No IP address obtained from WAN connection
OK, so this morning I reset my modem and the router, because my connection seems to slow down a little, and I started to have trouble staying connected to my ps4. But after that everything is back to the top, I tried to reconnect and had no IP address. I turned on my desktop, which is also wireless connected, and the same thing, not the internet, but he picked up the SSID of the router.
I have a Motorola Arris modem and a router Netgear WNDR4300v2, completely updated the firmware. The strangest part of this, is that any connection to the local network can always get on the net, as no matter what wireless connection that can pick up my 5 Ghz signal, IE. my phone, my tablet. But whatever it is in connection with the connection 2.4 Ghz cross the SSID and password of the router.
My IP address is set to set up automatically, and the door DNS and so on. I didn't even have a connection problem until I disconnected and reconnected the modem and the router.
I called Comcast, they said because I didn't buy their * beep * ty modem and router, they can't do anything, but my house is connected correctly. I called Netgear and the guy gave me the runaround because he was trained only to help people too computer illiterate to figure out how to even connect to the router. It does not however, check that all the lights on the router are well lit, and I don't notice anything wrong with the lights on my modem.
Ive has apparently solved the problem of activation of IPv6. But I tried a playstation 4, and my windows 10 running desktop. My 2.4 was already on channel 11. And what I meant by: alert the SSID I meant that I would put in the password, he would accept the password, but cannot obtain an IP address.
Excuse me move if this is the wrong place for this post, etc... Relatively new to ESXi and I don't know if I want to do is possible. I have a Server with 4 GB Supermicro intel NIC. I have one of these NICs connected to my internet provider (WAN) and the other for the HP ProCurve (LAN). I'm testing different solutions UTM/Firewall (pfSense, Sophos UTM, etc.) and would like to have at least two of them operational at the same time. The problem is that if it gets turned on first gets a WAN IP and take "control" of the WAN connection. Whatever it is started after the first primer fine but the WAN interface will not obtain an IP address and be down.
Some thoughts that I had were perhaps to be the gateway to the virtual computer to imitate the same MAC address, I found a few posts that seem to indicate that Comcast modem binds to the MAC for something like this the first connects to. Has begun research on this so I do not know how 'true' which is, or even if it is if it would help me get to where I want to be. I hope that he stays the way to achieve this using vnetworking ESXi.
In any case thank you for your time and I really appreciate any help you can provide!
Having your machines virtual theft same mac will be chaos in the networking and a damaged arp table. The problem here is that your internet service provider provide only one device with an IP address. How to solve this problem is to have a router/firewall VM that is the only internet available VM and then have the other virtual machines behind it and use the port forwarding.
Another solution is to use a loadbalancer as Kemp, where you can use expedition based URLS and so on. In short, do NOT spoof mac address, it will just make chaos.
We had intermittent problems with our internet connection at our condo. We have a cable modem (Motorola SB6121) which is connected to the ISP Comcast. I had an old Airport Extreme. What we have noticed is that wifi on our devices fan would totally sometimes disappear. I thought that this meant that EI was defective. Last week, I bought the last AE and hung. Our current problem is that the internet connection is de-energized intermittently. Wifi fan stays on on our devices (macbook, iPad, etc), but we have no connectivity. Then it suddenly works again. I replaced the ethernet cable from the modem to the AE. I also ran the wifi diagnostics and have a newspaper. I took one of the dropouts. It says failure of WAN connectivity. Unfortunately, I'm not at the condo. It's far, but I try to understand what I have to do when we go back. I called comcast, and the representative said that our downstream energy level is in the "yellow" zone, while our upstream in the ' red '. The two should be 'green' Sounds to me as if it was a signal problem. Anyone would be able to tell me where to look in the newspaper for power levels upstream and downstream as well as SNR wireless? Then I post them. I'd be happy. Thank you
I'll be happy to help you find the SNR values, but you should consider that the cable modem may be in this case. The 'power levels' Comcast refer to are with their service to the modem. I suggest you have them replace the modem to see if that solves the problem you are having with consistent connectivity.
As much as SNR measurement, see the following Tip of an airport users. Please post back your results. Note: You will need a Mac laptop for this and be present to take measures.
I just restored my iPad from a backup to iCloud and now my iMessage cannot connect. I try to connect and get an error message saying "a verified email address is required to connect to iMessage. I used my email address for iMessage and FaceTime for the last 4 years without problem, and all of a sudden it must be checked. When I click on the button to check my email, I'm directed to the page login Apple ID, and when I log in there is no place to check an e-mail address. I'm about to throw this iPad to the wall and be done with it.
my new LRT224 shows hickups in my regard.
It is connected to a fiber-optic 100Mbps of my ISP connection.
If I try to stream video, it creates every minute or so a second or two to break up the transmission.
Obviously, this breaks my video stream.
The newspaper of the device (see below), says 'WAN connection fell', which seems rather strange and unexpected for me.
If I don't stream video and data binding is almost at rest, these messages of 'WAN fell' intermittent continue.
If I take the LRT outside and connect my PC directly to the line of ISP (Yes, bad practice) I don't have these hickups, and fine video streams (to a few Mbps).
I have updated the firmware to v1.0.1.01 but that has not made a difference.
In fact, I have disabled the 2nd WAN port.
"Dual WAN', the 'activate the Network Service detection' is not marked in the config. By selecting "Connection failover" or "Load balance" shows no difference (no improvement).
No idea why the LRT report "WAN connection is dropped?
I need urgently a solution, but the issue seems beyond my skills...
(In the newspaper, I also see "violation of policy. I don't know why they happen: I have no rules of firewall on the LAN or WAN IP addresses...)
Thanks for any idea!
He is a legend of the newspaper of the device:

Thanks for your replies! I looked in the settings and methods to verify this behavior.
In the end, I decided that the behaviour of "drop the WAN" is not not to blame the LRT224: it seems really to be created by the ISP (the fiber modem): when I plug a small switch between the router and the modem 'abandonment WAN' messages have disappeared. Now I 'just' convince my ISP to do something...
cannot transfer my address book from my lapto to my new laptop Windows 7 vista. I'm using windows mail.
- In what application you are trying to transfer contacts on your Windows 7 operating system?
- You said "can not transfer my address book from my computer vista laptop to my new laptop Windows 7" how you try to transfer?
- You get the error message?
If the two computers are connected via a network, then you can transfer the contacts after export from Windows Mail.
Import, export, or change the format for contacts
If the computers are not on a network, then export contacts to a flash drive and then import them into the e-mail on the Windows 7 client.
I've been looking around and trying to understand this point, but I don't have a solution. The problem is to get the local IP addresses of all devices connected to the WiFi point of access/router connected to my BlackBerry. Similar to the way in J2SE nature you can get the IP using InetAddress.getLocalAddress () and then browse ip addresses and call InetAddress.getByAddress (ip) to check whether the device is accessible. Possible is something similar in BlackBerry or not?
No, the fault was entirely mine, I misread your message.
no idea how to do that, there is no access from low level of the network interface and the API is really limited.
I have my 2nd WAN connection on the RV082 setup to connect via the static IP address for a T1 connection. When I connect the cable, reports the newspaper...
«WAN connection is in place: 216.130.xxx.xxx...» "and 3 sec later reports"connection to the Wan is down. "
Can I connect a computer directly to the T1 with the same static IP settings, and it connects without problems.
I'm on firmware version v4.0.2.08 - tm.
Have you tried changing the WAN2 connection with the WAN 1 connection to see if it will stay connected? You use Load Balance?
Also for the connection that may not be not connected trying to bump on the MTU to perhaps 1492 and see if that makes a difference.

I just started using Thunderbird. I need to import my address book from my EarthLink webmail.
Thanks, Zenos. I can't find the options on my EarthLink Webmail page.
Is there a way to see the ip addresses of the devices connected via the airport? I can see the name of the devices but not what ip are they?
Thanks in advance.
Open AirPort Utility
Hold down the option on your Mac so you double-click on the image of the AirPort router
Wireless clients are displayed
Click on the small arrow next to each wireless client to see details about the device and the connection
I need to draw a spectrum obtained from a spectrometer in LabVIEW using an XY Chart. The data is stored in 2 columns in a spreadsheet form (counts against the wavelength) & using "excel.vi reading" ideally I should be able to trace this spectrum. The spectrum has averaged 1 data points k.
However, I am not able to get the chart by using this method, please suggest a change or provide me with a sample .vi as an example to understand.
Thanks in advance...!
You could use excel to export the data as a text file (separator: tab), and then read using "" read the worksheet file". Once you have the data in a table 2D, just the graphic columns both. (See attached example)
Assuming that you have read the file in the form of a 2D array, here's how you would it chart. (For simplicity, I copied the data from excel to a constant string diagram).

I get an error message when I try to send e-mails, would it be possible to send and receive e-mails via Outlook Express from another connection. I hope someone can help, thank you.
Always display the complete text and correct all errors when you ask about a problem.
ISPS don't like people using their networks to forward mail from other networks. The symptoms you describe are usually the result of not properly is authenticating with the outgoing server or the use of a non encrypted SMTP connection (that is, port 25 instead of 587 or 465 or whatever your email port provider requires for encryption).
Does anyone has a software that can give the ip address for any device connected to the laptop, as the Council of access control? Thanks for help
LookAtLAN network monitoring is one of these tools.
SuperScan is probably better, but I have not tried.
