that is an SMB connection to BNC, which seemed to be a convenient way to get the camera to trigger the acquisition of data. Yes, I was lazy. If it turns out that I still need to connect an isoground on the 12pin to the DAQ extground convenience then disappears.

I understood what the analog input wavegraphs look like now that the timing is good.

Two additional questions that I have for those of you who have followed this thread. I supplied the information that could have led to this solution? I'm missing something in my introduction and ups tracking?

Despite the outstanding issues I will mark this as resolved issue. Kudos to Bruce for helping me to think about it.

    Hi nirvtek.

It looks like what you want really is:

I tried this on a simulated with 9233 cDAQ chassis (where [device] = "cDAQ2Mod1"), and it returns a list of channels which included "cDAQ2Mod1/ai0,..., cDAQ2Mod1/ai3.

  • Why is the selection of the mode disabled in max for NIDAQ-USB-6009?

I try to use NOR-USB-6009 AO to generate the sinusoidal signal.

    (1) I want to use MAX, but the selection of the mode and frequency are all disabled in the "Analog output" section

    (2) I find a VB example to generate the sine wave, but I received an error message.

I want to know if the OR-6009 function support limited or not...?

    The attachment includes the screenshot.

    Thank you very much!

    Kevin

    Kevin,

Yes. Timed software means that the appliance has no internal clock or the buffer. You call the AO write with data point. Then you call AO write later with another data point. Repeat until cooked. This means that the maximum rate of update of the AO is approximately 100 hertz or a little faster. It also means that there is a lot of jitter of synchronization due to latencies of the OS at speeds like that.

Think about AO on the USB-6009 case as a parameter Variant sometimes of continuous tension for your system.

You can install the complete DAQmx or execution of the core in the DAQmx. Either one is a few clicks away by selecting "support" at the top of the page and then looking for the version that you want to.

    Hi all

I found the cause of the issue, it is a bad combination of (old) driver NI DAQ and my camera.

I checked the compatibility of the driver and the device and discovered that I have a different driver from the old series of boards that for the University, we bought and missed me the cd drivers (who disappeared

I downloaded the new driver NIDAQ1400f1 (or something like that).

    Now it's working.

Thank you all for your answers.

@Valkoa: thanks for the reply unfortunately the camera isn't apperaing anywhere despite his success my router of a lease
