no bootable devices found

Hi guys, I have a laptop malfunction on the no bootable devices found. I use acer 3810 t sucks. It was working just fine last night, but it is a malfunction of this morning.

Looks like you have verified that the hard drive is dead!

You can buy a new hard drive in a local store, PC or even online, like Amazon, among others. Opt for a similar or greater size than i ' existing. The size is noted in the UK, for example, 250GB, 500GB etc.

Hard drive bracket is very simple as you may have noticed. You need to remove the caddy with the screw on the side of the old hard drive. Take the old, enters the new then put back inside your laptop. Once mounted, you need to reinstall WIndows from your recovery disks. If you do neither, they may be available for purchase from the Acer support for your region.

Once completed, you will need to install Windows, your Anti virus updates and other programs, then all the documents you have saved.

  • 7140 "no bootable device not found" after BIOS update

Just ran the update of the BIOS on my 7140 and my system does not start.  When starting, it immediately presents "no bootable device found" and some options to retry/configuration/diag.  I ran diagnostics and 'Hard Drive 0-0-0' line tests OK.

I'm guessing that the Secure Boot is messed up.  Can someone tell me what should be the default settings?  Is there a personal touch and should be set?

My tablet is running I'll share what I did in case others get hit by him.  I went into the BIOS and verified Secure Boot and it's been activated, although apparently it was not activated "actually".  I disabled and enabled the boot Rom Legacy and rebooted.  The machine is in how recovery mode I could have deciphered the entire disk (not secure boot manufacturing necessary), but I decided to not go down that road right now.  (FYI - if you have registered your device with your real account, your decryption key can be found there.)  I know people have privacy on this matter, but it could really help in a pinch like that).

I closed this and went back into the BIOS setup.  I unchecked Legacy ROM and then turned back on Secure Boot.  Apply, exit, restart.  Started upward and works.  I have several other concerns since the updates that came out yesterday, but I'm going to start new threads for those.

  • No device found Boot

    Acer laptop: v3 - 551 G - X 419

    Hello

Problems with the bios. Disabled the power button one night and now there are no bootable devices found. At the start of tours on the property, then a screen indicating there are no bootable devices found and invites me to press "ok". Which is followed by the screen boot manager with a boot option menu that I give no option to start. Now, I entered the bios and restored by default and messed around with the start controls. After playing with the battery in and out and pressing the power button to see if something could be reset. I thought that the motherboard did not read the hard disk, but on the homepage of the bios, I see the model number of the hard drive. Maybe a fluke I thought so I grabbed one of my hard disks and bios selected upward, but always was'nt able to boot into it. My next plan was to see if I could start a flash drive or external cd player, Showed up in the bios but not start and do not show up in the start menu. I decided to go and pulled the cmos battery in the system and reset the old way and still nothing. I can't get a boot cd and flash the bios or flash, I'm quite the situation here . It's not under warranty.

    Thank you for your time.

New systems designed for Windows 8 use UEFI BIOS instead of the old BIOS Legacy. Your other HARD drive probably wasn't UEFI boot configuration no matter what version of Windows until Windows 8 does support UEFI. You must change your settings bios for Legacy BIOS to boot a usb or cd and based on the rest of what you said your HARD disk is probably damaged. So I suggest to test or with a surface HDD scan tool or if you know what type of HARD drive, this is the manufacturer test tool e.g. (Western Digital Safe Guard) or start a windows install disc and go to repair from the command prompt type chkdsk/r % DriveLetter %:.

    Hello

    Try the following.

First, use another PC to create a bootable Windows 10 DVD or a USB Flash drive via the following link.  Under the section "Imperative to create a cable USB, DVD or ISO", download the media creation tool.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/Windows10

Once you have it, run the tool, select 'Create the installation media for another PC', then select the language edition of Windows 10 and 64-bit.

Follow the rest of the guests to create this and then click on finish when done.

Insert the Installation of Windows 10 support and stop the laptop by pressing the power button for 10 seconds.

Click next to the ESC key as soon as you press the power button to enter the Boot Menu, and then select the Boot Options Menu ( f9 ).

Use the arrow keys to highlight the CDROM (uefi) or USB Flash Driver (uefi) option, according to which typre of media you created, then click on enter – if you are prompted to "Press any key to continue...". "- make.

Start on the Menu of Boot Options Advanced - see Option 5 on the link below for more information on access to this.

    http://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/2294-advanced-startup-options-boot-Windows-10-a.html#Option5

  • no bootable device detected-

I installed winxp pro in a partition boot camp boot fine in boot camp and is fully operational. I then installed VM Fusion 2.0. When fusion displays the virtual machine library window, it shows the boot camp partition.

I then select the and he starts trying to initialize windows only to stop and give me the message "no boot device found" but it is there and it is bootable as I already started it in boot camp. I've tried everything.

    Can someone please help?

For all those reading this thread, it was a partition of Boot Camp VM Fusion 1.x that once upgraded to Fusion 2 would be start is longer and the solution took the existing Boot Camp partition Virtual Machine thus allowing the merger to recreate.  He then started and upgraded VMware Tools and Windows wanted to be reactivated within 3 days as well.

  • Try to install Windows 7 via USB, El Capitan, Macbook Pro 2011 but get this error "No. BOOTABLE DEVICE - INSERT BOOT DISK AND press ANY KEY ' when bootcamp restart my macbook to begin the installation. Any ideas?

I am trying to install Windows 7 via USB, (El Capitan, Macbook Pro - early 2011), but this mistake "No. BOOTABLE DEVICE - INSERT BOOT DISK AND press ANY KEY ' when bootcamp restart my macbook to begin the installation. Any ideas?

You cannot use a USB on Mac 2011 Installer. Please burn the ISO on a physical DVD Windows (a DVD - R Carbon SL on the rate of burning slower is better) and use it to install Windows. The file Info.plist changes only allowing the creation of USB, but does not fully support a USB Installation.

    Help!

    Hello

This error message appears because the BIOS didn't not find a bootable device containing an operating system.

What of the HARD drive? Is it recognized by the BIOS?
Check in the BIOS settings; Press ESC and F1 to access the BIOS.
There, you should check if the HARD drive (all details of the HARD drive should appear) is recognized.
If this isn't the case, then it means that your HARD drive is dead and so you cannot boot from the HARD drive.

  • BCA install Win 10 since El Capitan "no boot device found". »

I ran a Boot Camp for Windows 10 installation process using this configuration:

    MacPro3, 1

    El Capitan 10.11.2.

    Win10_1511_English_x64.

    Boot Camp Assistant 6.0.0

I used a flash drive USB 2 for the installation disc.

I modified the plist BCA as shown here:

    http://Tsentas.NET/create-a-Windows-7-or-later-version-install-disk-missing-on-e l-capitan.

BCA works well, downloads support, creates what looks like appropriate on the USB installation files, and then create a MS-DOS (FAT32) partition on a hard disk that is dedicated in an internal Bay. At this point, it seems to be trying to boot from a Windows installation process and rise black screen "no boot device found... etc."

    Any idea whats up?

    Thank you, Bruce T

Create a USB key modifying the Info.plist file does not work? There is a reason that it's missing at first, meaning that your specific model, with an integrated optical drive, needs to use a physical DVD. You can burn a DVD from ISO?

Be aware that a 2008 MP has no W10 driver supported by Apple. A list of Macs Apple officially support it to use 10 Windows on your Mac with Boot Camp - Apple Support .

  • How to fix this error: "MPT Boot ROM - no device found!"

Ideas: my IBM Intellistation Z Pro 6221 boot from IDE hard drive. Error message "MPT Boot ROM - no deices found!" error message is displayed. Machine will start from a USCSI drive when it is connected. IDE drive is then recognized as drive D: to hard drive which does not physically OK. Normal order of BIOS. While that started from the drive SCSI Windows detects the IDE drive and after a reboot, I get a message that says that the ROM of the MPT Boot has been installed successfully. But when I disconnect the SCSI disk and then try to boot from the IDE, I again get the error "MPT Boot ROM - no device found!"

Does anyone have a solution that will solve this problem and get the IDE drive to boot normally again?

    • You have problems with programs
    • Error messages
    • Recent changes to your computer
    • What you have already tried to solve the problem

Remember - this is a public forum so never post private information such as numbers of mail or telephone!

    Macz51,
Thanks for posting on the Microsoft answers Forum.  The ROM of the MPT Boot part of the SCSI controller.  So, when you disconnect the SCSI drive, you will get the error message.  If the SCSI controller is a card, you can remove it, and then check your BIOS settings to start the command and make sure that the BIOS sees your IDE drive.  If you have problems with the hardware being not recognized before it starts with Windows, then you will need to contact your OEM for support. • G725: No bootable image found, mobile will be stopped

    Hello

If I boot my laptop (G725) after that I checked my fingerprints, I get the following message:

"No bootable image found, notebook will be stop.

The laptop stops. I thought that my hard drive MBR must be corrupted or failure of the entire system at all.

But when I press [Esc] during bios and select this option to "boot the OS partition" I wonder to get fingerprint as usual. This will bring me again to the initial menu that comes when you press [Esc], but in a higher resolution. If I select 'boot from the partition of the OS' once again, windows starts normally. (It can be reproduced and the current way, I work with my laptop)

(Before above mentioned conduct took place there was a start, where the laptop just showed a blackscreen after the HP BIOS logo screen do nothing for minutes.) Of the hardshutdown system. The next work start, except the stuff of built-in security that takes fingerprints from the BIOS authentication and automatically enters the credentials in windows did not work - I had to manually enter my windows password, fingerprint authentication was not available.

It was occuing only once. Since then, fingerprint authentication works fine, both the bios and windows-level)

Is this some kind of BIOS or secure boot bug? What should I do?

Hello! The first thing you need to do is to remove all BIOS passwords

Then try to start Windows and sign with your password

Then, remove the sign of fingerprint reader news and then re-create but not for BIOS, just for Windows

    Good luck!

Install the appropriate drivers for your particular machine at your special machinery manufacturer (or the manufacturer of the bluetooth device) and make sure that there is no physical switch (or enter the BIOS) accidentally disabled for bluetooth.
