No more numbers at the bottom of page?

With older versions of Pages I could insert figures in the text of a note.  I've used this strongly to insert equations written with LaTexIt in text references.   But with the latest version, this has become impossible.  When I opened my old files with the new version Pages and the latest version of the operating system, the equation disappeared in the notes!  Horror!

Does anyone know how to insert a figure in a footnote Pages now?

I'm stuck with the new book that I write...

I'm almost tempted to switch to Word...

Pages ' 09 v4.3 and v5.6.2 Pages are entirely different applications with capacity of nearly 100 omitting the latter found in the old application. In the Pages v5.6.2, notes are text and objects can be placed behind, but not in their breast.

  • Number exhibitor at the bottom of page

Our model company requires that each note number exponent - not only in the body of the text, but in the note itself. Is there a way so that InDesign can make automatically exposing? I can do it manually, but I guess that there is a way for the numbers to be automatically exposed.

I use CS4 and am new with the program. I do not search the forum, but the only related responses did not say how to apply it to the number in the reference area, only the number in the body of the text.

I was going to say that it was quite easy, but actually turned out be super easy!

I'll assume you have a paragraph reference style dedicated - you don't want your notes to resemble your text.

    1. In this paragraph style definition, call the GREP Style Panel.
    2. Click on the button 'New GREP Style'
    3. A new item will appear in the GREP list; Click on the text [no] next to "Apply a Style" - it's actually a drop-down list.
    4. If you already have a character with just exposing style, you can select it here. otherwise, first make a by choosing "new character Style...". "downstairs, name it 'exposing' and have it only apply"exposing ".
    5. Click in the field next to "text" - its default value is '\d+', which means that the style would be applied to all numbers. Now tended to want to be exhibitor numbers, but... not all in the entire note! So, you'll have to imagine a way "only apply to numbers that are at the beginning of the note"... (which is, in fact, quite possible! And I'd be a Jongware happy to tell you how to remove this particular thing - but I digress. Sorry). The "super-easy" is because if you the do try to use '\d+', all the numbers at the bottom of page will be Exhibitor except reference numbers themselves! So why the "super easy"? Reference numbers have a unique code that is clean, so InDesign can follow and update when you insert or remove a note; GREP code for these is "~ F". So just delete the text that is in the 'text to' field and enter "~ F" inside (you mind, without the quotes - those who are just to indicate here the text to be inserted is just "~ F".) Oh Lordy now I did once again. No quotes needed).

... and all that's left for the Point #6 is to click OK to close the paragraph definition.

There you go: reference numbers superior automagic.

I created a form to complete 4 page in Acrobat. I would like to place a button at the bottom of page 4 when you click inserts another copy of the form in the existing file. I want the user to have the ability to easily create multiple copies of the same 4 pages in a single file. It is possible with Acrobat? I use a PC.

It is possible using models and JavaScript, but if it is to work with the player, users will need to use the desktop version (Windows/Mac) of 11 Reader or CD player. Here is a link to an older article which explains the basics: Planet PDF - a lesson in the templates for Adobe Acrobat

Note that this is a bit outdated, but it should help you get started. If you have any other questions, post them in the Acrobat JavaScript here forum: JavaScript

Sorry for what a quesiton of novice.

Yes even if they say that you can convert to a doessn can't word Document it keep the word line breaks and the line ends with a return.

You must do some editting before you can reuse.

Other applications (for Mac and can be the same for PC) who turns to the Office of the PDF document. I don ' know there if do it better:

    Nuance PDF Converter for Mac

    PDF2Office v6.0

    Solid PDF to Word

    Wondershare PDF Editor Pro

    They can do better.

It would be actually better so have a backup to: text.

This way when you open it in Word to automatically on formatting a Word Document if it was introduced, to a vacuum worrd Document.  You will always have to redo any design of forms.

Open your navigation bar, and then go to file > preview image. Select the export option 'GIF '. Select the eyedropper on the lower left corner and click the color you want to be transparent (probably white) in your illustration.

Click export at the bottom and and you should be in good shape!

  • Strange window/tab at the bottom of page... Locked by the employer!

My employer has this setting that creates a window in the bottom 1/3 of the firefox page. It is similar to the dev tool window but different.
Please help me to get rid of this.

In case one of your extensions creates this strange area, you can test the page Firefox Safe Mode? It is a standard diagnostic tool to disable some advanced features of Firefox and extensions. More info: questions to troubleshoot Firefox in Safe Mode.

You can restart Firefox in Mode safe mode using either:

    • button "3-bar" menu > "?" button > restart with disabled modules
    • Help menu > restart with disabled modules

Not all add-ons are disabled: Flash and other plugins still works

After stops in Firefox, a small dialog box should appear. Click on 'Start mode safe' (not reset).

    Any difference?

If this does not help, try to see again your plugins for a potential problem: the plugins that modify the user interface can cause problems when the option "prompt to activate." If they are useful, you can always set 'enable' and if you don't know what they are for, you can set it to "never activate. You will need to exit and restart Firefox back to see the effect.

You can manage your plugins on the page modules. Either:

    • CTRL + SHIFT + a
    • "3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Add-ons

In the left column, click on Plugins.

    (1) padding is only placed on the top and/or bottom of the divs. The elements contained in these divs have padding on their sides. This avoids any «mathematical model of box» Keep in mind, if you add lateral pads or border to the div itself, it will be added to the width that you set to create the * total width. You can also remove the padding of the element inside the div tag, and place a second div inside it with no width and padding necessary for your design.

    (2) no margin was given to the columns, because they all floated. If you need to add the margin, avoid placing on the side you're floating into (for example: a right margin on a div set to float to the right). Many times, padding can be used instead. For divs where this rule needs to be broken, you must add a statement of ' display: inline ' to the rule of the div to tame a bug where some versions of Internet Explorer double the margin.

    (3) given that the classes can be used several times in a document (and an element can also have several classes applied), the columns have received the names of classes instead of IDs. For example, two sidebar div could be stacked if necessary. These can easily be changed to the ID if that's your preference, as long as you don't use them once per document.

    (4) If you prefer your nav on the right instead of the left, simply float those columns as the opposite direction (straight instead of left all) and they will return in reverse order. There is no need to move the div in the HTML source code.

    Hello

The 'content' div's style to have 100px in height and visible from overflow. So the text overflows the div, but the footer "ignores" / ignore it is positioned after 'sidebar2 '.

Change the height of the 'content' to 100% and it should work.

    Kind regards

  • How to stretch content div at the bottom of page.

Summer messing around with my site so I had to create a new.

However, I can't stretch the div contained to the bottom of the page if the page does not meet the content text.

I have a footer at the bottom of the page that spans the entire width of the page, so I can't use the thing with the bottom of the body.

I found a large number of results on the internet, but it seems to me a little lost.

    Can someone help me?

    It's my HTML code:

And this is the CSS code:

/ * Tips for Elastic layouts
    1. Since the elastic layouts overall size is based on the user's default font size, they are more unpredictable. Used correctly, they are also more accessible for those who need larger fonts given the length of the line remains proportionate.
    2. sizing of the divs in this provision are based on 100% font size in the body element. If you decrease the overall size of the text by using a font size: 80% on the body element or the #container, remember that the complete provision will reduce proportionally. You can increase the widths of the divs to compensate for this.
    3. If the sizing of fonts is changed in different quantities on each div instead of on the overall design (ie: #sidebar1 is a font size of 70% and #mainContent has a font size of 85%), this will change proportionally each of the overall size of divs. You can adjust the base on your final sizing of fonts.

  • shadow at the bottom of page

    Hello

someone can help me with a problem on the creation of a banner and shadow to the bottom of the page? I got far, more or less finished, but I can't seem to get the gif of shadow to go to the bottom of the page automatically according to the browser! I created using two div images. Image 1 (top banner) is wrapper_01.gf and the shadow I'm going down to the bottom of the page wrapper_bg.gif.

I tried to change the values auto etc. but the gif (wrapper_bg.gif) of the shadow does not change? Here's what I have so far!

    http://www.pmrltd.co.UK/banner.html
(composed of two gif) shown here

    http://www.paragon360.com/example_01/banner.html

so, all I'm trying to do is get the shadow all go down and adapt to the page? can what I am doing wrong, please someone help

    Thank you

Because it is not a height the background appears that down the content that fills the div

    Do not use the height.

One way to do it is put wrapper_bg.gif as the background on the "body" tag (no body Div). and recovery are you the other graph

  • HOW TO KEEP THE TEXT AT THE BOTTOM OF PAGE BY USING JAVASCRIPT-RESPONDED

    UPDATE 12/05/2006: CODE MORE COMPATIBLE:
Used OnRequestEnd.cfm to load the info from the copyright at the bottom of each page, but the size of the varied settings page and copyright law appears at various points on the different pages. Didn't look well. Could not use tables to align the text of exit reasons. Coded way using CSS and JavaScript to keep the text at the bottom of each page. • How can I get the system to a print on a date at the bottom of page?

When I'm on an Internet site and ask for a print to page.
the date and time of print is no longer appears at the bottom right of the page.

Have you checked the header and Footer setting in printing (layout) options?

You may need to reset the printing preferences.
