I just bought a Linksys WRT160N router and the first task to load the program on my main computer has already encountered an obstacle. It says it cannot find a network adapter on my computer and I need to allow. My card work as I am on the net right now, with my internet cable directly ito my computer. My old router (Netgear) had no problem with the NIC either. Any ideas?
If you use the Setup disk, the throw, it does not. Connect through the wire to your router and go on 192.168.1.1 with empty user name, admin password and configure your router manually.

SQLPlus command 'COPY' use connect identifiers, not the db links.

Several physical NIC cards connected to vSwitch / Port Group
Hello
I have several physical NETWORK adapter on a host connected to a single vSwitch / port group, does this mean that the speed of the network is shared by all of the physical NIC, or I have to do something special to enable this feature?
Please see attached .jpg
Thanks in advance.
If all of your network adapters is active in the nic teaming configuration, you must have a physical switch that supports the aggregation of links and you must configure it. The ESX itself does not have this kind of work.
Actually is a bad idea to let all NICs connected without having to configure the nic teaming (1 active and others waiting for failover) or without going through the aggregation of links.

Looking for the right place to post, so if my post does not belong here, please let me know where.
The problem:
Updated to 8.1 Fusion Fusion 7 where I had a Windows XP Pro. After the merge upgrade I have upgraded to Windows 7 and followed the steps in the video by Stephen Gardner based on "upgrading a virtual machine VMware Fusion of Windows XP to Windows 7 (1015396).
After the removal and the reinstallation of the network card I have no network connection.
I tried to disable the Windows Firewall on the virtual machine and I gave permission to Fusion App and start App to run in the Norton Firewall on Mac.
I uninstalled and reinstalled VMware tools and tried different settings for the network card, but nothing gave me the connection to the network
Anyone else has this problem, or can tell me how to fix?
Thanks in advance.
Fusion 8.1.1 upgrade solved the problem.

Hi all
I have a copy of my DC prod and a few servers on the host esx5 I created a single vswitch (no assigned network card). Besides all the vms on the isolated vswitch laboratory has no (empty) assigned default gateway ip address. Security measure. Let me explain briefly... everything is good so far... .but to access virtual machines on isolated vswitch, I need to connect to vcenter console to virtual machines. It's ok but very slow heavy and slow ...
I thought to create that a virtual machine allows to call him my rdp Server I'll rdp on prod, then this machine virtual, I'll rdp on vms on isolated network lab. configuration of the server rdp as follows.
I assigned 2 network cards to the rdp Server (to connect to prod vswitch network and another vswitch isolated), now my question is this secure? which means in any way I want my isolated vms on vswitch lab test connect to servers of prod, this woulkd be a nightmere. As I am unable to ping test prod servers from computers virtual lab, and I wasn't expecting to. remember as a precautionary measure, I do not use a gatewate desktop virtual lab and I can only ping the server rdp... .so far so good
Please let me know thoughts or maybe someone has put in place in the past...
Thank you
Yes it's course - internal traffic only network is isolated from the network of productin you - that traffic will come out is if place a router between the two networks

How can I get the VM NIC to connect to 1000 as the NIC host done?
I had save a Windows 2000 Server. I went with networking networking to give it it's own IP address on the network. However, the driver for the CARD it wants to use is different from the host NIC and will only work at 10 Mbps instead of 1000. If I install the driver in Device Manager, it does not work. How can I return the 1000 Mbps?
Thank you!

Connection to the AOP with several NIC data store
I have a situation where I need to have the computer that is running the tiara to be connected to two different networks. I have two NIC installed in the machine, NIC A and B NIC, we will call them. The reason for this is that I use Diadem to access the server on a machine of AVL PUMA AO. If I connect to the local network PUMA, PUMA sometimes breaks down, probably something to do with the IP address. So PUMA has need to be on a network that is not a router. My tiara computer must communicate with PUMA, as well as with local shared drives on our corporate network.
In any case, I have the company LAN hung on A NIC and hung on NIC B PUMA network. Tiara fails to connect when the two networks are connected, but connects to the data store no problem when that network PUMA is hung. Any ideas how to solve this problem? It seems tiara is looking for NIC - A instead of NIC B, as appropriate.
For reference, when the two NIC is connected, I can access other than readers, and separate computers to ping on both networks, without problem, is not a connection problem.
Any help would be appreciated.
-Russ
I guess poth NIC have different IP.
-Did you use IP instead of the server name.
-Do you use RPC or CORBA to access the PUMA Server?
-What version of DIAdem.
You can create a log file when the connection has failed?
Greetings
Andreas

No cos found NIC error starting pxe for ESX 4.0
Hello
I am facing the following problem when trying to boot PXE Vmware Vsphere (ESX 4.0). I'm stuck at the error message which said 'no cos NICS found' Please find attached to this screenshot.
I would like to briefly on what I'm trying to do here:
I try to perform a boot PXE Vmware Vsphere on Vmware Workstation and have managed to a point, until I get this weird error mentioned above.
(1) used Vmware Workstation version is 6.5.0
(2) confg H/W:
Lenovo T61 laptop computer with processor intel core duo x 86 and virtualization enabled in BIOS
delivered with 2 physical network cards & wireless and 2 GB of RAM.
(3) PXE server is running on RHEL5 32 bit platform. I have a DHCP, Kickstart and PXE server to run out of this box. DHCP works perfectly well without any problem but when it is a step for the identification of the host name.
IP and so forth he said cos NICs not found and I see my dhcp server attempts to assign dynamic IP and it also displays no signal thank you.
I have PXE starts ESX 3.5 with no problems and it worked like a charm. This is the first time, I ran into problems of this kind. I manually installed ESX 4.0 but it seems no more using the anaconda Installer and
the installation of the Poles kickstart file created is very discreet and does not contain sufficient information to customize the script is below.
Please find the entry that I have under the pxelinux.cfg directory on my PXE server:
label esx4.0
kernel esx4.0 - vmlinuz
append initrd = esx4.0 - initrd.img mem = 512 M quiet ks = FTP:///pub/kickstart/ESX4.0.cfg ksdevice = vmnic0
I'm also willing to share my script to start with you. Please find attached the script below. Kindly let me know how to proceed further. I would be really grateful if you could suggest if any changes to do to my
startup script.
See you soon,.

I get the error message "Untrusted connection" for a site I visit every day with the only option being "get out me of here!" I use Firefox version 39.0 and have Windows 8.1. I found a thread indicating how to solve this problem by removing the file cert8.db. I have used this method before and it worked then but it didn't this time. Tried to look elsewhere for help, but what I saw spoke of the time / date being off. However mine are correct sentence. Any help would be much appreciated.
