No audio HDMI via HDMI to SONY LED TV connection

When I connect an HDMI cable to my SONY LED TV it shows no audio HDMI to TV, only the image (what ever on pc), but the audio is coming from speakers to computer.

Hi Umesh,

Follow the steps below to see if the problem can be solved.

1. right click on the volume icon in the system tray, click playback devices.

2. right click on the empty space of the playback window, click on "Show disabled devices" and "show disconnected devices".

3. check if HDMI is listed, if so, set as the default value.

  • No audio HDMI with Windows 7 Ultimate

Since the departure of Vista with Windows 7 Ultimate, I lost audio HDMI.  I can connect video successfully to my Sony KDL46VL150 but will not come out through the home theater system.  It comes via the laptop.  I tried to update the drivers, but clearly, I have not found the right pair.  I tried as well through the website of HP, and Intel.

The audio drivers in the system are now:

Stwrt64.sys IDT High Definition Audio CODEC Version 6.10.6276.0

Intel(r) High Definition Audio HDMI IntcHdmi.sys Version 6.10.0.2056

I suspect that the HDMI driver is not 64-bit.

    Any other suggestions?

Thanks for the tips.  I downloaded the drivers and the saved on the desktop as you suggested.  However, I could not find the graphics driver as you have described.

I also followed the following suggestion I had to re-boot with the HDMI cable connected to the TV and it worked.  I see now that I have 2 identical drivers (Mobile Intel 4 Series Express Chipset Family) loaded in graphics cards.

In any case, the problem is resolved.

    Thank you very much.

  • Problem with my Acer Aspire 5552-5686 and 5.1 Audio HDMI

Hi all, I recently bought a SONY HT-SS380 Home Theatre, and I tried to connect it to my Acer Aspire 5552-5686 by HDMI port. (I have Windows 7).

My problem is that I have can´t set up the laptop to use more than 2 channels (stereo). I ve been looking around the internet and there seems to be a common problem with this computer, but I can´t understand why or how to fix it.

I ve tried to install the latest Realtek Audio drivers, the Catalyst Control Center, some Audio HDMI of ATI drivers. I Don t know what else to try!

    Any help?

    Thank you very much!

This isn't the audio chipset of this system, which I listed above.

The audio chipset to send the data in 5.1 surround.  The HDMI port would support, if it was sent.

It is not sent in this way, I listed above.

  • Media Center Audio HDMI works partially

Under Windows 7 Ultimate on a HP laptop. The HDMI port on the laptop is connected to my HDTV 1080 p. The sound works fine through HDMI when I navigate the menus. All sounds click and selection in Media Center out of the TV and they sound wonderful: rich, deep tones. The sound does NOT come through the speakers of the laptop. It clearly comes through the cable HDMI and HDTV.

(Sorry to be so redundant here sounds but I needed to make it clear that HDMI audio through the TV works somehow.)

However, when I play recorded TV or live TV via Media Center, it is without audio at all. When I run the audio Setup Wizard in Media Center, I get the same result. I hear all the button press tones when executing step by step through the wizard, but the actual trial play without audio through the HDTV. I did the audio HDMI by default in Control Panel, but it does not help.

I got exactly the problem you described.  All the sound elements worked perfectly except for the live TV or record tv.  I tried all combinations of options that I could, I finally found this site with a slightly different question, but the settings got my audio work for the tv.

Goto Control Panel / hardware and sound / manage audio devices
Make sure Realtek Digital Output Audio is the only one his device enabled
Update highlight digital audio output, and select Properties
    Then select Supported Formats tab
Deselect formats all encoded; so no encoded formats should be checked in this section (Note: If you do not select a format and then hit test you won't notice any noise is heard during the test)
Make sure that only 48.0 khz is selected in the section of sampling rate
    Apply the settings
Return to the Media center and sound should work for live TV

Here's what you need to do to get the HDMI audio to work...

Download and save, but are not run this graphics Intel W8.1 driver.

After installing 7 - Zip, right-click on the file of the Intel graphics driver that you downloaded.

Select 7 - Zip from the list of items.

Have 7-zip extract of: and leave it to decompress the file in the file name (sp63750).

After 7-zip created the driver folder, go to the Device Manager and click on the Audio device high definition with the! Select this option.

Click on the driver tab, click on set to update driver.  Select her browse my computer for driver software option and navigate to the driver 7-zip created folder.

    Hello:

Can you go to the "manage audio devices" under the material and audio menu in the control panel and select the integrated sound card?

I'm sure that when you connect an HDMI cable on a device, the sound from the audio chip in the chip audio hdmi, so see if you can change to the edge and then you should have your sound back.

The computer has no idea that the device at the other end of the hdmi cable has no audio capabilities and just assumes he did and think he's doing you a favor by automatically switching the audio chips.

I have a new laptop that I just got ordered directly through the HP site. I plug the HDMI cable and plug the cable on my TV and I get no sound on my TV. I already have a click with the button straight on the volume icon and selected playback devices and there is no device audio high definiion listed. I also have a click right and select Show Disabled/switches and nothing appears.

How is it possible to have a new laptop with no Audio HDMI capabilies? Help, please. I tried to figure this out for days.

    Hello:

See if reinstalling the Intel HD audio driver and restart the PC solves the problem.

The graphic driver install the HDMI audio driver.

This package provides the driver that allows graphics Intel high definition (HD) in the notebook models that are running an operating system supported. If the video output high-definition multimedia interface (HDMI) is supported, this package also installs the HDMI Audio Driver.

  • How to make my computer send all audio data via an optical audio cable instead of making headphones?

    Howdy,

To listen to the radio online or CD played from my computer, I used to connect the computer to my entertainment system at home since the headphone jack of the computer to the port on my home entertainment system.

Now, I wanted to get a better sound and bought the optical audio cable. However, I don't know how to tell my computer to send the audio signal to the system entertainmeny home via digital cable optical, rather than by the headphone. If I just disconnect the cable between the headphone and the port to THE and have only the PC and the system connected with the optical audio cable, I can't hear any sound. I suspect that the computer is not sending the data through the optical audio port. I'm not able to figure out how I can adjust the settings on my computer so that, from now on, all sounds are emitted through the optical audio.

    (1) I want to do it especially for my desktop HP (configuration below) and advice on how to do this would be appreciated.

    (2) I also have a HP laptop (configuration below) and I was wondering if this would be feasible too (even if she does not have an audio output, but it has an HDMI output - you can convert audio optical?)

    Hello @_goma,.

Welcome to the HP Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience!

I read your post about how you want to send all the audio data via an optical audio cable instead of the headphone jack of your computer, and I'd be happy to help you in this case!

To configure your desktop computer to activate the optical audio cable, I advise you to follow the steps below:

Step 1. Click on the button of the Windows key on your desktop

    Step 2. Type "Control Panel."

Step 3. Select "Control Panel" in the upper right corner

    Step 4. Select sound

Step 5. On the Read tab, right click on the white box under available devices

Step 6. Select "Show disabled" and "show disconnected devices".

Step 7. Connect your Audio optical cable

Step 8. Select your cable Audio perspective as the default device, and click 'enable '.

Because it is not possible to convert the audio output HDMI output on your laptop, it is regrettable that the laptop is not able to connect with an optical audio cable.

Please re-post with the results of your troubleshooting, and I look forward to your response!

  • No audio HDMI laptop computer connecting VAIO from Sony Soundbar

There is no audio signal when connecting my VAIO SVF14N13CXB win 8.1 race to a bar of his Sony SA-CT26OH.

Video works very well, and it worked when I "upgraded" to windows 10.  However when I returned to Windows 8.1 it wouldn't work. I tested the cable connecting it to a different TV and audio/video works great.  I've updated all the drivers and showed ' disconnected/disabled' features in the sound settings, but it shows same never a HDMI output for me device allow the way it does on the other TV.

    Bingo!  I thought about it!

The only way that it would recognize the attached device was if I restarted the laptop and booted up it with the already connected HDMI cable.

  • Dolby Digital Audio output via HDMI on Satellite A200 cable?

I don't see how to get a Dolby Digital signal on my laptop!

I have a screen LCD HD 1080 p television. With the help of a cable HDMI from laptop to TV gives a beautiful image. I then use an optical link between TV and Surround amplifier... However the amp does not recognize the signal as a Dolby Digital signal.

The record is not clear on issues of Audio. The Toshiba HD-DVD player shows Dolby Digital option and I guess that's out put down the HDMI cable? I hear through the TV speakers.

    Hints would be much appreciated.

    Hello

To be honest I didn t know that there is Satellite A200 laptops with HDMI output. Can you please tell me what A200 you have (A200-xxx)? Are you really sure have an A200?

Back to your problem: as far as I know the Digital Dolby audio can be sent if the laptop has S/PDIF port. You must also use an optical cable and connect laptop to your amp directly.

What you do now is send the signal to the TV only. I don't really know if you can browse the Dolby signal to the amp.

  • Problems audio HDMI - Aspire V Nitro

    Hi all:

I have a problem with my laptop Aspire V Nitro. I have a Sony amp that I use to listen to the radio and play music. I have 2 speakers and a subwoofer connected to the amplifier. When I play the radio on the amplifier or when I connect an HDMI android Tablet and play music, the speakers and subwoofer working great. When I connect my laptop via HDMI cable, only labour speakers, subwoofer is off. I tried to update the audio drivers, etc, etc, but without success.

    ¿Any idea what's wrong?

    Thank you and best regards,

    Ignacio

Right click on the speaker near the clock icon and the date, choose playback devices, click on HDMI and click on configure, you are able to put the 2.1?

If this is not the case, check on the options of the Intel VGA drivers.

I think HDMI is streaming a pure audio (stereo) 2.0 for the subwoofer is not involved, or you should check some settings of your amplifier to activate the subwoofer even without the active secondary channel streaming.

Please check if your Intel VGA driver is the latest available on the Acer support Web site:
