No Firefox menu button on rooted android 7 "kindle fire 2 running jellybean

There is no button menu at the top right and no physical menu button on tablet. also, no Firefox option in settings of the Tablet, what happens?

As you have seen, Firefox for Android should adjust automatically depending on whether you have a physical button menu. On devices with a physical button (e.g. Galaxy S3) is not on the menu display button. On devices without physical (e.g. Nexus 4) button on the screen button is displayed.

Kindle Fire is not a supported device (even on the stock rom) so I guess there's an oddity on this device or your rom that is causing the problem.

I tried to find a way to force Firefox to display the button, even when he thinks he has a physical button available. My guess is that there should be a setting in all: config somewhere but I have been unable to find it or any reference to people trying to do the same thing online.

Unless someone else comes back with an answer, I would suggest trying one of the following values:

Try to force on screen menu buttons appear settings here: http://brandtkrueger.wordpress.com/2013/04/23/enable-on-screen-android-navigation-buttons-on-the-galaxy-s3-requires-root/

Try the 3rd party app menu on the screen. Like this: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=opotech.virtualbuttonbar & hl = in

I hope this helps.

  • My 8 Firefox Menu button does not work and neither does the right click in the window of firefox

It seems that all drop-down buttons in the browser, including the bookmarks dropdown in the toolbar and the main menu button (firefox), no longer work. This happened after that I upgraded to firefox 8. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling several times all also the removal of the preferences user and all that but that does not work. • menu button of Firefox missing on Android (4.4.2).

I realized that since an update, in order to access the menu/settings in Firefox on my phone, I now need to hold down the button integrated in the lower right of my phone. This button usually displays the applications stored in the cache for quick access.
I hope this helps anyone else with this problem.

Exactly the same applies also to the application of lastpass on my phone.

  • Cannot find Firefox Android menu button in Jelly Bean

I always keep Firefox for Android today to the latest version, but since I upgraded my Android to Jelly Bean 4.1.2 in a Samsung Galaxy S2, I now can't find the Menu for Firefox button anywhere. I'm trying to bookmark a page and your instructions say to press the Menu button then press the star, but if I have done this in the past to ICS, these buttons apparently do not exist for me now.

Your photos on the Web show a bar at the bottom of the screen with a Menu icon, and a pop-up menu that shows the Star bookmark as one of the options in the Menu. I don't have a Menu icon or all the other icons at the bottom of my screen. I have some physical of the phone bottom back right button under the screen and the Menu physical button < of the phone > bottom left under the screen, but when I press the < phone > Menu button while I have a page showing in FF, all I get is a long menu of choice starting with share , Find in Page, request the Site Desktop, tools, etc. There are no choices that give me a star to mark a page.

Please tell us how can I find the star to bookmark or change the settings to make it reappear.

    Thank you.

    Hold the presses!

Every time I pressed the Menu button of the phone in the bottom left, below the screen, a menu popped up which, as stated in my original post, started by hand. Assuming that held the top of the list, I have marched each time, but found no star for bookmarking, so I finally gave up and posted my question.

However, this time, when I tried once more to use the Menu button of the phone, there are other items on the menu drop-down including, in the top row, the star for bookmarking! Why the menu popped up differently this time, who knows, but I'm happy to finally have the answer.

    Problem solved.

When I looked at the new features of Firefox 4 the menu button has been one of the main reasons I upgraded. But, then it does not appear after installation. Can you please tell me why?

The new interface is the default on Windows Vista and Windows 7 only. To get it under Windows XP, you must hide the menu bar. Do, in the view menu, select Toolbars, then click on the entrance to the "Menu bar".

If you need to access the menus, you can press Alt or F10 to display temporarily.
