No mode of the Tablet CTRL + ALT + DELETE key or Windows security?

I just bought a laptop / Tablet HP TX2-1020US that came with Vista Home Premium.  Good so far.  I upgraded to OS to Vista Ultimate and my original SBS2008 domain-joined and worked on a large too.

The problem is: when I'm in tablet mode, no button is "Windows Security" referred to in the prompt "press CTRL + ALT + DELETE or Windows security" in the starting System.  I end up having to convert portable mode, press CAD and convert again in tablet mode and use the biometric login each time.  Same thing to unlock the machine after an invocation of the screensaver, etc..

HP support says they don't support "as sold" configuration, even if I am invited for an upgrade as it sets up for the first time, I am on my own if I do.  Not a very "the computer's personal again' approach to customer service... ;-)

I thought I could reassign a touch on the surface of the Tablet--maybe the button "Mediasmart" I wouldn't need otherwise.  But the upgrade apparently took a toll on that too since the dialog box control Tablet PC Panel, in the general and the tabs button, I decidedly enigmatic after the upgrade and the tablet button ID is displayed as @BttnCmn.DLL,-2, -9, -7, etc. (for example the change in screen orientation button is @BttnCmn.DLL,-9).

I would appreciate a solution that is running boards - the need to press CTRL + ALT + DELETE and brings me directly to where a slip of the finger is a login, or a reallocation of button so I could tap without having to disable-tablet-mode each time.

Thanks in advance,
Richard

And one possible answer is:

  1. Administrative Tools | Local security policy
  2. (Elevation of privilege)
  3. Local policies | Security options
  4. Interactive logon to change: don't require CTRL + ALT + DELETE to "Undefined" to "Enabled".
  5. Close local security policy tool.

CTRL + ALT + DELETE screen is bypassed, and the login screen is used instead (for which the fingerprint reader works fine).

Thank you
Richard

  • flashing screen unable to do anything else apart from CTRL + ALT + DELETE 8.1 windows

This morning, Toshiba Satellite C55 - starts ok. signs to ok. but the next screen blinks and the hourglass is NOT (circle thing) swirling around. Stops flashing for about 15 seconds and start again. The only thing I can do is CTRL ALT DEL any help or ideas would be welcome.

In response to my post from 08:13 today. Have tried various ways one seen on the web many points. It is a common problem caused by many things according to what I read on the web. So I took my laptop to PC World and they told me that the flashing is caused by Norton. Basically, a clash of downloads from Microsoft that was huge yesterday evening and Norton do not receive the patch of security right in place beforehand. I know the result when I pick up my laptop. If I was more computer savvy I couldn't do it myself. I was wondering if this has happened to anyone else?

  • CC of Photoshop for PC - ctrl-alt-arrow key does nothing

I installed Photoshop CC on a new PC, and the combination of keys ctrl-alt-arrow does nothing. He used to reduce the area of framing around pixels and move the selection by 1 pixel. Now, it does nothing. Using shift-ctrl-alt-arrow shrinks the selection around the pixel rectangle and move the selection of 10 pixels, meaning that it is supposed to do. Any help is appreciated.

I got this in Windows 7 with my driver Intel HD 4000 as well. Enabling auto-start for the Intel Graphics Control panel was the problem. He caught in the trap of the combination of keys Ctrl-Alt arrow, but not the Shift-Ctrl-Alt-arrow key combination.

If the solution is simple http://superuser.com/questions/796396/how-to-disable-igfxhk-module-process-from-starting-u p-with-windows

I just went into msconfig > Services tab, deselected "Intel HD Graphics Control Panel Service" and restarted the PC.

You will always have access to the graphical control panel, but Ctrl-Alt-arrow is no longer blocked in Photoshop.

  • Shortcuts on the screen of welcome (Ctrl + Alt + Delete)

    Hi all

First of all, I hope this is the right subforum - otherwise, feel free to suggest better alternatives or move (Mods/Admins).

    So here's the deal:

My company has recently updated from XP Pro to Windows 7.

Since then, I had a big problem: I used to press Ctrl + Alt + Delete to open the Welcome screen (at least I was told it's called like that) and had a variety of shortcuts at hand to lock the computer, users of contactor, open Manager tasks etc.

On Win7, they seem to have disappeared - the buttons are still there and clickable, but just by pressing "T" will not open the task more for example Manager. (Pressing enter still works to lock the computer, but simply because it's the default selection).

I used these shortcuts a lot and would like to have them back.

Please do not try to suggest alternatives (Windows + L to lock, Ctrl + SHIFT + ESC key to taskmanager etc) - I know, but hate to use 5 different ones for simple tasks. I just want my old standards of return...

    See you soon,.

I had to do a full system recovery on my computer with Vista. Towards the end of installation screen is frozen on a blue screen which says that it was a single configuration screen and to ignore the messages etc. other than those who might ask you to restart.  This form has remained for more than 1 hour and a half before I dared to think that there might be frozen by pressing Ctrl-alt-delete and then cancel I could get the desktop to appear how I was responsible for approving some updates, more than 90 more.  Half of these updates failed, but future attempts had succeeded re installation. I also tried Microsoft Fix - It and the sfc/scannow not detected no problems. Any suggestions would be welcome.  Thank you.  Susan
