No lights when the LAN cable is connected by Satellite A30-141
I'm trying to connect my satellite A30 141 to a router using an rj45 plug. When I connect to the ethernet port, nothing happens. no lights on my laptop. someone at - it how to deal with this issue. I can reset the port of a Charter service engineers.
any help would be much appreciated
Hello
I put t know which lamps do you mean because I don t find any LAN LEDs on this laptop. In case you I would recommend checking the status of LAN card in Device Manager. Check if this card has been properly recognized and if there is no yellow exclamation point.
In addition, I put t know what you expect. If you connect the LAN cable to the laptop from the LAN icon in the taskbar should usually shows the connected state of LAN cable (NO red x). If you do not see this icon please activate this option in the properties of LAN.

Of crashes/blue Equium A60 laptop screen when the LAN cable is in?
Hi all
I have a laptop Toshiba Equium A60 which now extends for less than a year.
I am running WinXp Sp2Yesterday, my laptop started to plant flashing a blue screen (not the time to see what he says that the computer reboots too quickly).
I found that only apparently failed when the network cable is connected for example if I start the laptop, it will be put in service as usual, but when it starts to communicate with the network/router (I see glancing at blue screens in the lower Task Bar to the right), it crashes. I tried another port on the router but no luck.
Is my network card: Realtek RTL8139/810 x Family Fast Ethernet NIC
It works well in Safe mode and doesn't crash.
I updated the driver but and it's always the same.
I then decided to restore my laptop to factory/day via the Toshiba Recovery DVD.
When it worked fine all day restored (had internet access via the network) until I clicked on: set up a home network or small business in the control panel. He crashed again in the same way. Now it will crash repeatedly like above.
This could be a problem with my cable?
Help, please... Any ideas?Thank you for the charges,
ShayHello
If the network connection works fine, it is not necessary to set it up again. I guess there are conflicts and the unit freezes. In my opinion there is no problem with the hardware or with your cable with the network settings.

Click Start or press the Windows key and type power can locate the power to change recording settings in the section of the Control Panel from the list above and click on it. At the opening of the Power Options pane, click choose when turn off display available on the left side.
Choose a new setting for brightness in the drop down menu on the battery . Look at all the other parameters that you feel you want to modify, and then click save changes in the lower right to apply the options you have selected energy saving.
You can now close the Power Options pane when you return.

Compaq 6910p - wireless adapter turns off when the ethernet cable is connected
Hi all
Then, when I plug in an ethernet cable (connected to a router), my wireless adapter turns off.
He immediately turns on when I unplug the ethernet cable.
It isn't really a problem, either connection will provide my needs of networking, but it's just weird and I don't like it.
Using Win7 Ultimate 64 bit.
advice would be appreciated.
Hello:
This is the default setting to save the battery.
If you always want the wireless on, go into BIOS > Menu of device Configuration and activation to deactivate WLAN-LAN.

Satellite C660 - 115 WLan connection only works when the power cable is connected
Hello
A few weeks ago, I bought a Satellite C660-115. I want to surf the internet anywhere in my house without any son/cables.
On the first day, I had this problem: when I disconnect _power_ cable, the wireless connection will stop working. The Web page on my screen will always be there, but a new page loading is a problem.
It is sometimes useful to recharge (by pressing F5), - sometimes not. It is always useful to "ip address of repair", but not for long. The only solution is to atach regardless of how much power the battery has still the power cord.
When I do, it is no problem whith the connection at all.
I went back to the store where I bought it, they related to their own wireless network and they have had the same problem after a few minutes. In the shop too attach the power cable solved the problem. So the problem must be in my lap top, not in my network (modem or almost).
Doesn't this all seem familiar, and if so, how can I solve this?
I hope that my English is understandable, I live in Holland.
Thanks in advance! Here is the solution:

HP ATI Radeon HD 7450: Video card puts all monitors to sleep when the HDMI cable is connected
I'm having a problem with a brand HP ATI Radeon HD 7450 part number 672459-001. When I plug a cable HDMI card put the monitor in standby. And when I unplug cable HDMI, the screen stays off until I restart the computer. The HDMI cable needs to be connected to anything in this case. It makes me batty to be honest
Jim Hutto
I do not work for HP.
I am a computer technician and a passion for computing with more than 32 years of computer repair and networking experienceNever mind, figured it out. It is the HDMI2av converter. The converter might work power HDMI port or a separate power connection. The card is not enough voltage to run it. Then when I plugged it without external power supply it would draw so much tension that he caused the GPU to lock up.

Satellite X 200 SLI falls down when the HDMI cable is connected
Hello world
I'm very sad about this. You just bought a new brand Toshiba x 200 SLI and I get a crash (blue screen on Vista) when I plug the HDMI on my Philips Full HD TV.
I did not almost any update, but still, this shouldn't happen on arrival!
Clues? Many thanks for any help on this!
Hmmm this error is known to me, but unfortunately it is not easy to tell what's exactly wrong or what causes this problem.
Sometimes this BSOD could be linked to the issue of driver/software, but the last time I received this message on my 5 year old laptop and finally I discovered that one of my modules of memory was defective!
However, this laptop was equipped with two GPU chips then perhaps there could be something wrong who knows? :|
But it s very strange that in this case using the HDMI port to my knowledge only this satellite X 200 series are supported by a standard HDMI V1.2 (up to 1080i).
Did you use the right cable? As you can see an investigation is necessary to locate the cause of the error.
If there is something wrong with the hardware I would recommend contacting the ASP in your country in order to clarify this strange issue.
Good luck

My best guess, not knowing what updates you have loaded, would be that you got a video update from Microsoft that may not be 100% compatible with your laptop. I would go to the manufacturer website and download the latest video drivers for your laptop and install them according to the manufacturer's suggestions.

laptop loses picture when the hdmi cables are connected
laptop loses picture when I connect the laptop HDMI cable to HD TV
Help, please.
Thank you.
Try pressing your "fn + f5" together until both monitors are on. The combination of keys is to pass between the monitors. In your case, the first time, it should turn on the laptop screen and turns off the second monitor, the second must turn them both on. On some computers, it's the f4 key and on dell is the f8 key, the key is usually the image from one monitor to this topic.

Hi all,I just want to ask how to solve Driver_irql_not_less_or_equal windows 7 blue screen when connecting the LAN cable?pls help me...Thanks in advance...
We need the DMP file because it contains the single record of the sequence of events that led to the accident, what drivers have been loaded, and what has been loaded.
You may be able to get the DMP files without crashing by booting in SafeMode (F8) with networking.
If you are overclocking stop. (chances are that if you are unsure if you are, you are not)
To allow us to help you with symptoms BSOD on your computer, download the contents of your folder "\Windows\Minidump".

On the lan cable connection, it says as unidentified network.
That's what I have to type the command ipconfig/all. I tried to reinstall drivers recvoery as Manager, but no results. It worked without problem until now
Home networks typically use a form any of 192.168.x.x
For example:
192.168.1.14
Found in your example:
192.16. 137.1
Also found:
Autoconfiguration IPv4 address. . : 169.254.218.171
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
I suspect that the installer with your home network router is misconfigured and the network can't find a viable (useful) DNS address to use for the purpose of ISP Internet Service (ISP) connection.

Toshiba NB550-111 - no connection if the LAN cable is more than 2 metres
Hello
My newly purchased Toshiba NB550-111(Windows 7 Starter Service Pack 1) has problems with the LAN card.
If the LAN cable is more than 2 meters, no relation to Allied Telesyn switch (no indicator led on the switch, 2 other desktop computers already connected). I tried not to connect in a different port (one used previously by one of desktop computers), no connection. I tried with 3 cables, still no results.Cables (cat5E, so important) have been tested OK before with a cable Tester, and I use both of them without any problem with another 2 desktop computers at home. I set another cable (5 m long, newly purchased) and tested for connectivity. It works very well with the other two offices, no results with the netbook. I tried with adapter it works, I disabled ' energy efficient ethernet "NIC, still no connection properties page. It only connects if the cable is less than 2 meters. I tried to connect the netbook directly to the DSL router, still no connection with a longer cable.
The device is reported by windows as work very well, and the test Toshiba utility ends there is no problem. Windows I configured in the Control Panel, the Plan balanced for maximum performance in the power options, still no results.
Any ideas, please? Now maybe stupid question but what is with WLAN? You don t want to use WLAN?

After the oath to a customer support agent, I decided to turn to the community that might better support than support Netgears AWEFUL!
I tried a modem LAN cable connected to my PC, but nothing lights up on the modem telling me its plugged in, and nothing on the PC tells me that the LAN cable is pluged. I tried 2 different PC with 2 different LAN cables, both having same issue.
