No audio - sound card drivers

I have an interview audio soundblaster CT4870 and just upgraded vista to xp. I can't find the drivers for this card anywhere. I checked the website of creative labs and always impossible to find.

Well, if creative has not produced the Vista drivers your not going to find anywhere else

    Hi Kim

Method 2 worked with a slight modification. I uninstalled the audio driver, but was unable to reinstall a driver from the manufacturer provided. Instead, I reinstalled the original drivers that have been given a disk when I bought the computer. I now have my sound back. Your advice was a great help. Thank you

  • HP Envy Phoenix: Disabling Beats Audio Sound card in desktop HP Envy Phoenix

Here's my problem, my HP Envy Phoenix office above came with Beats Audio standard install, I installed a new card his SoundBlaster Audigy 5/Rx installed fine, but one of my audio editing programs says

The output of the sound card could not be defined at this sampling frequency: 44100 Hz

Either the device does not support this sampling frequency, or it is in slave mode and its sampling frequency cannot be changed by elements of WaveLab. So how do I know if my new sound card is running in slave mode and how do I change this? or maybe disable the card Audio Beats?

    Thanks in advance,

    SP60

    SP60, welcome to the forum.

Beats Audio should automatically be turned off when the sound card is installed.  However, you can go to the control panel Audio Beats and uncheck the "Set as default device".  You can do this with the recording device, too.

Please click on the Thumbs up button '+' if I helped you and click on "Accept as Solution" If your problem is resolved.

  • I need sound card drivers for my system Windows XP Professional. Where can I find free downloads?

A friend downloaded Windows XP Professional on my computer, but he didn't have the drivers on his CD.  I got Windows 7 but there are major problems with a network without wire so proposed technical support adapter I have reinstall the operating system.  I couldn't find the installation cd as we just moved so I went down to XP.  It works very well and the adapter works, but I have no sound.

  • Home PC will not boot Windows Vista after updating sound card drivers.

Okay, so I built a brand new pc last night. A worked like a charm, perfectly executed and all. Installed a new sound card, opened it and a few minutes put in my computer, install the drivers and had it works perfectly. Windows loaded perfectly, no problem at all anywhere. Then I'll update the drivers for the sound card, a large download but he finished. He was trying to install the drivers, then while he was, I've been on google chrome on facebook and then randomly, I lost the internet connection. My receiver wifi for my computer was fine and turned on and running great, but for some reason any my computer does not pick up a signal even if all my other devices don't. When the drivers have been installed and the updates are finished, I rebooted my computer.

Problems from there. I turned the computer back and tried to boot windows, but computer science got to the vista loading screen and then resets. He made several times. So I tried to boot into the last known good configuration. I spent the loading screen, then a flashed blue screen with a bunch of words and he said something along the lines of "Windows has encountered an error", but disappeared in literally one second about. Then the computer shuts down. Since then whenever I try to start in windows, I don't yet get to the loading screen, any choice I use to try to start in windows, no work. When I choose one my computer just is a black screen. It loads the bios very well and everything works great but the OS is the question.

    Any suggestions?

The Webcam Live! sound card was "placed" as a "legacy" product until Windows 7 was first be "shipped".  You will have a problem finding drivers and even less how it works.  I tried the "replacement: Audigy to work on my Windows 7 and it was a new model from Creative Labs."

You should probably consider a replacement of the sound card.

  • Qosmio F10 display and sound card drivers do not install

Hello, my hard drive went, and the replacement, we used the toshiba recovery disc.

We have installed the Intel chip software, then the driver NVIDIA. It says its installed but makes no difference after you restart the computer. Audio driver begins to install and then says driver not found. We have downloaded the new drivers and get the same results.

The operating system is XP home. Any notice are apperciated.

    Hi sweet,

    > It says its installed but makes no difference after you restart the computer.
What difference do? After the driver installation, your computer will start in the same way as before so I know what a difference you expect after installing the driver.

As Akuma written normally after using the disk recovery, all the drivers and tools are pre-installed. You have yellow exclamation marks in Device Manager?

  • Pavilion C. 541 no ethernet controller or sound card drivers

    1. I simply formatted & reloaded a very old version of XP on the 541 C I bought at Costco 8 years. SP1 to be exact. I am unable to connect to my modem with my SW service provider. The 1394 Net adapter works correctly. I called around and looked for the driver here at HP, but can't find it. In addition there is no multimedia audio driver, so I have no speaker output. Can someone tell me where to find what I need to get back online. I am currently using dialup, and it's very painful.

Thanks for any help with this.

  • Help! Latitude D830, NONE of the drivers sound card works!

I am ready to never touch a Dell again... It is the last resort. Outside driver imprecise downloads and a way to show the pilots should be together, if the forums do not solve my problem, GG Dell.

OK needed that little bit of frustration on the situation at hand.

    Laptop: Latitude D830

    OS: Windows XP Pro SP3

    Problem:? Other devices?

    Data interface

    Data interface

    Ethernet controller

    PCI device

These are the things that apparently have no drivers available for download from the dell website?   My biggest problem is solid... I'm going to assume that "PCI Device" is the sound card, but I assumed prior it was integrated as a result would not be PCI. I tried all the drivers its unique card which = Latitude D830 / 32-bit of Windows XP.  Whenever I try to install the driver, it fails and indicates that the system is wrong etc.

I changed the BIOS, etc. It is a problem very very very very very very very very very frustrating because there seems to be no one else with this problem, and if there is someone so I was not able to find a thread about it.  Please help me before go me crazy.

I was wondering do you know sound card drivers who recognize the sound card for the d830 with win 7

The D830 has Sigmatel audio hardware. The company went bankrupt before Win 7 but you can install the Sigmatel Vista version R171788 in compatibility mode.

Download the driver package and extract the files (unzip or decompress and take note of the name of the folder created) but cancel the installation process. Go to the folder on the hard disk to which you have unpacked the driver files
    c:\Dell\Drivers\Rxxxxxx

Find the setup.exe file and right-click on it. Select Properties. Find the Compatibility tab and select Vista.
