  I use Windows Vista for about 3 years now, it has been hurt on the first day.  However, it is the biggest problem I've ever known.

  My PC is currently the entire installation, which means that all the software, drivers and personal settings are applied to the way I would like it. But lately, I have had opportunities indicate that loggin, there was a long delay, after typing my password with the message: "preparing your desktop" displayed on the login screen (the PC was night shotdown, not having changed anything to the system), then I am connected to a desktop where I lost all my custom settings : wallpapers, plans, location of the updated table on the page icon, were all gone as if I start Windows for the first time, and every program I tried to run from there thought while they started upward for the first time.

  My office, I know, has completely disappeared.   How can I get it back?  Where at - it go?

  I am a school teacher and my student missions, etc. are in the files on the desktop.

  I'd appreciate any help you can give me.

• Cannot remove a menu column of my Windows XP Pro desktop display

  Wide blue stripe on the left side of the office. Nothing happens when I right click on it. Panel display did not help either. Also unloaded the NVidia drivers-all without success.   Windows 7 my monitor went down last night, it passed to the 2nd PC, still no good. No screen or menu. Monitor exchanged 2nd PC on the first PC and now the screen is rolled up, my Summit icons are now at the bottom of the screen and the taskbar are shifted upward about 1 inch, with a black bar below. On IE, the top right of the window which includes narrow it down and close buttons are now in the bottom right of the screen, or on the desktop. On the 2nd monitor menu buttons are now also inoperable but display works. Tried reloading drivers, ran Diagnostics, system restore 1 week back, ran all the updates. Any ideas?

  The problem has been resolved.  It seems that McAfee itself to include a Mozy backup which, in turn, updated the! marks on the icons.

  Enter McAfee has given an option to save files online.

  This has removed the! mark.

  I tried to remove the OOBE folder opm.db, but it did not help. I downloaded creative cloud again and tried to reinstall, but that did not help either one.

  It really looks like a virus or if not a serious problem with your screen/monitor adapter... Change your theme style old windows? And looks like the virus maybe is PC MightyMax. That's what WOT. If you want to do it manually, then download autoruns to see startup entries and search of mightymax and delete them and download procexp to view running processes. Maybe if you close it mightymax processes your desktop will fade.
