No, it the DVD burning

Hello

I have a 320-1030 Touchsmart

Since I bought it 3 months ago, I was not able to burn DVDs. I tried several different burning programs and several different discs good quality. Still, he comes back with an error and will not burn to all drives. There must be an easy fix. I have tried to find updated firmware but can't find even that.

Any ideas what I can do. I really don't want to have to take it back to the store.

Thanks a lot for your quick response. Very much appreciated. Search for similar problems, I didn't see your answer before.

I was about to try some different discs, but you can see your point about the HP ones.

Last night I tried a last fix and it worked! I was able to burn a movie on disc for the first time successfully.

I looked again HP troubleshooting. So I tried to reinstall the storage driver and restarted the PC after that. Was surprised to see that it worked. Worth a try if someone else has this problem.

Thanks again for the response and if the problem occurs again, I will try your advice.

  • Is there a view/windows photo editor 8 and the DVD burner?

Is there a view/windows photo editor 8 and the DVD burner?

I am new to Windows 8.  I try to be positive and I hope that learning to use it in the coming year.

In Windows 7, there was a nice photo viewer/editor that let me also arrange slide shows, add music and burn the DVD the same.

Is there something like that in Windows 8, or possibly a download?

    Thank you, Lee

In regards to Yes Photo Viewer, Windows Photo Viewer is included in 8.0/8.1 0r Windows, you can install the latest version of Windows Essentials. With regard to the DVD recorder, that she was abducted by design, you can buy Windows Media Center to 10,00 US $ if you have Pro version or update Propak for US $100.00. Otherwise, there are many others, burning options - PowerDVD from Cyberlink is my choice.  Hope this helps and if you need help please post and we will be happy to help you.

  • Windows cannot recognize the dvd burner

If I'm not mistaken I have not had any problems burning dvd last time I used the dvd windows burner

    Hello

Step 1: Please do all the same underneath if you did some before as is often total
a process that solves the problem.

Try this - Panel - Device Manager - CD/DVD - double click on the device - driver tab.
Click on update drivers (this will probably do nothing) - RIGHT click ON the drive - uninstall.
RESTART this will refresh the default driver stack. Even if the reader does not appear to continue
    below.

Then, work your way through these - don't forget the drive might be bad, could be a coward
cable or slight corrosion on the contacts (usually for a laptop) and other issues.

Another possibility is that the cables are loose. Remove ALL power, then make sure that the cables in both
ends. Remove and replace, do not just tight. For laptops, you can often clean power and
contacts data with a pencil eraser.

Some DVD players do not use the Windows default drivers so check with the manufacturer of system and
manufacturer of device to see if there is a firmware or drivers for your drive if necessary.

    ===============================

Step 2: You have disc problems as the CD/DVD is actually 4 discs in 1 case (CD & DVD
Burn and CD and DVD read). So it is not unusual for 1 or 2 operational so that other parts
    do it right.

Did you follow the Troubleshooting Guide for the reader who still does not work? There are
the entries in registry that the troubleshooter does not solve and those who "might" be the cause.

Check with your Maker system and a device for the two possible firmware updates and
the correct registry entries for your car.

Here are the keys that I of course are those in question - for the subkeys of the CD/DVD drive

    the parameters.

  • Laptop HP G60t-500 - cannot find the DVD burner driver

    Hello

I upgraded my laptop G60t-500 for Windows 8.  I had to reinstall some of the drivers in compatibility mode and overall, it works ok (thumping audio does not work, but I get audio with USB speakers) However, I just noticed that the DVD RW drive does not.  In Device Manager, the hp DVDRAM GT20L reports the following error message:

Windows cannot load the driver for this hardware device. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)

    {Unable to load device driver}
HS device driver could not be loaded.
    Error status is 0 x %x

I was looking on the site of HP support pilot for the original drivers for the DVD RW drive but can't seem to find them.  I found the HP DVD Play software and I was wondering if it needs to be reinstalled.  Or I have to look elsewhere for the device driver?  Or should I uninstall and leave the machine to find the driver.

As a record, when I right click on the device in Device Manager and select "Update driver software", select the option to let the computer find the right driver, he again reports the correct driver is installed.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

    Carol

Thank you, Vidya.  I had to reboot and now my machine 'sees' the DVD player and it's working (I tested it using a DVD for playback and serious files).

    Thank you!!

  • I have a plug in the DVD burner to add my drive Adobe Acrobat on my Macbook air, however, it says that I can not install as Apple does not support Microsoft programs, any help?

You can use Acrobat, if you get the Mac version (or a subscription, which is independent of the platform).

  • -DVD burn does not work in the DVD player sometimes

I have a Mac Pro from the beginning of 2008, and it came with a DVD drive (OPTIARC DVD RW AD - 7170A).  I was able to burn DVDs with using toast in the past.

But lately, the half of the DVD burn won't play in my DVD consumer player.  I get a "Disk error" message when I try to play them, and they do not load.  It's a strange problem, because some of them work and some do not.  I can't tell where the problem is.

Is there a way to test the DVD player?  Should I just replace it?

Many brands of blank DVDs gives very inconsistent results when burning. If you use a brand store or generic blanks, that may be the problem.

    Hi erdocmg,

    (1) in order to clarify, are you referring to your DVD - ROM (Read - only memory) (DVD writer\burner) or drive DVD burning software?

    (2) you get an error message?

If you are referring to the DVD - ROM drive, and then run fixit available in the link below and then check
