No access to Windows Vista Home Premium more - need help please!

Hello

I made the most stupidest mistake by not creating a password reset disk.  I have one account administrator, and this is my account, I use as well.  I am currently logged in as "guest".  I tried to create a password reset disk from another computer with Vista Home Premium and tried to reset my password, but can not, as happens with an error.  Now, I know that there must be a way to get new.  I have an idea of what is my password, but I could have made a typo when I re-printing and since disconnecting and tried to reconnect to test, it didn't.  Lycky for me, I have activated the Geust account for a friend to use.  So now I'm stuck.  I need to reconnect, so I'm desperate, and re - install Windows is not an option either.  Pretty anyone can help me please.  I tried all combinations and tried to make deliberate typos to see if I can get the correct password, but not to go at all.  And the geust account limit me to access what it is, I can't install of the software, it asks me my administrator password.  Is there another way around it.  Please please help.  If there is anything I can do in Windows, there's a few other kindof thing I can do at least.  All that will be a great help.

Thanks in advance.

  • Crash in Windows Vista Home Premium

My Dell with Windows Vista Home Premium OS desktop computer crashed.  How can I get a new Installation of Vista, or the recovery disc when I have an activation key valid for my OS.  I can only start in safe mode and can't access the Internet on this subject.

    Hello

You can contact Dell and ask them to send you a set of recovery disks.

They should do this for a small fee.

And if you have never received a recovery disk when you bought your computer, there should be a recovery Partition on the hard drive to reinstall Vista on how you purchased your computer.

Here's how it works with a Dell:

    http://support.Dell.com/support/topics/global.aspx/support/KCS/document?c=us&l=en&s=Gen&docid=DSN_336966&isLegacy=true

Some manufacturers have more available Vista recovery disks.

If this happens and / or your recovery partition is damaged, you may need to try this instead:

You can also borrow and use a Microsoft Vista DVD, which contains the files for the different editions of Vista (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate) must be installed. The product key on your computer / Laptop box determines what Edition is installed.

Other manufacturers recovery DVDs are should not be used for this purpose.

And you need to know the version of 'bit' for Vista, as 32-bit and 64-bit editions come on different DVDs

Here's how to do a clean install of Vista using a DVD of Vista from Microsoft:

"How to do a clean install and configure with a full Version of Vista '

    http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/117366-clean-install-full-version-Vista.html

And once the operating system is installed, go to your computer manufacturer's website and get the latest drivers for your particular model or laptop computer.

And phone Activation may be necessary when you use the above installation method.

"How to activate Vista normally and by Activation of the phone '

    See you soon.

  • Validation in Windows Vista Home Premium at the start: errors and complications.

I was directed to this forum as a last chance for my situation.  I'll copy what I wrote before:

First of all: I can't run Microsoft Genuine Advantage Diagnostic Tool.

With that of the road, I'll try to explain my situation.  Earlier today, I ran in the hope to get rid of some unnecessary files in disk cleanup. Well, he eventually delete most everything out of my C: drive.  So I ran a restoration of the system to an earlier time.  After the restoration, I tried to connect but received a box saying that my Windows Vista Home Premium product key is not valid.  They gave me three options:

Reduced functionality mode (does not work; see below)

    Enter the product key

Contact HP - do you have this: they wanted $ 100.

Now before to get started by offering suggestions, you need to get more information.

I can't use the reduced functionality mode.  When I click on it, an error with file not found window appears.  The only way I can access my desktop is by going into safe mode, and I can't go in safe mode with network.  So based on this little bump in the road, I was not able to use the tips I found online, because none of those working in safe mode.

Now there is more.  Frustrated, I tried to follow guides anyway.  So I followed the following steps:

    Step #3 game

    (1) open Internet browser

    (2) Type%windir%\system32into the browser address bar.

    (3) find the CMD.exe file

    (4) make a right click on CMD.exe and selectrun as administrator

    (5) type: net stop slsvc (it may ask you if you are sure, click Yes)

    (6) type: cd %windir%\ServiceProfiles\NetworkService\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\SoftwareLicensing

    (7) type: Rename tokens.dat tokens.bar

    (8) type: cd %windir%\system32

    (9) Typenet start slsvc

    (10) type: cscript slmgr.vbs - FLIR (it may take time for this will be complete, please be patient)

    (11) restart twice

Not only that not solve my problem (since I was in safe mode I was refused permission), but it has created a new problem.  Now when I start my computer normally, IM is more given three options (reduced functionality mode, enter a product key, contact HP).

Instead, when I log on, an error pops up saying: "Insert the Windows CD or installation DVD into your computer to begin the process of resettlement." Now, my computer was shipped with windows and everything installed by the factory with the sticker on the side of the tower.  I have no Dvd or Cd.

I've had this computer for almost 3 years and I can not lose what I have on my computer. I have a genuine copy of Windows.  I have no idea what I'm supposed to do now.

    I used these links:

  • KB2296011 causes the blank screen in Windows Vista Home Premium?

I'm troubleshooting an issue with an installation of Windows Vista Home Premium on a laptop. After Tuesday October 12 updates, the laptop goes to a blue screen after authentication with any account. There is a mobile cursor mouse, but nothing else. C/a. gives the menu, but "Start Task Manager" has no effect, restart will only work.

I am able to login normally mode without failure. Remove the update KB2296011 removes the problem, I narrowed down it to only this update. It is now necessary to restart and use system restore to go back before this particular update to access Windows.

I did the following to troubleshoot:

    (1) I tried to install the system update tool, which had no effect.

    (2) I tried to install the KB2296011 update manually after downloading, the problem returns after installing.

    (3) I tried to install the KB2296011 update manually mode without failure by another post here, but this is not possible, which gives the following error: "Windows Update Standalone Installer: Installer encountered an error: 0x8007043c.»  This service cannot be started in Mode safe. »

It seems up to present have no way to obtain this update to install without the origin of the white screen issue. Please advice, thank you.

OK, it looks like at this will be my last post.

This technician seems to address the issue much differently from the rest. After the things we have done in my previous post, he seems convinced that the problem occurs when this security update is installed, it thinks it's UAC which is damaged, and possibly other files. If its resolution suggested the problem is to run a repair on Vista installation, in order to repair potentially damaged or corrupted files. This would correspond well with hijackware theory posted earlier, too.

It seems door by another symptom not reported to me or noticed until now. With or without UAC enabled, standard users cannot connect. It passes the connection, in the preparation of your office for a disconnection. Administrative users can connect very well. As the primary user of the machine is an administrator (of course!), this was not noticed until I created a Standard user to test and found this problem.

I hope than a repair installation (or even better, an upgrade, as I prefer to simply wipe the HD and start over) will solve the problem. The machine has 2 GB of RAM and a 2 GHz dual core chip, so I think it can handle very well (my wife does mobile) Win7.

I hope that all of this novel, we have written here will help others as well.

  • just bought ghostbusters game pc, but it is very slow on my WINDOWS VISTA Home premium... of suggestions?

I installed the game ghostburters on windows vista Home premium with service Pack 1 and it runs very slowly, I tried the upgrade a few things bo nothing helps.

whay can I do to improve the speed?

Well, that may depend on how fast your computer is.  Games have the system requirements listed on the box or the Web site that you downloaded from.  Your computer should generally be at or better than the recommended settings.  Otherwise games will run slowly or not work.  If the game runs slow, in general, you can buy a graphics card faster to make it go more quickly, but it depends greatly on this kind of material you have in your computer now.

Hi, I want to know if I install Windows Vista Home Premium on my Windows XP Home Edition it will go faster? Now, Windows XP is very slow and my son wants to play online games and he can't because the computer will have to slow down. So I was wondering if I install the Windows Vista disc I had, this will make faster? and the computer I have an adapter to receive Web, couldn't that make it slow to? Please answer.

It depends on the specifications of the system... XP might be infected with something, if its slow. You have it scanned with an AV program or something? Vista needs a bit more ram than XP. So, if there is not enough ram in the system, Vista can be just as slow (or slower) than XP. If the conversation of youre cable is an ethenet cable, you need it. Or you will not get on the internet

  • Why Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit installs not Windows updates?

I am not able to download and install Windows Vista Home Premium 32 bit windows update.  This Gateway laptop has always been able to quickly and easily install the update by clicking windows update.  However, since the introduction of Windows 10 it has been a lot of your time trying to install updates.  I had this same problem with Windows 7 too.  Never before there was no problem for the two operating systems.  Installation of Windows updates has always been easy and fast without any problem.  Running the troubleshooting isn't good and hunting error codes has been unproductive.  What the hell is happening?

    Hi Joe Cool1:

'Check for updates...' crashes and slow Windows updates currently affect the SP2 for Vista and Win 7 SP1 users, and I doubt it's a coincidence that Microsoft has ended mainstream support and only provides support for these two operating systems.  The evidence points more to a problem with the Windows Update Agent (WUA Vista, C:\Windows\system32\wuaueng.dll v7.6.7600.256 has not been updated since June 2012) and the problem tends to be more prevalent on computers with slower processors and a limited amount of RAM.
