No connection is available (Win 7)

Hey there.

I just built this computer the other day.

Win 7 Home Premium Edition.

Today, I tried to connect to the network here in the House.

No luck. When I try to connect it just says 'not connected - no connections are available.

I don't know what to do. The card is good, the cable is good. There are three other computers connected to the small business network and they all work perfectly.

What can I do?

In the command prompt when I try to ipconfig/release it just tells me that I'm not anythign because the media are not connected.

Help, please.

  • Not connected. No connection is available

Product name: HP Pavilion g4-2002tx Notebook PC

Operating system: Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

My wireless internet was woring fine until recently when the connection with my home internet modem became intermittent.  There will be either a computer icon with a red x icon shown that says "connected. No connection is available' or white bars entirely filled with a yellow caution icon sign indicating 'A limited Internet access', so I couldn't connect to the Internet more.

I believe that the problem lies not in the modem because other devices in my house as smartphones or other mobile phones were able to communicate with the modem when laptop problem has occurred.

I have tried to restart the laptop several times and still perform a restore of the system until it has Internet access, but I only have access to the internet for a short period (not more than an hour) until the problem mentioned above occurs again and all the vicious circle continues.

For now, the internet connection seems to work very well once again, but I don't know when the Wi - Fi connection will goes haywire once again. Help, please.

    Hello

Please find the link given below might help you solve your problem.

I got a new laptop from work and have connected a couple of times on our network.  Now, he does not connect through the wireless network connection.  He said that the connections are available, but there is no connection available more in the list.  If you have to manage wireless networks, it is in the list... but you can not log in via this page.  Any help would be grateful.

    Thank you!

    Hello

    1. what operating system you are using?

    2. how many computers is connected to the network?

    3 - is a domain network?

    4. What is the exact error code or error message you received?

5 have have there been recent changes made on the computer before the show?

Follow the steps mentioned below and check if that helps.

    Method 1: Troubleshooting run Network.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/using-the-network-troubleshooter-in-Windows-7

Method 2: Wi - Fi and in Windows network connection issues.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/help/wired-and-wireless-network-connection-problems-in-Windows

If you cannot connect to a network, it could be a problem with your network adapter. You can try to use the network adapter troubleshooting utility to automatically find and fix some common problems.

How can I troubleshoot network card?

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/how-do-I-fix-network-adapter-problems

Method 3: Disable the security software and check.

You can also temporarily disable the security software and check if the problem persists. Be sure to enable this security software on the computer after checking.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/turn-Windows-Firewall-on-or-off

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/disable-antivirus-software

If disabling the security software solves the problem, then contact the manufacturer of the specific security software to fix the problem.

Important note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

  • Remote Assistance error: "Easy connect, not available.

Original title: easy Remote Assistance connect will not work

I have 2 systems of windows 7 on a local network using Qwest PK5000 modem-router.  Both systems are connected via the home network and share files between them very well and there is only 1 active network.

If I run the MSRA command on the 64-bit computer and select easily connect using the option "help somebody", the system displays the security code for the other system to use or "invite".

On the 32-bit machine when I try either options it goes to the "easy connect, not available.  Network Diagnostics has found no problem, but if I try to access the Internet connectivity evaluation tool I can't in the tool.  It says at the bottom "IE6 is required" and nothing happens.   So I don't know if the PK5000 was the Peer Name Resolution Protocol on it or not.  Qwest or Actiontec will not respond to the request.  I guess it's OK if the 64, but the machine would not immediately come with the password to use on the other machine.  The command ipconfig/all look the same on both machines. Furthermore, both systems are (Inspiron 580) and DELL (XPS 420).

Please give me more advice on this problem.

    Problem solved!

Thanks for the advice - we now have things market by taking a chance and turning off the firewall

    * re-installed drivers

  • No internet connection is available

Okay, I currently have windows 7 on desktop with an Ethernet cable. It says "No internet connections are available". I have checked under device manager and it says there is an error with the network adapter decides. I've tried to uninstall, reinstall, everything really and It didn't change anything. I decided I may not even have them on my computer, so I was wondering, where do I install the drivers and which ones? I can send pictures if you need me to do that, thanks and please help.

    Edit

    Hello kobelockwood,

Thank you for contacting Microsoft Community. We understand that you are facing problems while trying to connect to Ethernet. As you said, it is likely that your system does not have the appropriate driver or driver Ethernet itself may be corrupt.

The best way to solve the problem is to re - install manually the driver appropriate for the system.  To check the Ethernet driver you need, go to Device Manager and find the device Ethernet under 'network adapters '. It should be something like this:

Download the driver from the manufacturer's website and try to connect to Ethernet. Let us know for further details.

    Hope this helps,

  • Cable connection - error message - no connection is available

    Dear Experts,

I need your help and advise on a problem that I am facing.

    OS - Windows 7 Ultimate - 64-bit

    Wired (LAN)

I am connected to the internet - I can navigate. However, when I click on network icon, I get the message "no connection is available" (see image above). I checked the Device Manager - it lists the network adapter and does not indicate a problem.

The Network and Sharing Center indicates that I am not connected. When I click on 'Connect to a network', I get the error that no connection is available.

The connection to the Local network is enabled and shows that I'm connected (does not display the Red 'X'). I tried disabling and enabling the LAN. It still does not work.

    I checked for Services:

    • Network location awareness - its works very well. I tried this stopped and restarted.

I also tried to remove/uninstall the network driver then reinstalling the latest Intel driver (https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=18713&lang=eng&wapkw=(82578))

Please let me know if any of you have come across this situation. Please help me to get this resolved.

    Thank you

    Hello Victor,.

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community Forum. Thank you to provide detailed information about your question.

    1. You did it any significant hardware or change software on the computer before this problem?
    2. What is brand and model your computer?

I understand that you are able to browse the internet, but the State of the taskbar shows that you are not connected to the internet. The question may arise for various reasons, including if the wireless card settings are not configured correctly. So, I would suggest trying the following steps and check if the problem persists.

    Method 1:

Try to run the network troubleshooter utility in your Windows 7. To do this, follow the steps in the underlying link:

Using the troubleshooter from network in Windows 7

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-in/Windows7/using-the-network-troubleshooter-in-Windows-7

If the problem persists, go to method 2.

    Method 2:

    1. Go to Start, click all programs and open the Accessories.
    2. Right-click on command prompt in the list programs, and then select run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, click OK, or alternatively click on Yes.
    3. In the command prompt, type the following commands and press ENTER after each command:
net localgroup administrators localservice / add
net localgroup administrators networkservice / add
    4. Close the command prompt, and then restart the computer.

Check if the networks are now available.

Hope this information is useful. If the problem still persists, please post back for further assistance, we will be happy to help you.

  • Not connected. Connections are available. I am connected to the internet but, and all this shows is gray bars with the yellow connection star on them.

I am connected to the internet, but it is said in the toolbar not connected and connections are available. There is only 1 link and I'm connected to it. How can I change display green bars, instead of grey bars with a yellow star?

    As the title says.
It's weird, and I think that this is the reason why some of my programs connect properly?
Does anyone have a solution to fix this problem?

    Hi DamienDwyer,

    1. are you referring to the status of job internet bar?
    2 when the problem started?
    3. have you made changes on the computer recently?

  • Pavilion dv7-6b55dx: loss of internet connectivity wireless with Win 10 update

I have a Pavilion dv7-6b55dx notebook with Intel Centrino - N6150 wireless network card. I've recently updated to Win 7 to win 10 64-bit.  The first negative consequence is the deactivation of my wireless internet connection. The without wire/switch market stop on the keyboard is more worked as planned but simply tilted airplane mode on or off.  I followed HP troubleshooting for wireless connectivity problems associated with Windows 10 improvements, including the reinstall the NIC driver wireless, without any positive result.  It seems that 10 Windows does not recognize network N6150 map.

Anyone know if there is a fix for this problem (Microsoft? HP? Intel?) In the meantime, I came back to the Windows 7 operating system.  If there is no patch or another solution at this moment I may decide to go with a wireless USB adapter, but prefer not to do this, if possible.

I did not have a facility clean, but simply ran the standard upgrade ensuring once again I did it using a Wi - Fi and ethernet not.  It worked very well - fully operational wireless connectivity.  Thanks for pointing out the importance of having wireless enabled when you upgrade!
