  Have you installed Qosmioplayer yet?

  I'm not 100% sure but I think WXP MCE is actually the Pro version. It is highly recommended to install all the stuff to Toshiba because of the feature, but if you have installed all the tools of Toshiba, it should work. As much as I know all Toshiba tools and utilities are not created only for WMCE but also for the home and professional version. But I found for WMCE you use TOSHIBA controls V3.19.2201 for MCE and home TOSHIBA controls V3.19.2401. Please check installed version on your device.

  I installed Win XP Pro SP2 on the newly formatted hard drive.

  The computer has a problem with a USB3.0 external drive (only USB3 device I have).  The initial problem was that it worked at a speed of USB3 on USB3 ports.  The computer saw it.  I have check the updates for the drivers of the MB manufacturer and found some.  I've updated to the latest.  The port USB3 does not see the device 3 but see USB2 devices.  If I connect the USB3 device on a USB2 port, the message to have a USB3 device in a USB2 port and everything will be better in a USB3 port is displayed.

  WIN XP Pro SP3 does support USB3?  Any suggestion on how to get this to work?

  I spoke with ASUS.  Their suggestion is to reload the operating system with the latest driver and BIOS installed.  They think that the installation order has made a difference.  I had to install the OS with the drivers that came with the MB and then find new drivers and install them.

  My system:

  ASUS MB - M4A88TD-V EVO/USB3

  Memory - DDR3 Kingsgton.  4 GB (2 x 2 GB)

  Hard drive - Western Digital 1 TB

  OS - installed from a cd of WIN XP PRO SP2.  Then installed the updates listed in Windows Update MS.

  I have the Qosmio G30 with HD-DVD player and it should read your HD files without problem. However a friend has registered some HD programs using his freesat box which he carved on a HD for me in the .ts format.

  I can read files, but if I try to play in the media library, WMP or Media Player Classic, the sound plays out of sync and sometimes I read stuttering or occasional polyhedral objects.

  I have a Qosmio G30 with Windows 7 32 bit - model G30 140 31F
  I bought an SSD intel 160 GB because of the promissed 250 MB/sg reading speed, because I need for video editing.
  I tried in Win Xp and now Windows 7 and it gets up to 120 MB/Sg

  I guess it s because of the drivers but I instal the drivers of storage can´t intel matrix any version of it. I tried a lot of them and with the compatibility mode too. It gives me an error saying I have not the minimum requirement.

  I have 4 GB of RAM and 2.0 Gzs centrino duo.
  I have install intel ssd toolbox and it does not recognize the intel SSD drive as a drive intel to improve the speed and other things.

  Please help me to get my speed in the car because it has to be and to have the TRIM option enable in order to have the life of my unit any longer.
  I also have the latest firmware in the drive.

  I put t know how you managed now installing Windows, but Qosmio G30 is equipped with a SATA150 interface... This means that you will never get the 250 MB/s read speed of the HARD drive. You will get a maximum speed of 150 MB/s theoretically, but in most cases it of also a little slower.

  How did you check the current speed?
  But 120 MB/s is a good speed. You should be satisfied and it s faster than each computer portable HARD drive. ;)

  The year last January or February my friend give me his newest Qosmio G30. I ve used a month. I've install my favorite games and I also used it to scan all my movies of course done.

  The laptop has been pre-installed with Vista, but we have also installed Windows XP Home edition on the second partition to check the performance in the two operating systems. WXP works perfectly and after some personal configurations that Vista was also good working operating system. I recorded a hours of movies, he coded and burned about 20 DVDs. So I hope you believe me that this laptop has been uninterrupted on the race. Encoding is not short and portable process runs almost 24 hours a day.

  After a month of use I didn't noticed anything negative and I can say that the Qosmio G30 is a fabulous laptop. Unfortunately a bit expensive for me.
  I don't know what you're doing with expensive products, but I always buy the extended warranty to avoid a risk of material damage. I don't want to pay for costly repairs. For my new LCD TV I paid about 130 euros for 2 years warranty. Now I don't what will happen over the next 4 years.

  Thus, everyone has their own way how to use laptop and to discuss the system collapse, lose the work during treatment, slowing my productivity is not so easy. Who knows what applications, freeware or shareware you stuff use? Who knows what make your system unstable?

  I use my Satellite 17 nearly 2 years of work and private things and I always use original preinstalled Vista. Why I don't have this kind of problems?

  One last thing: maybe I didn t understand you well, but what is your problem with the driver updated, updated BIOS or corrections?   What to say at the end? If possible, buy extended warranty to be on the safe side, try to have the right operating system, from time to time do the backup data, make sure that the laptop is placed correctly on the desktop to avoid overheating and I'm sure you'll use your Qosmio for a long time.
