  • Mac Pro 4.1 - No. USB or bluetooth after El Capitan 10.11.3 updated

I have an early 2009 Mac Pro 4.1 (2 x 2.93 GHz, 16 GB ram, 5870 1 GB GPU).  After the upgrade to 10.11.3, the bluetooth is indicating is not available and not picked upward by looking at system information.

In addition, the USB ports do not work.  They will power the led lights on an external USB switch, but the keyboard and the wired mouse will not work (red under the mouse does not appear).  I tried the front and rear USB ports and none works.

I can't get USB working on card PCI-E card USB3 I installed.  And this ONLY works if I start the computer and after loading in OSX, THEN connect the keyboard and mouse in.  If I have the keyboard and mouse connected at startup, it does not on the PCI-E USB port.

I tried to turn off, turn the power to the cord, out of RAM and resetting, out all readers and back, leaving the computer and unplugged for an hour, then restart.  This does not solve the problem.

I booted the Mac using OS x 10.9 Mavericks and everything works fine, the bluetooth functions properly and all the USB ports work fine.

So I have the feeling that this is a problem with the 10.11.3 patch.  The system was fine in 10.11.2.

Could someone please suggest how I can troubleshoot and resolve this problem so that I can use several USB ports and reconnect the bluetooth devices.

    Thank you!

  • Satellite T110 - Defective Bluetooth after waking from sleep

SATELLITE T110 Bluetooth will fail after awakening from sleep.
The icon will be flick between white and green as he seeks my device (phone).

I ve reduced the problem to the laptop, because if I try to pair again phone to the laptop it fails. It's almost like he has a block?

Operate as planned, then I have to charge fully.
    Bluetooth connects then as planned.

It only became a problem because I installed the latest BIOS v 2.40
    I use the 64-bit Version.

When the problem occurs I run the Bluetooth Diagnostics and it comes back as fine no error reported. It s a pain now because I use the laptop mode "sleep" more off.

This is due to the new update of the bios.

Can you after waking from sleep just restart BT stack and try to connect to the mobile phone?
You mean that with the old version of the BIOS, everything was OK?

Last question: what was the reason for the update of the BIOS? I hope not the fact you want to have the latest version.

  • Missing Bluetooth after upgrade to Windows 10

I got a Yoga 2 13. I just finished the upgrade of 8.1 for Windows 10. After the upgrade I can't see the possibility to connect bluetooth devices, nor what I see the driver Bluetooth listed in Device Manager. I downloaded and installed the drivers for Bluetooth 10 Windows from the support site (2cyb01af.exe), but it still does not come back.

I see a "unknown USB device (device descriptor failed) driver in the Device Manager." Show properties

Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)

A request for the USB device descriptor has failed.

I suspect this is the driver for the bluetooth, but I'm not sure. If someone did an upgrade and had this problem.

    Hello Rick

Yes, I've tried both and the Intel was one that worked.

I was able to solve the problem. I had to do a full reboot, not only the windows restart. I finished the startup in the BIOS, the Bluetooth was back to check if there was something there that has been disabled, and when I went back to windows.

    Thank you

  • No Bluetooth after upgrade to 8.1 Windows - model 1104TX (ENVY m6)

    Hello

My system is HP Envy m6 1104tx. It came with Windows 8 (64-bit) preinstalled and everything was going well until I chose to upgrade to 8.1 Windows.

After checking with CompMgmt.msc, I found that I had 3290 RaLink 802.11 Wi - Fi adapter. Just below NICs, I have "Other devices" and under "Bluetooth Controller" with a yellow exclamation mark on the subject. I tried to update the drivers, but it says "Windows failed to install the controller bluetooth"(pas pu trouver pilote logiciel pour votre périphérique). "»

I've updated almost all possible device drivers, but this 'Bluetooth controller' still shows a yellow exclamation mark on it.

Also in CompMgmt.msc I can't find "Bluetooth" or "Bluetooth Module" but on the contrary, there is a 'profiles Bluetooth device' and inside this 'Bluetooth Interface Driver profile '. I tried to update, but the result was still once, as mentioned above.

So, how to solve this? How to make implementing Bluetooth on my m6 desire?

PS And yes I ran Technical Assistance from HP, but it says everything is fine. And in reality it is not, Bluetooth does not.

    RENJ

    Thanks Makachaka,

I really appreciate your time and your help. However your suggestion came a little too late.

I had already solved my problem with Bluetooth using the instructions contained in the following web page:

    http://answers.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/Forum/windows8_1-hardware/Bluetooth-systemthreadexceptionnothandled-blue/e9e410d4-ef73-40C2-9e4e-b05c5d604c6c?LC=2057&auth=1

The gap only I took while troubleshooting from the procedure described in the page Microsoft above was that I didn't not apply the patch from Intel Bluetooth. The rest was exactly as described. Problem solved for me.

@Makachaka: thanks and have a great year!

  • Help with Bluetooth after installing new HARD drive

The hard drive failed on my laptop HP Pavilion dm4 3099se Beats Edition son. I replaced the hard drive, installed and activated Windows 7 64 bit (using the key supplied with the notebook windows). I used an oem Win7 disc, not the recovery disk.  Then I installed the drivers needed to make it work again. But I can't get the Bluetooth works, even if the wifi works. Use the Intel ProSet Wifi driver but the Intel ProSet Bluetooth driver returns an error when it is installed... and Bluetooth does not appear in Device Manager.

I installed the ProSet software also. It is also an error "can not properly installed. I have not installed the HP software (which I hope it is not necessary).

Is there than a bluetooth radios category in Device Manager?

If so, then the generic microsoft drivers have been installed.

Otherwise, the device is not enabled and is not being picked up by Windows.

If you have not installed the software of HP connection manager, and who controlled the bluetooth when you reinstalled the hard drive, you need to install this software, turn on the BT using this software and go from there.

On some HP business notebooks computers where the wizard wireless HP (predecessor to the HP Connection Manager software) controlling the wireless and bluetooth at the same time and no device showing in Windows when I reinstalled the operating system, which has happened to me.

After installing the Wireless Assistant software, the two aircraft were then visible and I was able to install the drivers.

  • T440s lost Bluetooth after having installed the latest updated via the Lenovo system update

Hi everyone, my setup - Windows 8.1, Intel Dual Band Wireless AC 7260 with Bluetooth built-in.

After the installation of the last packet of Intel's Bluetooth (via the Lenovo system update), I lost Bluetooth constantly.

-J' I tried to uninstall the update of the driver, nothing has changed.

-J' tried to restore through Windows Restore Point (I did a fresh restore point before you install these updates,) without success...

    I noticed that:

-When this happened, the fingerprint reader to are featured strange - there is no if light (with green light) initially, Windows, and Windows was asking me a password instead of the fingerprint.

-In the Device Manager. Bluetooth category disappeared (I was there before the upgrade - for sure.). but I saw a new unrecognized device whose name ends with something like "(de l'énumération n'a pas pu) '-this could probably be the Bluetooth card."

-L' tray for Bluetooth icon disappeared.

-The Bluetooth system option submenu and its devices in the Windows settings disappeared (and it was here before).

-Looking for Bluetooth in Windows 8.1 returned property (with Win + W hotkey) framework "set up Bluetooth devices" or similar, but when I clicked it, it couldn't access this option - just took me to the main configuration screen.

I had to do a restore of the system using Linux (thankfully made a full HD image backup of the HDD and SSD using Clonezilla readers - that was the only way to fix this-instead of complete reinstallation of Windows).

The only driver that works for me is the Intel version 3.1.1307.364 issued on August 1, 2013.

    -Anyone else had similar problems?

Apart from this, the Bluetooth disconnects always happen: see http://forums.lenovo.com/t5/T400-T500-and-newer-T-series/T440s-major-WiFi-and-Bluetooth-instability/...

Can someone give me some advice please?

    I need help with this.

I found a solution to this problem.

Apparently, installing bluetooth driver through update system does not install it properly.

So I downloaded the latest driver of Lenovo driver download page, and instead run autorun.exe, I sailed to 64-bit dir and then run the installation program.

    Everything works fine now.

  • HP ENVY 15-Q002LA: Bluetooth after update

Less than a month ago, I bought a HP Envy 15-q002la. With no time for the base after buying configuration, I did my best these days, 30 minutes or 1 hour each time: install print drivers, customization, install antivirus programs, it leaves to update several major HP issues that aren't minor problems to avoid.
Yesterday, as soon as I turned it on, I paired this laptop via Bluetooth with my mobile phone Sony Z1 and with my Sony portable stereo. All was successful in both cases.
Immediately after this, I let the system update 2 heavy and important archives. These updates were suggested by HP Support Assistant. 270 MB is the size of one of them, 175 MB of it.
Then, after a normal restart, the Bluetooth option disappeared. No popup, no same wall switch options related to the Bluetooth wireless connection in Win 8 PC Configuration.
The original Bluetooth driver in Device Manager is gone. How can a thing like that?

For your information. I've had this laptop with the Windows 8.1 operating system / 64-bit.
How HP Customer Support can help me with this problem?

Any other info on the hardware, software or drivers, let me know.

  • Satellite C850D-11 q - No. Bluetooth after upgrade Windows 10

    Hello
Just upgraded to win 10... nothing about Bluetooth in Device Manager... this model not have these abilities or are malfunctioning... tia

    Hello

In most cases, BT does not work due to lack of BT software.
The point is that most laptops use a module for WLan and BT.
This combo module WLan/BT requires additional driver filter...

According to your WLan / module BT, you will need to install the filter for the BT driver package.
In most cases the 8 Win / filter package 8.1 Bluetooth driver should work under Win 10...

But you have to watch for the manufacturer of modules... There are different modules like Atheros, Intel or Realtek

    Hello

From my point of view it s not matter if you use the SSD or HARD disk drive.
This should not affect the functionality of BT.

I think that its driver / software problem and, therefore, you should check this first
Satellite Pro C870-1FL was equipped with a Realtek WLan / BT combo card.

The driver BT / install the software according to the system you are using.
So in the case of Windows 7, you need to install the package of added Value Toshiba, Realtek WLan driver, packet filter for the driver Realtek BT and BT Toshiba stack.

In the case of win 8 you must install the driver of Toshiba system and the Realtek Bluetooth driver Package filter

    Please check the two options
