No mail option in photos

I can't post a picture of the program foto

Mail has been enabled in the default Mail reader in Mail preferences like that?  If this is not the case, turn it on.

Mail is missing in the photo sharing menu?  And apparently not if you click "More" in the menu share?

Then, try this fix - see link below:

If the markup or stock options is missing after upgrade to OS X Yosemite or El Capitan - Apple Support

    Use e-mail to share photos

You can use Mail to send photos directly from Photos. When you use E-mail to send pictures in e-mail, Photos sends the first account in your Mail preferences. If you have other e-mail accounts configured in Mail preferences, you can select which e-mail account to send email when you send it.

Note: When you use E-mail to send a live picture, the Live Photo is transferred as a still image only.

Tip: If you have a lot of files or files to send, you can use the mailbox to send. You must have an iCloud account to use the mailbox. You can use the mailbox to send attachments up to 5 GB in size directly from Mail on your Mac, or icloud.com/mail on your Mac or PC. All file types are supported and attachments do not count against your storage iCloud.

    Open pictures for me

    1. Select the photos you want to send. You can send photos from your photo library or an album, but not a slideshow or a project (for example, a book, card, or calendar).
    2. Click on the Share button in the toolbar and choose Mail.Mail opens a message with attached photos.
    3. Type the e-mail address of the recipient in the field, and then type a subject line in the subject field.
    4. Type a message if you want, and then click Send.

Share items with other applications and websites

You can easily share your photos on a third party Web site by adding an extension for the site to your menu to share.

When you open the share menu, you see a list of extensions that already uses pictures. To share with other applications, you can download the apps (and their sharing extensions) from the Mac App Store, then activate the extensions in the menu share.

    Open pictures for me

    1. Click on the Share button on the toolbar. The share menu opens and displays the pictures extensions already uses.
    2. Choose, share more in the menu. The Extensions of the system preferences pane opens.
    3. Click the share Menu on the left.
    4. Check the box next to each extension you want to add to the drop action.

After you add the extension in the menu share, you can select photos and share them with third-party application or website.

I think if you try to sell something to be sure, you need to get the rights to use the photo. IMO, it's the prudent thing to do.

  • Save, save as and attached to the E-mail Options greyed out

I have a client using Adobe Reader X, any PDF file open on their system (Win7 64 bit) has the save, save as and attachment to the E-mail option is grayed out. This is for all users of the system.

I can open the same PDF on my equivalent system without problems and have access to 'Save', 'Save-as' and 'Attach to E-mail' options. So I know the file PDF itself is OK.

I tried to remove and reinstall Adobe Reader X on clients machine, but the same problem occurs after re - install. I checked the options in the application, and they both look the same on both systems.

Are there options to the registry or any other thing, I can look at to compare the reason why we have to 'Save', 'Save-as' and 'Attach to E-mail' options and the other does not?

Thank you in advance for any help you can provide,

Doriana, just to confirm our email conversation (and update the forum for anyone else having the same problems).

I just solved the problem. As I suspected that he had no problem with the file, it must have been a corruption with the installation of Acrobat Reader. Although I had repaired and removed / re-installed application (nor with any success previously).

So this time I deleted the Adobe Reader software and then connected the Acrobat (acrobat_ittools_cleaner_p2_061713.zip) the site Adobe Web cleaning tool. I then restarted the computer and re-installed Adobe Reader 10.1.13. Now everything seems to work. Definitely under my ID, so just need to the end-user for testing.

Thanks again for your time and your help John. I will end this post on the forum.

  • How to configure mail to send photos to email wothout using attachment option?

How can I configure windows live to send photos by mail without an attachment?

You can't send a photo with a message without being an attachment. If you want the photo to be incorporated into the body of the message, you have two choices:

    1. When you compose the message, use the unique photo tab Insert button (or press Ctrl-J). Despite the name of the button, you can select multiple photos to insert.
    2. Upload your photo to a SkyDrivefile hosting site. Make public (everyone can see), and then use original view to open the photo in its own window. You can then use right click to copy and paste into your e-mail message.

If this isn't what you meant, please explain in more detail.

  • I get a message failed delivery mail when sending photos

I have an iMac, the system OS X El Capitan. When sending photos to some e-mail addresses, I get a message failed delivery mail with certain addresses (but not addresses)

These failed messages come from the recipient's e-mail server, not from your computer. You will need to know by the service provider why it rejected your mail. Bindings can be too big, or they may be incorrectly blocked as spam.

  • What does the option "copy photos to the photo library?

I explore this now app Photos (worst name ever) and I wanted to import photos in Photos. The problem for me is I want to let the pictures where they already are. I'm not interested in a database or the system that hides the pictures of me in the finder. I want to be able to right click and reveal in finder - "export image" is a terrible choice.

So, I see an option to check in the preferences. It reads: "Copy pictures to the photo library" but has no explanation as to what that means or does. This is what it will move my photos if I select copy? (their disappearance from the original file)? It will resume photos - clutter up my drive? If we make a copy and I update the original in Photoshop - it will reflect this change in the Photo?

So many questions and I can not find an answer to any place. Even the help files had nothing that I could find.

Default is 'Copy photos to the photo library' enabled.  Then the pictures will do exactly that. Any Photo that you import pictures is copied in the photo library and managed by pictures. You can remove the original outside the library after you have verified that it imported properly.

If you disable the option, pictures reference the file in its original location and does not copy it.

This configuration is not recommended because you have to manage photos on your own. If you delete photos of Photos, you must delete the original outside yourself. You cannot use iCloud photo library with referenced files and if dot nee restore you from a backup library will need films to another drive, you will need to manually reconnect all originals. It is subject to errors.

If we make a copy and I update the original in Photoshop - it will reflect this change in the Photo?

It will not work. Two Photos will ignore changes to Photosho or lose the connection to the original file. To use an external editor in pictures use extensions to change Photos photo editing panel. Let the pics to send the original to the external editor.

This help page explains how the import options work:
