No luck update plugins, uninstalled, reinstalled, nothing works, what should I do?
OK - I have a PowerBook G4, 10.4.11, PowerPC. I use Firefox version 3.6.28. For the past two weeks firefox always tells me to update my plugins: Shockwave Flash 10.1 r102, Quicktime 7.6.4, etc. I listed those give me grief - I uninstalled it, reinstalled etc. Flash does not support the Power PC more then how I can possibly update? And no luck with Quicktime-I downloaded, rebooted and still get the message of plugin for this update. Y at - it another version of Firefox, I can use? Impossible to download all the images to FB and it must be because of Flash. In any case really so frustrated thank you for your help.
With as old a computer of yours, it's the latest software, you can get. You have to just disable the plugin update notification by going to about: config in the address bar and by searching for "plugins.hide_infobar_for_outdated_plugin". Set it to true.
http://www.floodgap.com/software/tenfourfox/ is another browser, you can install on the 10.4 to get some more modern web browser features.

While an alert of Mozilla Firefox navigation popped up, indicating that I had some ongoing activity. He said push the tab start to run a test, I did. The result is that I had a virus (Trojan and malware) on my computer. To correct, he said to download something from Creative Technologies... I have not download - not knowing what it was. My anits-virus Avira software shows nothing. Who is right/trust, and what should I do if I meet once again it?
Thank you for your help
GerryMozilla Firefox is a web browser, not an antivirus scanner.
This looks like one of those sites where a fake animated scanner happens (in a Windows theme) and then pretend you're infected with something false, just to let you download which will really be that infects the computer Windows run. Most obvious, that it is wrong when we get this on Mac OSX or Linux.

No audio on web pages using Firefox. I've updated all the plugins, check the volume level of the mixer, latest versions of Flash, Java, Quicktime. I uninstalled Firefox, even deleted personal settings, delete directories in the folder program files and reinstalled different versions, all to nothing does not. I am running Vista 32 updated in an office. IE9 has no problems, full audio and video on the same web sites is not a hardware problem, Windows sounds are also audible. I have the connection high speed, no problems there.
I face a similar problem myself. The problem is probably that you do not have the latest version of Flash installed, which, unfortunately, is not very compatible with Firefox. Here are the associated help file to this:
https://support.Mozilla.org/en-us/KB/Flash-113-doesn ' t-charge-video-firefox
See if any of these fixes will help. I hope this helps and good luck!

How can I remove KB2871389 update? (Uninstall does not work)
OPTION A: Run steps thru #1 & including #7 and then see if KB2871389 will uninstall itself properly. If so, you will need to then hide it before automatic updates installs it again.
OPTION b: you can get a "Premium" sponsored by Microsoft through the Office of response-online http://answerdesk.microsoftstore.com Support
Note: Support for Windows 8 (IE10) ends January 12, 2016. Your computer will not be offered more updates (security or otherwise) or after January 26, 2016, unless & until the 8.1 for Windows has been installed.
Good luck.
PS: No preferential ticket upgrade to Windows 10 unless Win8.1 is installed!
It did not work =)
At the restart, got the same "unable to configure returning updates of changes".
Done everything as instructed, in the last step, I just downloaded the Windows Update troubleshooting in http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-8/troubleshoot-problems-installing-updates tool and run it (did not find any instructions specific to my problem)
Well, it been 6 days since I uninstalled KB3008273 and he hasn't asked me to install windows 8.1 so far.
Maybe I don't need to uninstall KB2871389.
I have a few other updates available, any other active the automatic update too?

"The update could not be installed." What should I do?
Whenever Firefox try to update I get a message that says "the update could not be installed. Please make sure that there is no other copy of Firefox running on your computer, etc... "The task manager says there is no other copy of Firefox running, and there are not yet all copies of Firefox running on the anywhere network. When I click on X or OK it just runs through the same cycle and I get the same message. This happens to every update until I have download the new version and install it on top of the current installation. I continue to wait for the bug with the next update, but he continues to be. How to stop this behavior, or can I just give up on Firefox and the use of Chrome or something? It is becoming a major pain in the neck.
See http://kb.mozillazine.org/Software_Update (Software Update doesn't work does not correctly)
Delete the files in the folder updates\0 and updates:
Vista/Windows7:
C:\Users\ < user > \AppData\Local\Mozilla\Firefox\Mozilla Firefox\updates
(%LOCALAPPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Mozilla Firefox\updates)Do a clean reinstall and download a new copy of Firefox since http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all.html and save the file to the desktop.
Uninstall your current version of Firefox and remove the Firefox program folder before installing this copy of the Firefox installer.
Do not remove personal data during the uninstallation. It is important to remove the Firefox program folder to delete all the files and make sure that there is no problem with the files that were the remains after uninstallation.
You can skip the step to create a new profile, which is not required on this issue.

Message from windows vista - "Firefox has stopped working", what should I do?
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but for some reason, it won't let me
Hello
You can try to download the latest version, right click on the installer and run it as an administrator. If the problem persists, then you can consider the function of Reset Firefox via help (Alt + H) > troubleshooting information.
(To return to the previous mode, you were using, close the new profile (i.e. Quit Firefox), start Firefox and choose the default user profile.) Alors_que Profile Manager is open, you can also remove the reset your profile (the one containing the random numbers) or the old profile, as appropriate). If the reset is correct, it would be a good idea to delete the old profile as otherwise it would be left intact with the previous data before deletion.
