No drive detected the 0141 error code 2000-0141 msg error code

OK, we tried 'resettlement' the reader a couple of times but without success...

And we carn can't actually test the drive on another computer laptop, so we are a bit stuck as computer repair shops can be expensive, but I have no choice to take there eventually, but for now, I'm just gain some knowledge on the subject

My main concern, if the drive does not completely and permanently...

That's what all the operating system, it was on a dell inspiron 1525 with a preinstalled operating system "vista ultimate".

There is no backup of any type, I need some advice on this subject, because vista ultimate is pritty expensive and you really have to buy another copy of the operating system and install it on your new hard drive...

After all, you've already paid for it...

The laptops warranty has run out, so I guess there is no help from dell on this one there...

Thanks for all your replies Chester/uk

Ask their Dell recovery media.

You cannot use a Toshiba Recovery disk on a Dell computer.

And how could install Vista from a Windows 7 disc anyway!

You can try this IF you know what you are doing:

Or borrow a good Microsoft Vista DVD (not Dell, HP, etc).
A good Vista DVD contains all versions of Vista.
The product key determines which version of Vista is installed.

There are 2 disks of Vista: one for 32-bit operating system, and one for 64-bit operating system.

If install a cleaning is required with a good DVD of Vista (not HP, Dell recovery disks):

Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu

  • HP Pavilion a6645f no hard drive detected BIOHD-2 error

    1st off I'm no computer expert... so I really have no idea what I'm doing, but I've been looking online to the best of my ability and try everything that I have seen that I can understand how to solve the problems.

    First of all, I got the cursor flashing at the top left of a black screen, now I get the boot failure message, insert the disc... I did that dance together and nothing comes of it.  Error cannot be fixed with the scan that it allows me to do using the system disk, I did.

    I managed to access a screen that informed me that I have this error BIOHD-2, no hard drive not detected.

    It's a Seagate Barracuda HD 500 GB 7200.11

    I removed the Panel and went there... insured all caps were closed, tried a different SATA port... and when I go into the BIOS I can not get the comp to recognize any HD is connected... all read 0 MB.

    From my research I found information contradictory on this... some sound like its without a doubt a HD - sound problem is, some say it could be a motherboard problem?  Is - it necessarily one or the other based on the info I gave?  I read that I should try to connect the HD to another PC with a SATA port, but this will affect any PC I plug it somehow? Let's say another computer detects the HD when I look in the BIOS, I'll be able to extract all the files and programs from there? How will I know if the motherboard is the issue and not the HD? As ports have bad or the taking of the HD to the motherboard maybe? It is even probable, if yes?

    What if it is the HD, and I can install an old HD work? Is there a way I could try to extract anything from the Seagate which is in there now?  Unfortunately, the only things that I backed up on an external are some pictures and a few digital scrapbooking files.

    Still, I'm NOT a computer person so half may not even be English in computer science, but I hope I made sense. Laughing out loud

    Oh, and I'm no longer in warranty... HP told me when I called this past weekend when it happened. PC is about 3 or 4 years... don't remember not that December it was bought in.

    Thanks to all those who have actually tried to read and give a sense of my mess

    semperfibc,

    Thank you for your service.

    Several years ago, Seagate had a problem of firmware with the Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 drives. The reader would cease all features. Your beyond any warranty on this drive, and have no options that are financially reasonable.

    Now, you need to install a replacement drive.

    I hope you did your ONCE one Recovery DVD. Otherwise, you will need to buy them from HP.

    You can try an external SATA to USB box with this old disc, but there is no guarantee.

  • Troubleshooting installation printer driver on the computer. error message: "the arguments are invalid.

    I recently purchased a Brother (MFC-J265W) all-in-one printer that has a wireless capability.  I finished configuring wireless from the machine, however when I tried to install the printer drivers by using the CD-ROM, the installation failed because an error message indicates that "arguments are invalid".  I contacted brother customer service and they said it's a matter of Microsoft.

    A few details:

    I use Microsoft XP Home edition 32 bit SP2. It came installed on my laptop (Acer).

    I've uninstalled and reinstalled the driver several times, but I get the error message.

    I tried to download and install the latest driver from the Brother Web site, but I still get the error message.

    Specifications (in the manual and on the Windows website), the printer IS compatible with Windows XP.

    I would like to know how to solve this problem and also to understand what means the error message.

    Thank you

    When a hardware vendor says "It's a problem of Microsoft", without providing further details, you can be sure that you talk with a person of lazy tech support who wants to end the call and does not know how to solve your problem.

    I suggest that you completely uninstall some pieces of the printer driver and the associated software are already installed using the directions here: Article 1.  Then, disconnect your computer from the Internet, run your antivirus application disable (disable realtime protection) and install the printer as if you planned it or connected to the computer via the USB port, but do not connect the USB cable until you are prompted to do so.

    If you successfully installed printer as a USB printer, converting the wireless connection should be reasonably simple :-).

    If the above procedure doesn't help, especially if you get the same error, return brother support and request that escalating the issue until you find someone who can help you.

  • How to get windows xp re - install for installing the flash drive to the computer error portable "windows\system32\config\system".

    My Acer Aspire One has error "windows\system32\config\system" How can I get a copy of windows xp original usb? When I bought the

    computer laptop windows xp made & paid for. Product key is on the back. Can I download & reinstall using a flash drive?

    C:\Windows\system32\config\system is one of the files that make up the system registry.  Backups of the system registry files are kept in the 'C:\System Volume Information' folder under the system restore program.  Probably all you need to do is copy of registry backups in the Windows\system32\config folder.  A reinstall of windows may not be necessary.

    To do this is to start your machine from a free "Live Linux" thumb drive.  You can create a startup disk Ubuntu here:
       <>http://www.Ubuntu.com/download/Ubuntu/download >

    Follow the instructions of "Try me" and you should be able to copy backups of registry in place.  Windows has "Hidden doubling" the System Volume Information folder, but Linux doesn't seem to have any problems with it.  After starting from the Thumb Drive Linux, follow the instructions in the following article from part 2, step 6, using the graphical interface of Linux to copy files (right click copy, make a right click Paste) instead of the lines of command in the article.  With a little patience, you can restore the registry from a backup, and be back in operation

  • E120 Lenovo Edge - cannot detect the WAN of GOBI 2000 map

    Hi, I hope someone could help.  I bought an E120 that my country does not see the X120e

    I bought a card WWAN of GOBI 2000 dealer of Lenovo.  The card passes through the white list very well although it is not mentioned as one of the taken WWAN devices supported.

    I tried to install the 7xwc48ww.exe (drivers X120e and Edge 11 WAN) to see if it would work.  The GOBI loader installs, but the driver does not load, sense - in device - PORTS - Gobi charger Manager

    -In device - network adapters - No. Gobi WAN Card Manager

    I also tried the solution-http://curiouslynerdy.com/2009/05/qualcomm-gobi-wwan-card-on-windows-7/ , but still no joy.

    According to me, the X 120 and E120 are very similar, so I guess the Gobi WAN should be able to work.

    Can anyone suggest an alternative?

    Thank you very much!

    The E120 Edge is like the X121e GOBI 3000 or F5521gw will work. I tried a GOBI 2000 in my E120 with the same result as you.

  • How to detect the write-protected SD card

    Hi all

    I couldn't find the answer to my question, so I started a new thread.

    Problem: I would like to as for Labview (or directly TestStand) detect programmatically whether an SD card (secure digital) card has the "write protection" slider switch active.

    Is it possible somehow?

    PS: I also couldn't find this information anywhere in Windows 7 as well. I use LV 2011 SP1.

    PPS: For the moment I'm trying to create a file on the SD card and detect the clerical error, telling me whether or not the card is protected. But I would like a more elegant solution.

    Wow, it's already here for Labview: http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/epd/p/id/2048

  • Received error BSOD, ran Diagnostics, got the error code 2000-0146, tried to boot from different HARD drive, got the same stop error message

    So my friend gave me his computer dell laptop. The thing would boot normally for a few days until he would give me a blue screen of death with the "UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME" message constantly to not even upward. I ran the diagnostics and got the error code 2000-0146. What I've read, this code error means that the HARD drive is bad and must be replaced. So, to make sure that it's the hard drive, tried to boot from an old hard drive, I got around the installation by USB and windows gave me the same stop error message. May - so that means it's a motherboard problem?

    No, it isn't - unless the operating system was installed on this drive AND the system in question, that it won't work as a bootable drive.

    Unplug the system, remove or disconnect the battery and hold the power for 30 seconds approximately.  Turn on and re-run the diagnostic tests - if the same error appears again, the drive is bad.  Replace it.

  • VISA-1073807343 error code when using ResourceManager.GetLocalManager (). FindResources (filter) to detect the map of Pickering PXI

    I'm upgrading our test system for Windows 7 and NI Developer Suite 2012 DS2 in Windows XP and NI Developer Suite 2008 4th quarter. I have a problem with the help of VISA to detect devices PXI of Pickering. The problem occurs with the next .NET NationalInstruments.VisaNS.ResourceManager.GetLocalManager () call. FindResources (filter). I use the filter "PXI? * INSTR.

    To trouble shoot this problem I was using the VISA program FindResources.2008 c# example. I get the following error message when you apply the "PXI? * INSTR"filter. "Where not enough information or the device or resource is not present in the system. VISA-1073807343 (0xBFFF0011), ErrorResourceNotFound error code.

    Looking at other markets, I infer that VISA is not find the maps. I came across the same error message when I tried to launch the "GPIB? * INSTR"filter however I determined that there was a problem with the NOR-488 driver. 2. after having repaired the driver of the FindResources.2008 program would find the GPIB instruments using the "GPIB? * INSTR"filter.

    Max the Pickering cards appear in "Devices and Interfaces" and are listed as follows:
    12: PCI Device 'PXI12::9:INSTR '.
    15: PCI Device 'PXI13::13:INSTR '.

    In XP, the cards have been identified as:
    PXI12::9:InStr (Pickering 40-785-522)
    PXI13::13:InStr (Pickering 40-780-522)

    Also Max for each device, I am able to open the Panel to Test VISA.

    Any ideas why the VISA is not able to detect these cards?

    Thank you

    I thought about it. Apparently I needed Windows 7 to install the driver for cards of Pickering. I guess the "PXI VPP / VISA drivers" supplied by Pickering Test would take care of this.

    Until Windows has installed the driver of Pickering cards have been listed as a PCI device under 'other devices '. After installation, the cards have been listed under "devices PXI of NI-VISA.

    MAX the card now are listed as:

    12: Pickering 40-785-522 'PXI12::9:INSTR '.
    15: Pickering 40-780-522 'PXI13::13:INSTR '.

  • Error Code BIOHD-2 disk hard don't Test no drive detected

    I'm working on a HP Pavilion p6214y desktop PC.

    Just to list the specifications for any unusual problems:

    OS = Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

    MB = HP P/n: 513430-002 with AMD Athlon II x 4 620 Quad Core

    HD = Western Digital 1 TB

    Power = 350W LiteOn

    RAM = 8 G

    I get a blue screen that displays the 4 options and I chose F9 for diagnosis and he gave me a BIOHD-2 error code when checking the hard drive. He said that no hard drives have been detected. I read about it here and checked the bios and it does not find the hard drive. If most people say it's a bad hard drive. Although I put the drive in another computer and I can get the files from the hard drive and view them. It detects the drive in the bios. I also put a disc hard work of the other computer in this HP and it will not recognize a hard drive via the bios.  Given that the motherboard does not recognize HDD through sata ports I guess a mother board failure. I then put in a usb bootable Ubuntu 12.10 version. He turns round and will have access to the internet and everything. So, my little knowledge, means that the motherboard is still okay, right?  I don't think I read everywhere that the motherboard can go wrong only to sata ports. Anyone know if this is a possibility? Is there a chance that I could save the situation by buying a set of recovery disc for this model precise and just reinstall everything? I heard that they are usually $ 20, then it would be a good trial and error.

    In addition, it will allow recovery sometimes on the blue screen screen, but he won't do anything because the keyboard stops working at this time.

    Just another tech junkie.

    Hello:

    If you use ubuntu since the USB drive and not the hard drive, then Yes, there is a real possibility that the motherboard sata controller has failed.

    I think the motherboard of your model is notorious for failures of controller sata as evidenced in these numerous threads below.

    Hello

    19 code means there is a driver conflict such as two devices attempt to use the same resources.

    Please make all underneath the same if you've done it before as it's often the total of the process which
    solves
    the question.

    Try this - Panel - Device Manager - CD/DVD - double click on the device - driver tab.
    Click on update drivers (this will probably do nothing) - RIGHT click ON the drive - uninstall.
    RESTART this will refresh the default driver stack. Even if the reader does not appear to continue

    Some DVD players do not use the Windows default drivers so check with the manufacturer of system and
    manufacturer of device to see if there is a firmware or drivers for your drive if necessary.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    You have disk problems as the CD/DVD is actually 4 discs in 1 case (CD & DVD burning and)
    Playback of CD and DVD). So it is not unusual for parts from 1 or 2 to not work so that others do
    correctly.

    Did you follow the Troubleshooting Guide for the reader who still does not work? There are
    the entries in registry that the troubleshooter does not solve and those who "might" be the cause.

    Check with your Maker system and a device for the two possible firmware updates and
    the correct registry entries for your car.

    Here are the keys that I of course are those in question - for the subkeys of the CD/DVD drive
    as there will be other subkeys in these keys. Do not forget to ask specific keys involved as well as

    Hello

    I studied in the Microsoft Knowledge base, and it seems that this error is displayed because the driver returned error in her routine to the driver entry.
    I think that you need to uninstall the driver, and then click find the hardware changes to reinstall or upgrade the driver.

    You can do it in Device Manager. Otherwise, you can remove the drive in the Device Manager list and after restart of the new mobile operating system should recognize the drive again.
    After this procedure, you should test the device if it will work.
