No license key for Edition Vista Home Premium

We bought an Asus laptop for our a few December 2008.  The hard drive on the PC failed recently, and after the repair, we have problems with the license key.  When he tries to access its user, he gets an error message that the Vista license key is not valid.  We have not received all the disks with the PC and if their was a license certificate, he was lost.  Is it possible to recover its original license key or reactivate otherwise Vista so that the PC will be functional again?  Help, please...

As you have not yet installed original Vista installation, we can not help you with your product key.

http://support.ASUS.com/

Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a recovery disk/s Vista set.

Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.

Reinstall from the recovery disks.
Recovery diskss, normally, do not require a product key.

See you soon.

    Hello

    There is no Windows Vista downloads available from Microsoft.

    You can contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send you a set of recovery disks.

    They should do this for a small fee.

    And if you have never received a recovery disk when you bought your computer, there should be a recovery Partition on the hard drive to reinstall Vista on how you purchased your computer.

    The recovery process can be started by pressing a particular combination of the key or keys at startup. (Power on / start)

    Maybe it's F10, F11, Alt + F10, etc., depending on the manufacturer.

    Ask them to the proper key sequence.

    And if you do not score a manufacturer of recovery on your hard drive, you should be able to make your own recovery from her disks to reinstall the operating system.

    Go to programs > name of the manufacturer of your computer > then their system or recovery tools software topics for them, depending on how it is formulated.

    If you can't find any reference to it, contact the manufacturer for advice on how to make these recovery disks

    Some manufacturers have more available Vista recovery disks.

    If this happens, you may need to try this instead:

    You can also borrow and use a Microsoft Vista DVD, which contains the files for the different editions of Vista (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate) must be installed. The product key on your computer / Laptop box determines what Edition is installed.

    Other manufacturers recovery DVDs are should not be used for this purpose.

    And you need to know the version of 'bit' for Vista, as 32-bit and 64-bit editions come on different DVDs

    "How to do a clean install and configure with a full Version of Vista '

    http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/117366-clean-install-full-version-Vista.html

    And once the operating system is installed, go to your computer manufacturer's website and get the latest drivers for your particular model or laptop computer.

    And phone Activation may be necessary when you use the above installation method.

    Vista recovery media obtain and/or use the Partition Recovery Vista on your computer to the factory settings .

    There is no Vista free download legal available.

    Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a recovery disk/s Vista set.

    Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    In addition, ask them if you have a recovery Partition on your computer/laptop to restore it to factory settings.
    See if a manual provided with the computer or go to the manufacturer's website, email or you can call for information on how to make a recovery.
    Normally, you have to press F10 or F11 at startup to start the recovery process...
    Another way I've seen on some models is press F8 and go to a list of startup options, and launch a recovery of standards of plant with it, by selecting the repair option.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    Also ask them if it is possible to do the recovery disk/s for the recovery Partition in case of a system Crash or hard drive failure.

    They will tell you how to do this.

    Every computer manufacturer has their own way of making recovery disk/s.

    See you soon.

  • Accidentally, I installed my product key for Windows 7 Home Premium and Windows 7 Professional. Is there a possible way to activate Windows with this key?

    Activate Windows 7: Home Premium on professional product key - please help!

    Hello world

    I hope you can help me!
    I have a product key for Windows 7 Home Premium. I downloaded it online when I bought it so that I never received a disc to reformat. Someone at work gave me their CD to reformat.
    After you reformat and reinstall ALL my programs, I went to activate Windows 7 again. Guess what? Turns out that I used Windows 7 Professional to reformat.
    Really, I don't want to go through reformatting and reinstalling everything and don't even know if I'll be able to get my hands on a CD to reformat Windows 7 Home Premium.
    Is there anyway can I still activate my product key for Windows 7 Home Premium Windows 7 Professional? In any case I can exchange my Home Premium product key to a professional one? I love how my computer is currently configured and won't do anything else that just activate my legitimate version of Windows 7!
    Thank you all in advance for your time.
    Ramon

    The only way to do it would be to buy a license for Pro-

    Since you have already apparently a licnese to Home Premium, you could buy an upgrade, and then create a repair install with the new key.

    If you bought a full Pro license, you will be able simply to insert your new key and activate that.

  • Product key for Windows 7 Home Premium

    I lost my product key for windows 7 Home premium. Stupidly I did not take off the sticker to put on your computer for the same reason. I installed again but, now, the activation delay is in place and I do not know how to find my key.

    Product key - where to find the product key

    If you bought a computer with Windows preinstalled would a certificate of authenticity (COA) sticker somewhere on your computer. It will say what version of Windows you have and will also have an alphanumeric code at 25 on it - this is your product key. If it is not on your computer look in your documents or on any case of CD/DVD that was included with the computer.

    If you purchased Windows 7, it should be included in the retail box.

    If you purchased Windows 7 online and downloaded that the key should be sent to you by e-mail.

    I bought the Dell with pre-installed Windows 7 Home Premium computer. I recently had a problem with the firewall system and found that the only solution is to reinstall Windows. I downloaded .iso with Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 because my current version has been already upgraded to SP1. After that I installed it, it asked me to enter the product key.
