  • First of all, try this easy fix that can actually work:

Laptops - forced Reset to solve Hardware and Software questions waterproof Non-removable battery

Laptops - use Hard Reset to solve Hardware and Software issues - removable battery

=====================================================================================

  • After the reset, if this does not work by itself, do try and uninstall the driver again, so it can reinstall at startup:

Reinstall the current validity sensor driver:

  • Control Panel > display icon > device management > biometric devices > Validity Sensor >
  • Right click on the driver Validity Sensor and "Uninstall" (do not remove IT)
  • Restart / reboot the computer and log in
  • The driver will reinstall it connect you to

I received an Elitebook 840 G1, tried to turn on the fingerprint reader, but it was not acknowledged.
Control Panel/biometrics devices, there is no device, although the "Validity Sensor" Device Manager is listed, the pilot seems too. I installed HP ProtectTools Security Manager, where I can find the footprints of the option, but to logon Windows is always Username/Password the only option to log on the system.
Check the BIOS, fingerprint logon is enabled. Tried to uninstall Validity Sensor and then reinstall it, didn't work.

In the meantime, I found the solution:

I've updated HP Client (sp63509) Security Manager, opened the program, registered my fingerprints and checked 'Windows logon security' at home/Advanced Settings / Security Features.

It finally works, I can not connect with my fingerprints.
(Again, under control panel / biometric devices there is no item listed)

    Hi ali_mzahem95,

Welcome to the HP community! I hope you enjoy your experience here! I see that you are having problems with your biometric device. The reason why you couldn't find, is that there are no specific drivers for your model for Windows 8.1. I found the 8.1. version for your biometric device, the link is below. Install and let me know how it goes.

  • Where to get the authentec fingerprint drivers for various computers laptops hp that supports the functionality of the biometric device in windows 7?

    Hello

We build a Windows 7 SOE for a large company that takes care of many models of computers laptops hp. Each of these laptops comes with a fingerprint reader, and we would like to use the built in support of fingerprint (biometric devices) reader that is running windows 7. The models that we support are as follows:

    • HP 6910P
    • HP 6930p
    • HP 8510w
    • HP 8530w

We tried using the drivers of fingerprint Authentec (aes2501a) on the hp website, but after the installation, the biometric device option is not in windows 7. We contacted HP about this and they said that we must use the driver coming from windows update before this option appears. After installing the driver from windows update, the option of the biometric device seemed that hp said. Therefore, because of the way that our SOE is built, we demand that the executable that is identical to that on windows update. Anyone know where we can find packages both x 64 and x 86 for this device driver, which are the same as those found when you go to update windows on these machines running windows 7? Let me know if you need any clarification.

    Thank you

    Hi Mustapha ETS.

Step 1: Locate the stand-alone file by inserting the device model number
    a. visit http://catalog.update.microsoft.com/v7/site/Home.aspx
in the search box, enter the model number of the perimeter search of the driver.
    c. download the right driver for your windows and install it successfully on all computers.

Note: If there is no available stand-alone file, I'm afraid you'll have to visit update of Windows on all computers and the installation of the update done or contact the device manufacturer to obtain the driver.

BCA works well, downloads support, creates what looks like appropriate on the USB installation files, and then create a MS-DOS (FAT32) partition on a hard disk that is dedicated in an internal Bay. Create a USB key modifying the Info.plist file does not work? There is a reason that it's missing at first, meaning that your specific model, with an integrated optical drive, needs to use a physical DVD. You can burn a DVD from ISO?

  • DV6 - 6153cl drivers for biometric devices missing after system restore

    Hello

I have a HP Pavilion dv6 - 6153cl Entertainment PC with Windows 7. I used the fingerprint reader, since I have my laptop. The scanner has stopped working.

Background: two weeks ago, I downloaded the latest version of Norton 360 (Version 21.1.1.7), which caused my laptop to keep crashing every few hours. After much time consulting technical support, I did a system restore to a few days before the new version download then downloaded the version of Norton 360 and active. This solves the problem of crash.

Problem: After restoring the system, my fingerprint reader no longer works. By control panel > all Control Panel items > biometric devices, "Windows do not have the biometric devices on this computer. You will need to attach your device or install device drivers. "Can someone tell me what are the correct drivers that I need and where to find them?

    Thanks for your help!

    Hello

First of all, download and reinstall the driver Validity Sensor on the following link.

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp55001-55500/sp55109.exe

    Once completed, restart the laptop.

If it still not works, you may also need to reinstall HP SimplePass on the link below.

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp54501-55000/sp54680.exe

Yet, when it has installed, restart the laptop.

I'm on the latest version of the driver for my hardware. Now, I am unable to use my fingerprint as my password.

  • How to fix this error: "MPT Boot ROM - no device found!"

Ideas: my IBM Intellistation Z Pro 6221 boot from IDE hard drive. Error message "MPT Boot ROM - no deices found!" error message is displayed. Machine will start from a USCSI drive when it is connected. IDE drive is then recognized as drive D: to hard drive which does not physically OK. Normal order of BIOS. While that started from the drive SCSI Windows detects the IDE drive and after a reboot, I get a message that says that the ROM of the MPT Boot has been installed successfully. But when I disconnect the SCSI disk and then try to boot from the IDE, I again get the error "MPT Boot ROM - no device found!"

Does anyone have a solution that will solve this problem and get the IDE drive to boot normally again?

    • You have problems with programs
    • Error messages
    • Recent changes to your computer
    • What you have already tried to solve the problem

    Macz51,
Thanks for posting on the Microsoft answers Forum.  The ROM of the MPT Boot part of the SCSI controller.  So, when you disconnect the SCSI drive, you will get the error message.  If the SCSI controller is a card, you can remove it, and then check your BIOS settings to start the command and make sure that the BIOS sees your IDE drive.  If you have problems with the hardware being not recognized before it starts with Windows, then you will need to contact your OEM for support. • no bootable devices found

Hi guys, I have a laptop malfunction on the no bootable devices found. I use acer 3810 t sucks. It was working just fine last night, but it is a malfunction of this morning.

Looks like you have verified that the hard drive is dead!

You can buy a new hard drive in a local store, PC or even online, like Amazon, among others. Opt for a similar or greater size than i ' existing. The size is noted in the UK, for example, 250GB, 500GB etc.

Hard drive bracket is very simple as you may have noticed. You need to remove the caddy with the screw on the side of the old hard drive. Take the old, enters the new then put back inside your laptop. Once mounted, you need to reinstall WIndows from your recovery disks. If you do neither, they may be available for purchase from the Acer support for your region.

Once completed, you will need to install Windows, your Anti virus updates and other programs, then all the documents you have saved.

  • No device found Boot

    Acer laptop: v3 - 551 G - X 419

    Hello

Problems with the bios. Disabled the power button one night and now there are no bootable devices found. At the start of tours on the property, then a screen indicating there are no bootable devices found and invites me to press "ok". Which is followed by the screen boot manager with a boot option menu that I give no option to start. Now, I entered the bios and restored by default and messed around with the start controls. After playing with the battery in and out and pressing the power button to see if something could be reset. I thought that the motherboard did not read the hard disk, but on the homepage of the bios, I see the model number of the hard drive. Maybe a fluke I thought so I grabbed one of my hard disks and bios selected upward, but always was'nt able to boot into it. My next plan was to see if I could start a flash drive or external cd player, Showed up in the bios but not start and do not show up in the start menu. I decided to go and pulled the cmos battery in the system and reset the old way and still nothing. I can't get a boot cd and flash the bios or flash, I'm quite the situation here . It's not under warranty.

    Thank you for your time.

New systems designed for Windows 8 use UEFI BIOS instead of the old BIOS Legacy. Your other HARD drive probably wasn't UEFI boot configuration no matter what version of Windows until Windows 8 does support UEFI. You must change your settings bios for Legacy BIOS to boot a usb or cd and based on the rest of what you said your HARD disk is probably damaged. So I suggest to test or with a surface HDD scan tool or if you know what type of HARD drive, this is the manufacturer test tool e.g. (Western Digital Safe Guard) or start a windows install disc and go to repair from the command prompt type chkdsk/r % DriveLetter %:.

Install the appropriate drivers for your particular machine at your special machinery manufacturer (or the manufacturer of the bluetooth device) and make sure that there is no physical switch (or enter the BIOS) accidentally disabled for bluetooth.
