No network card in Device Manager

Windows has started giving me BSOD about 2-3 weeks after the installation of new hardware (CPU, MoBo, RAM, sound card) with old hardware (GPU, power supply, HARD drive, more RAM). Why he gave me BSOD this long after the upgrade, I don't know, but I have an inkling that it may be due to a processor AMD will an Intel processor without reinstalling the operating system. I was also able to activate Windows (he has started to think it wasn't authentic) since slui.exe did not work. I changed the power supply because of the requirements of power increased and finally reinstalled the operating system and now have a new copy of Windows active and ready to go. No BSOD (so far) no driver issues, nothing went horribly wrong.

In this context, I present you my current problem: just before I reinstalled the operating system, when a backup of my data, I noticed that I couldn't connect to the internet. It showed I was connected to the LAN but no internet. I got hurt like that before, but it was either something I could fix it by resetting the adapter or the DSL down. I thought it was just another thing that turned bad in Windows and that a reformat/reinstall would fix it, as it does most of the problems.

The thing is, after reinstalling Windows, I noticed while I was installing drivers from the CD to the MoBo that the LAN driver was not clickable. I checked Device Manager and, of course, there was no topic network cards. Search the hardware changes do not work, and flashing the BIOS (via M-Flash) did not work.

Since the MoBo is around the age of two months, I believe it is not a hardware problem, but is there another possible explanation? I'm going to RMA this mid-September if there is no solution at this moment here.

My motherboard is a MSI 785GT-E63. I will give all necessary data to solve this problem. Thanks for all the advice I can get.

There is no unknown devices in Device Manager, I installed all the drivers for all my hardware. I even downloaded the latest drivers from MSI site, including the network adapter driver, which I installed it without result on another computer.

There is a setting to disable or enable the LAN, but it is set to 'Active '. I'm also leaning towards the network chip being broken due to overheating of the thought. It is a turn intermediate with a huge GPU and poorly ordered PCI/PCI-e slots. The single NIC that will fit must be PCI-e x 1 which are more expensive (about $30). I'm leaning toward move my computer to a larger Tower (the one currently resides in my brother's computer) or, as I've mentioned before, RMA'ing it.

Thank you for your response. I'll see if there are any other ideas or suggestions before the agreed time.

    Hello

    I use Toshiba Satellite L300-170.
I install Windows 7 and realized that my LAN connection does not work.

In Device Manager, I have only the wireless network adapter which works fine.
My question is: is - nothing I can install LAN adapter manually and then install driver although my OS does not recognize LAN adapter?

    Hi mate

First of all, please set the BIOS to default settings.
Then save changes, connect the LAN cable to the LAN port and reboot the device.
After that please check in Device Manager if the LAN Controller would appear once again.

AFAIK some newer laptops supports a new energy saving feature.
The LAN card is active and appears in Device Manager only if the LAN cable would be connected!

    Hello

You sent an email to Toshiba? I wonder how. The fact is that if you have problems with your laptop, then you should get in touch with a local ASP (certified partner) in your county and do not send an e-mail to Toshiba.

    Back to your question;
If I understand your question, the WLan card is not listed in the device under network adapters Manager; as unknown device or as a Ethernet controller.
    Is this correct?

Well, it means that the WLan card module is not recognized

There is no reason why you should disable one of them. Certainly not your adapter PCI ethernet, or your internet connection is also disabled.

  • Network cards - "this device cannot start." (Code 10)

I recently bought a new video card and in order to make it work, I got my BIOS and motherboard software updated (v9 to v20, a huge leap that I've apparently updated in 2012). After the update my new graphics card worked perfectly, but I ran into a problem with my network card.

At the start, my internet connection is broken. When I access the Device Manager, it shows me that network cards, specifically my Intel 82579LM Gigabit Network Connection has an alert, and the message is: "this device cannot start. (Code 10) ». Now, if I reboot either OR I right-click on Intel 82579LM Gigabit network connection, and then select Properties > advanced > value and select "Automatic Detection" or "Force Master Mode" it resets and I have access to the internet (at least until the next time I turn on my PC and there is no need to repeat the process). If I try this again, it breaks and I need to restart.

I guess I have to reinstall my drivers and to this end, I visited the site Web of Gigabit and downloaded PROWinx64.exe (as I am running Windows 7 64 - bit). However, I am reluctant to run where it worsens the situation. So I thought that I check first with the experts and make sure that I took the right course of action.

    Hi BigPappaDom,

In my opinion to get rid of this, you need to reinstall the display driver. I have checked the site of Toshiba Satellite P30 is no Vista driver available. This means that you must find yourself to get all the drivers. :(

I searched a bit and you should try to install the Satellite P200D display driver. She also equipped graphics card ATI and this driver must be compatible with your other oldest:

Hello, I'm trying to understand this for a long time, but I failed. I decided to sign up here and ask.

I have Windows 7 installed and fully upgraded, everything works like a charm, but in my device manager, I have two displayed graphics cards
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3400 Series (works well)
ATI Radeon HD 3200 Graphics (boot error, code 10 device) - well Yes, looked at the list of error codes MS, tried to update the drivers, nothing works

Screenshot of the Device Manager: http://img10.imageshack.us/img10/3290/radeon.png

My question is what is this second device because it does not work properly, so the other question is if it is possible to combine the two devices to get more power in the graphics (like ATI CrossFire)? And if someone could post a link to the drivers who will be the best for this chart I would really appreciate it!

    Thanks in advance!

    Hey,.

As far as I know on desktop it s normal behavior because the card will be installed as a primary and secondary card...
But in Device Manager shouldn't t no yellow exclamation point.

First you must make sure if more recent display of the official website of Toshiba driver is installed:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com > support & downloads > download drivers

If it doesn t work it would be interesting to know if you can see the same (yellow exclamation mark) on pre-installed OS from Toshiba.

  • Don't see sound card in Device Manager

    Hello

I installed today on my desktop - windows xp sp3 and all work well but I have 1 problem.

Before I installed windows xp sp3, I got windows xp sp2 and the work of audio device without a problem, so I doubt that it's a software failure.

Here is a picture of my device manager:

    http://i56.Tinypic.com/25aj31i.jpg

And I check my BIOS Office and there is no problem and the sound card is enabled.

I tried refreshing and the search for changes on the hardware in Device Manager and no change is
and also I tried to install the driver software and realtek chipset and unfortunately no hope with that.

    Kind regards.

    If directx has not helped,

then, the next thing I would try is to run a program called "autoruns" from microsoft.

then after that it scans the system, find the audio drivers 'all' and them disabled.

When I say 'everything', it may be that there is more than one driver or a corrupted or conflicting in your system.    something was mentioned involving realtek. so this is one of your objectives of drain plug, because it might be old or damaged or incompatiable.

Then reboot and see if windows detects the sound system.

If this is not the case, then have it search for a material via the Add/Remove Hardware Control Panel.

If it still does not work, then you can try to reinstall the drivers of the homesite.

If you have disabled the audio drivers via autoruns successfully, the re-installation may enter.

  • No output device and no sound card in Device Manager

Hello I installed today on my Acer 7520 G laptop Windows7, I was pretty happy with it much but I have 1 problem.

The arrival of the installation I had sound, but after windows updated itself the next time I got this done installed peripheral No. output message, I tried to reinstall the realtek drivers but no use, things to make it even worse, I can't find my sound card device in DEVICE MANAGER, it is as the sound card missing I had this problem on my Vista as well, but it worked after doing the system restore. Now even System Restore does not work, and I doubt that it is a hardware failure.

I tried refreshing and looking for changes on the hardware in the Device Manager, no use. S

    Kind regards.

    Hello Fafarona,

Can you tell what update may have caused the problem with your sound?
Did you try and update your sound card drivers again after updates?

You can try the following link: http://support.microsoft.com/gp/no_sound/

It has an automatic FIXIT who could help restore your sound. It does help more sound issues.

  • Blue indicator of Win 7 circle network ALSO hang Device Manager and MSE does not

I have a strange problem since the recent windows updates.

Indicator of network in the bar tasks displays a blue circle for about 20 minutes after I start the computer. During this time I can't run regedit, I can't open the Device Manager, and I can't seem to activate the protection in real time to Microsoft Security databases. However all the time I have internet and network access.
After about 20 minutes the light will come back normal (sometimes it goes through a Red Cross first), date at which the computer then runs everything normally, if I have my phone on, I get the auto run screen, Device Manager works and I can also start MSE.
It's as if the computer is waiting for something to happen. Device problem? However, all devices appear to work normally.
The latest updates, I made were optional for monitor HP and Microsoft mouse and a keyboard, both of which work well in the era of 'blue circle '.
I also tried updating the adapter software.
It is not important, but it's annoying!

    Hi Carmen,.

The blue circle on the network icon indicates that the system is looking for a network connection.

If it appears at the start, then start the modem and the router before you start the computer.

    Method 1:

Using the troubleshooter from network in Windows 7
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/using-the-network-troubleshooter-in-Windows-7

    Method 2:

    Step 1:

Check if the problem persists in safe mode with network.

    Check out the link:

    Startup options (including safe mode)

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/is-is/Windows7/advanced-startup-options-including-safe-mode

    Step 2:

If the issue is not still in safe mode, and then start the clean boot computer to determine if a third-party program is causing the problem. To configure your computer to clean boot see the following link.

How to perform a clean boot for a problem in Windows Vista, Windows 7 or Windows 8
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

Note: See "How to reset the computer to start as usual after a clean boot troubleshooting" under more information to prepare the computer to start as usual after a repair.

Also check the link for more information:

Important: When running chkdsk on the drive if bad sectors are found on the disk hard when chkdsk attempts to repair this area if all available on which data can be lost.

Note: The data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.

  • Extremely slow WRT54G navigation pages @ 192.168.1.1 - this could be a problem with network card?

Friend of mine is having the problems of Internet connection on his main PC which is hard wired to the router, it is using Comcast cable (18Mbit) and all of a sudden today the speed fell to dialup speeds, literally, however its ONLY this main with the issue of speed pc, there are 2 other computers connected wirelessly to the router, and they run at full speed during the test on speedtest.net

Solve the problem, I tried bypassing the router and still have the issue of speed, so I can pretty much rule out the router, but as part of my troubleshooting whenever I try to access the router configuration pages via 192.168.1.1 but it is VERY slow to respond.

For example when hitting enter after typing 192.168.1.1 it takes about 45 seconds to view the router configuration page, and then clicking on any other tabs takes 30-45 seconds longer to respond.

So my main question with this post, is it possible that its network card went bad? What would cause really slow access to the configuration of the router?

The PC is under Win 7 Ultimate 32 bit and Ive tried to run the network troubleshooter, uninstalled the network card in Device Manager / reinstalled the drivers but nothing seems to work.

I also ran Malware Bytes and the analytical results were clean.

    Any ideas appreciated!
