  If the charger does not work in the sheets that you have connected to in the household (and probably other devices work in these sheets) then chances are that either the fuse in the plug either the charging unit itself is dead. You may need to have it checked by a repair technician. Obviously if you machine under warranty, contact the manufacturer's technical support and see what they suggest.

  Old phone two days (M4 Aqua 16 GB, my first Sony Xperia), loaded with success yesterday afternoon, but since last night, plug the charger initiates the stop.

  The red signal light flashes for a few seconds, as if the battery is empty, and it is 'clean shutdown' (with the text "shutting down" etc.) and not only immediate out-of-power.

  Battery is about 50-60% full. Nothing has changed, to my knowledge, between the perception of success and failure now; no update (running Android 5.0 and shows no missing updates) and nothing physical.

  Same result if I connect it to the computer. The USB cable itself does nothing, however; only when there are travel expenses.

  Tried with 0,1,2 SIMs and with and without memory card. no difference.

  Given that the problem persists, too, when I try to connect it to my computer, I can't do the things computerized (firmware upgrades, etc.) that have been recommended for other problems of turning the power-down, and since I managed to install and configure everything, I'm not happy to hard-reset and reinstall everything. And if I have to reinstall, I am strongly inclined to return it to the store and get another brand :-/  So, what should I do?

  In this case I can only really advise that you talk with Sony Mobile Customer Care, because it looks more like a hardware problem.

  It seems that you are not able to turn on the laptop and tried to solve the problem

  Please perform steps listed to find out if it is a hardware or software problem below:

  1. remove all cables and devices, disconnect them and try to turn on the device

  2. check the LED light situation and ensure the action of the spring button / stop is normal

  3 Exchange with a well known power cord and the AC adapter

  4 Pack no adapters are available, check if the power adaptor is slightly warm

  Note: This will give us an indication that the power adapter could be good

  5. do you know if the laptop was in battery or power adapter when you used the last time

  Note: Make sure that there is no spill of liquid or cutting

  6. check if the Port of the AC adaptor is loose/broken

  Note: If the laptop is not on even with a power adapter well known, this confirms the hardware failure with the system board or power DC Circuit

• I have a Lenovo IdeaPad P500 running Windows 8, and my battery is 0% charged. When I plug it in, it says "plugged and not charging."

  This is your problem.  You are indeed right, that they are not supposed to look like that.  Each of these axes is a PIN on the ethernet cable.  If one of these pins is not, or not aligned properly, you will receive all the data ever.  This explains why Windows detects ethernet controller (which it does not normally when the hardware has failed), as well as why you do not get the activity lights.

  If you had only your laptop for two years and a half months you need to contact HP directly and have the laptop repaired while it is still under warranty.  I have a link that will be useful to get this process started for you.

  The link takes you to a form to fill out.  Once you fill it and she is treated, it will give you the computer warranty information, a file number and the phone number to call.
