  One reason might be that your iPhone has more space free storage to your iPad. (Assuming that the parameter storage to optimize is activated.) More storage, photos more will remain on your device at full resolution. In theoray at least.

  just an answer about the quality of the photos printed from my iPad mini.  They have been printing too dark) printed just the same images from my PC and they came out good. So I'm still looking for a solution to this problem. My printer is brand new. Epson expression 530 XP.  Anyone got any ideas on the problem. Sorry to be a bother.   The projects are not compatible between iOS iPhoto on the iPad and Photos for Mac.

  You can't even transfer all books of photos from iPhoto on a Mac to Photos for Mac, due to different themes.

  What you can try on your iPad, it's to save the book finished in PDF format.  I can try is more to do, because iPhoto is incompatible with the system that I have on my iPad, and the help of iPhoto does not describe how to save the PDF file. You are lucky to have a system that supports iPhoto.

  If you can save a preview of the book in PDF format, you can printing to Presto Photo or other printing service.

  Otherwise, download the pictures you used in your book to your Mac and recreate the book it in Photos.
