The printer door does not shut down after printing
HP Envy110 model D411c. I printed out a page, the door opened, the extension arm is released, but was partially blocked. The printed page in the status bar and was recovered, the extension arm retracted, but the printer door has not closed completely. I printed the pages since then, everything works well except for the door. It closed partially and stops. No warning appears on the screen. I have to close to allow the doors close. Help!
OK, I have a solution thanks to the autonomy and the helpline UK. At least, it works for my desire 120th All In One.
The door / cover will always return to the position where the task was started. I don't remember to start work with the Panel in the raised position, but apparently I did.
Solution: With the printer, gently push the door closed. Now print or copy. As the work that started with the door closed, he will return to this position even when the work is completed.
Why oh why is anybody's guess. Good luck!

PC HP ENVY 15 x 360: hp laptop does not shut down when I click on stop.
I wanted a HP for almost two and it will never stop by pressing stop. Screen goes black but the fan continues to run.
Only way to get it to stop is to hold the power button / stop for 6-7 seconds
Hello
If your laptop has an Intel chipset, try the following.
Open settings and select System. Select food and sleep, and then click additional power settings - in the next window, click on "Choose what the power button" in the left pane.
In the next window, click on "Change settings that are currently unavailable" (close), then Remove the check mark from the box against 'Turn on a quick start (recommended) '. Click on the button Save the settings, and then close the open windows and restart the laptop.
When windows has reloaded, download the driver directly from Intel IMEI on the following link, unzip the and run the installer.
Once the installation is complete, restart the laptop.
When the machine rebooted, re - activate the quick start and restart the computer once more - let Windows take over completely for a few minutes before checking.
Kind regards

Hello
I have posted responses to other posts on this topic, but thought I'd start a new thread to gather my conclusions. I'm sorry for a trial
This PC is virtually brand new (only a few weeks now) and otherwise perform exceptionally.
Basically, if the machine is disconnected from the power grid (i.e. the power is off at the plug or the power cord removed), when the machine is supplied then the CPU fan turns over 2000 rpm and stays there. All the other PC that I do this too, but the fan will slow down after turning upward. I know that this is done as part of the POST to check that the fan is running.
If I go into any installation of seed, start-up or BIOS for example (i.e. by pressing ESC or F10 etc.), the fan will slow down immediately up to 700 rpm. It will stay like that until the next time the machine is started against the cold. If I shut down the PC - watch or stop - but do not cut the power supply, then the next time the machine is started, the fan is still about 700 rpm. It is not to turn up to 2 k + RPM when lit.
As soon as I unplug, then the next time the PC boots, it will turn to the top and I have to repeat steps - off, boot, enter the BIOS, exit and continue. It is something to do with the cold start.
Note that I don't have to do anything in the start menu - I for example go to the BIOS settings, exit without saving the changes, and the fan will still slow. It's going in the boot sector that slows down the fan.
When the PC started out-of-the-box, I opted for the upgrade to Windows 10 during installation. I have read in various places that people had experienced after the upgrade, so I reset the machine to factory settings (Win 8.1) and have not upgraded, but the problem persisted. However convinces me that Windows 10 has been removed completely, as when I went to restore the backup image (i.e. dating back to what I had before the factory reset) there are references to 10 Windows (for example, it says 'Continue to Windows 10' as well as various food options). I do not understand UEFI so I don't know if that was involved.
I tried to change the power plan options "Processor power management-> cooling system strategy" on the liabilities side, but no joy there.
I think that the fan and sensors work, based on the findings below. These readings of temp and fan are taken from AIDA64
After starting cold (current was cut, without entering the BIOS), machine runs dry without load
Exactly the same thing--starting in cold, but go in the BIOS, do nothing and continue. Once again, no load
This is after power off and resarting, but to let the PC network
After the above, I used Prime95 to put the CPU support (use of 95-100%), and after an hour, the readings are:
Note that even so, the fan was not particularly strong, but it's at 2222 rpm as in the first reading.
If I play at 4K (the whole point of the PC ) the CPU so far got very warm, the GPU is but his fan turns up as planned.
In conclusion, it seems that the POST has a problem because it does not slow down the fan after the test.
I can live with let the machine always plugged into the sector (for example, most of the time) and I guess that's what most people do, but I would like to know what the problem is (for example if it's really something 10 Windows, or a bug in the BIOS/UEFI)
Thank you very much!
John
Explain you a lot of people who maybe have returned their system immediately because of this? Others might judge normal sound. Not irritable average is not coming here to complain. Others might judge her so little. They simply don't like. You will never convince me that is not a BIOS problem. As the problem resolves itself when you enter manually each time. It can be reproduced every time.

Original title: battery
When the battery dies on Windows 7 Home premium, what makes the look of the laptop screen as to everyone with the same computer? (IE black, dim and then black, dim and white and then black, Sun & blue, etc.)
And you always get the "Windows did not shut down correctly, please choose an option (safe mode, safe mode with network, start windows normally)" Note?It could be a hardware problem, so it is best to contact DELL or a local technician if the problem persists.
As a work around, I suggest to update the drivers of the computer display and check if it makes a difference.
Download the drivers from http://www.dell.com/support/drivers/us/en/19/Product/latitude-e6410

Laptop does not start until after the virus attack
Last night I was browsing the web when suddenly I got a lot of warnings of viruses Microsoft arise. I immediately disconnected and then ran a full scan of the system of McAfee, but he can't find anything, so I keep the laptop. Now when I try to start it, just at the point where the wallpaper appears (but), I get the following message - "Data Execution Prevention - to help protect your computer, Windows has closed this program - converter of Cookie by Microsoft. The boot process and then stops and goes no further. I then click "close message" (which is the only option), then get a 'Cookie converter has encountered a problem and needs to close... ". "Please tell Microsoft this problem"... window. The laptop remains frozen, regardless if I click 'Send error report' or 'do not send '. My only option then must he put off, which seems to be quite normally, i.e. "Logging Off" followed by "Windows is shutting down".
I tried booting in safe mode and also "safe mode, last known good configuration", but exactly the same thing happens every time either I can't past the error message above.
Can anyone suggest what I can try?
I am running Windows XP SP3 and I am up to date with all Windows updates.
I agree with Akuma.
In this case backup your data and use the Toshiba Recovery disk and reinstall Windows. It only takes a few minutes and not so long as trying to correct the problem.
I think it would be the best solution because the same phenomenon occurs in safe mode and last known good configuration. -

Note: The manufacturer was required to provide a way to reinstall Windows. If it is not a set of disks with the computer, there will be a hidden restore partition (do not be confused with the system restore), you would use to return the computer to the State of the OOBE (Out of Box Experience).

I have a HP Pavilion dv9000 that sits on a desk, open most of the time. Now I am closing for a trip and the Summit does not close. If I try to force it, the image begins to pull out of the display. It seems that the hinge on the left side is blocked. Is there something I can do?
It's a very common on the dv9000 problem. Seize in the hinges. Stop trying to move the cover. The seized hinge will start to destroy plastics and the surrounding metal parts. The hinges are easily accessible:
Here is the Service Manual:
http://h10032.www1.HP.com/CTG/manual/c01311536.PDF
You must remove the screen and then open the display case and replace the hinges. It seems more difficult than it is.

So today, I decided to upgrade my firmware to the latest 9.3.2 via iTunes 9.2. Everything was fine. Both PC and iTunes recognized my phone and the upgrade process was fine, until suddenly I'm met by a mistake to say that the update failed, which was then followed by an immediate blue screen of death, with the error pointing to 'asmtxhci.sys', the XHCI Host Controller Driver of ASMedia Technology Inc.. My phone is then stuck in DFU, and my PC mode and iTunes refuses to recognize my device. I checked Device Manager and noticed this strange spectacle:
It lists somehow my camera as two separate. I tried to install the drivers manually from "C:\Program Files\Common Apple Mobile Device Support\Drivers". I managed to install the drivers for the DFU mode (but he didn't) I met for the first device, but when I tried for the second device by mistake 10 "device could not start" or something like that.
I don't know how to proceed from here. I tried so many stuff, read so many other messages, but I have not seen anyone with my problems, that's why I went here. I'm half - panic right now...
This sounds like a rather nasty problem - maybe a conflict with ASMedia USB and Apple Mobile Device Driver. If you do a Google search on "asmtxhci.sys" you may reports of this cause the blue screen of death (BSOD). There are a few patches recommended, but I'm not going to suggest anything as I'm not familiar with any of them and they could cause various other problems (even worse). Good luck!!!

Qosmio G50 - Windows does not shut down without memory stick inserted
I have a Qosmio G50 running Windows 7. The pc does not stop unless I have my USB stick inserted. Without the USB, I can tell the pc to stop. Without the inserted stick, the pc will say that it stops and remains on the screen closed for 10-15 minutes and then restart.
However, as soon as I put the USB into the USB port, the pc will stop within 2 seconds.
It is not easy to understand the situation and explain why this happens.
Qosmio G50 is not latest model cell phone, so I can't imagine that this strange question comes on the first day.Something like this can be done with the factory settings. The configuration, preinstalled software, background running applications and processes on your Qosmio OS are not known to us is not easy to help you with this.
Somehow, I think that something running in the background blocks of the system. Unfortunately, I can't say what that would be.Check a bit.
By the way: have you noticed the behavior even if you try to use standby or hibernation mode? -
C55-A-100 satellite does not power down after update BIOS 1.30
A week ago, the Toshiba software installed on my C55-A-100 Satellite suggested that I installed a new version of the BIOS to 1.3.
Since installing it my Satellite will not turn off.
If I close the lid the screen turns off but the laptop is running, if I open the lid nothing happens and I have to keep my finger on the power button to force it to close. The same thing happens if I press the power button to turn off, blank screen and it continues to run, then I have to force a shutdown by holding the power button pressed down. I also noticed that the satellite seems to take ages to power.
Can anyone provide a solution or experienced the same problems.
The Satellite is running win 8.1
Thank you
Ben
Please change, as described on http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/TSB2B03EY0002R01.htm and try to proceed to a complete stop.
It work correctly?Have you noticed this problem just at the moment where you change the options of closing lid and pressing the power button?

New laptop will not shut down or restart completely
I have very recently (last week) got a new laptop Acer Aspire E 15 Touch, but I can't seem to stop or restart it.
The first time I stopped it it close normally, but since I closed it down to do updates (110) there will be no more.I'm going to stop it and it just sits on the "shutting down" screen for hours - the same with restart.
I just had to hold the power key to close it (when it is not closed) or just put on sleep.
Thank you.
If you are not able to stop or restart the computer normally due to problems with the Windows updates, you can run the Windows Update Troubleshooter from the following link and check if this is useful:
