  • HP Photosmart C6180 Magenta Ink not printing

    error message: no

description of the problem: Magenta Ink not print not EXCEPT on the page that prints after aligning the print cartridge printing is performed. At the bottom of this page, the bars of yellow, Cyan and Magenta print perfectly, just like the mixture of the color shown in the colorful bird printed below the bars.

Self Test Diagnostic Page is printed with bars No. Light Magenta or Magenta, under print quality model. State of ink and level for both shows like OK magenta and 100%

Troubleshooting: I ran repeated cycles of head cleaning and aligning the print cartridge print without changing the output. The page that prints after cleaning has NO magenta bars or lines. Seems the page that prints after alignment. Via e-mail support, I was directed to perform a complete reset "semi" and "the NVM reset" - neither of these had no effect. Magenta inks have been replaced, but the problem persists.

  • DeskJet F2180: Deskjet F2180 only magenta work.

The printer worked very well for many years. I upgraded to WIN 10 and he stiil worked. It works well in black but has a problem in color mode. I thought it was a problem of low ink as only magenta worked. I tried another cartridge that had the same problem, but it was an old cartridge and thought it might have dried. Then I bought a new cartridge (HP22) real and the problem resolved. The print cartridge allignment sheet and complete alignment. After a few weeks, one of the colors is impossible to print. I cleaned the contacts, but it made no difference. I then printed a self-test as described in the manual and all three colors print correctly. I checked that win 10 is up-to-date and I reinstalled the latest HP driver. Is there a diagnostic software that will help you.

Glad to hear that you guessed it sorted. There is no such reclassification policy non HP cartridges. Perhaps you are referring to this: inquiries regarding third party ink and supplies (recharge and revised).

In any case, this does not apply to your printer, and I think the question was probably related to the software or driver, and I am pleased that you guessed it work.

  • Sort of printing black and white only when magenta cartridge is empty?

We have a HP Office Jet Pro 8500 a. computer running Windows Vista.

The Magenta cartridge is currently empty, and we need to print an urgent document before we will be able to get a new cartridge.

While trying to print a black and white document only, the following error has occurred:

    Exhausted ink cartridges

    HP 940 Magenta

The cartridges listed above must be replaced to resume printing.

HP recommends that you do not remove an ink cartridge until a replacement is ready to install.

Specified in printing dialog windows that we want only black and white, but it is still received this error message.

Is it possible to adjust the printer settings to specify explicitly that you want to use black ink?

Thanks for any help you can give.

This printer takes individual ink cartridges (IIC), and this ink delivery system requires that all cartridges to be installed for the printer to work. You can set the printer to "Using black ink only", but that must be done before a cartridge is exhausted, that the printer inks for other uses in fairest impression. It also uses the ink for the maintenance of the print heads. Here a link to a document that turns to explain various ways that ink is used in a printer beyond just printing.

I searched and searched all the options solve my problem of print head... my c7280 does not print the 3rd area of magenta or 3rd band of magenta in the horizontal bar for a long time in the process of cleaning print head.  I recently replaced the magenta ink cartridge... think maybe that the nozzle is blocked?

I printed the scopes auto diagnostics pages... everything looks OK... as far as I can tell... not knowing much of course.

I can provide any information on this page, if it can help solve my problem.

    Thanks in advance

  • 8600 pro more: Officejet Pro 8600 Plus no Magenta

Shows estimated ink levels screen I have a magenta full certridge which is correct, but the printer will not print any color. I cleaned the print head and the sheet that comes out shows no magenta. I changed the cartridge for a new, everything was good for several days, and the same thing happened. Do I need a new print head?

    Hi mjdiebel,

I'm sorry that your printer is not turning off any magenta ink.  You have already replaced the cartridge and clean the print head.  You may be able to recover the ink by making another cleaning; but at this point the print head may need to be replaced.

Here is a document that describes the steps that you have already taken and how to order a printhead if you decide to go this route:

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/product/HP-OfficeJet-Pro-8600-plus-e-all-in-one-printer-series-N911/4322915/document/c04113542/

The price of a printing head can be high, depending on the age of your printer, you can decide to buy a new printer instead.

    I hope this information helps.

  • Photosmart 6510: Yellow and Magenta turns blue

Maybe not a new problem, but some new observations that can help.  After that some time away from my Magenta and yellow printed in blue, confirm by a status report.  The cartridges were no HP (do not jump on this as a solution) and translucent, while it was possible to see a volume of blue contamination apparently impinge on the Magenta and Yellow Printhead.  The affected volume does not appear to be consistent with the limited amount of blue used from my Blue cartridge.  I changed the cartridges using HP cartridges and clean the heads, with the result that I have now had the trinting of colors.  A week later, I needed to clean the heads again, then again three days later.

I had kept the translucent cartridges, and the "intrusion" of blue now completely invades the sponges.

Are there chances are that the problem is a fungus or bacteria?

If this is not the case, why cleaning doesn't?

    Hi @VinD,

I see that you have problems with the volume of blue contamination apparently impinge on the Magenta and Yellow Printhead.  I would like to help you today.

'HP recommends you to use genuine HP cartridges. HP does not guarantee the quality or reliability of cartridges HP cartridges refilled HP. If you use genuine HP, the following cartridges no could not solve your problem of print quality "."

Very probably cartridges not HP always are in the print head, causing this problem. It seems that insert you the cartridges not HP again and now the "intrusion" of blue now completely invades the sponges.

This document is for the cleaning of the cartridge and the contacts, check the tab on the cartridge and the printer reset. "Incompatible cartridge" or "indicated ink cartridge needs to be replaced" message on the c...

If the problem persists, perform a power reset. A alphanumeric Code (example: ' 0 x 'r' C2...) ") displays on the front panel when printing. Do not take into account the title.
