No options display in the regions and languages of Windows 7 Home Premium.

Hello

I need a support from you,

I bought a setrday tour here in Germany with Windows 7 Home Premium. But it came with Deutsch as a base language that I have no idea how work with the menu of the screen of welcome and all in German and I'm on pain. I am an Indian and working with the English and not able to find an option called 'Display language' keyboard and languages to change the display language tab. How if I could do that. Help, please.

The ability to change the language is one of the features that distinguishes the pinnacle of the cheaper versions - product differentiation. Like any company Microsoft have the right to charge what they want for their products. Their websites explain this, for example:

http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/products/compare?T1=tab15

I fear that it is a case of caveat emptor.

You might try sweet-talking to the company you bought the laptop from giving you an English version, purchase an English version or Ultimate.

Good luck.   :)

    It's really frustrating.

First thing, I looked for. The "Share With" was not there either. Abandoned and went the long way on this subject for that to be resolved more quickly.

A disk image backup, re-installed Windows 7 and found the ntshrui.dll keys in the registry and it has exported to my office. Restore the disk image and import the key in my registry.
All back to normal now. Tab share is present. Problem solved.
  • Why isn't the local users and groups in Windows 7 Home Premium active?

Unfortunately, the page of "Compare editions" for Windows 7 does not show that it is disabled for Windows 7 Home Premium.  So, I think that Microsoft is engaged in false advertising by activating only not this snap-in Control Panel.

Bottom line is: I need to access the Panel to ensure that I am in the Visual Studio debugger users group.  So, I can't debug anything.  The software does not work properly.

Microsoft should immediately activate this feature.

I'm sorry, but no original version of Windows has always included local users and groups .

I recommend posting your question in the MSDN Visual Studio Forums , where other developers can answer. They know how to do what you want.

  • Language on Windows 7 Home Premium

Hello. While living in Spain, I had my two PC set to update from Windows XP Pro. for Windows 7 Home Premium. They have both worked very well. I now moved back to the United Kingdom. All the furniture etc inc PC have been put in storage. No 14 months later I got the PC to play, but found one was not open Windows. After you have found the disc in Windows 7 box. I started to install with everything provided Spanish disc was OK until I found I couldn't change the installation in English. Once more Microsoft poking upward the bettor as having paid money very good to have a so-called Microsoft Repairer or whatever. I then checked with Microsoft.  You all probably know the answer. I have to buy an another Windows 7 Home Premium in English.  Any suggestions on their the that to go back to XP.

Option 1: You can download Windows 7 Home Premium English or borrow an English Home Premium from Windows 7 disk and use your product key to install and activate it. If you can not get a CD-ROM of Windows 7 Home Premium, you could borrow another edition of Windows 7 in English as professional retail, complete edition, Home Basic edition or full upgrade or OEM System Builder disk and create a disc of a whole that will allow you to install Home Premium English.

  • To spend on the possibilities of WiFi in Windows 7 Home Premium

I have a notebook from Medion MD 98550, with Windows 7 Home premium installed. The performance was great, but then gave up my hard drive, so I got a new installed. Since then, the integrated WiFi capability is turned off and I just can't turn it on:

-The internal wifi card seems fine as it is fully read by Windows, but a Red Cross is displayed and a message "not connected".

-In the Net work of the adopter properties, "the device is functioning.

-Network adopting diagonostics returns 'possibilities of WiFi are turned off.

-Fn + F7 does nothing, the WiFi light remains also remain off.

-My laptop has no external button for this purpose.

-Windows Mobility Center does not provide a solution.

-BIOS offers only 2 options: "Disable" and "like standing." Of course, my only choice to select is this one. (There is no option 'Activate')

-A card WiFi external, if plugged into the USB port, works very well.

Also the web built in cam, as well as the touch screen zoom function stand out too, perhaps the result of a common reason/problem.

I'm sure that Microsoft / Microsoft Community can help you.

    Alamgir

    Hi Alamgir,

Thanks for posting your question in the Microsoft Community Forums.

You may encounter network or problems of Internet in Windows for several reasons. Some common problems that can cause these problems are:

-A switch to wireless network adapter that is not enabled.

-WEP, WPA or WPA2 key or password security issues.

-The cables are not connected properly.

    -Corrupt or incompatible drivers.

    -Missing updates.

    -Network connection settings.

    -Hardware or software problems.

Networks rely on complex technology, in order to diagnose the cause of a network problem can often be a difficult task. For example, if you are unable to access a Web site, you will see an error message, but the message may not necessarily very useful since it will not usually identify the exact problem. The problem may be caused by a number of problems with your computer, the web server or the network between your computer and the web server.

Follow these methods and check if that helps.

    Method 1.

To the question of the integrated webcam, you can try the fn + F9 key and check if that helps. In addition, you can run the hardware troubleshooter, and check the status.

Follow the link given to open the Hardware Troubleshooter: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/Open-the-Hardware-and-Devices-troubleshooter

For the touch screen zoom function, you can update the display driver and check if that helps.

  • Pack of Estonian language of Windows 7 Home Premium

I have a Windows 7 Home Premium in English and I would like to change in Estonian. But it is true that Windows 7 Home Premium does not (yet) support Estonian pack (MUI and LIP), Web sites even tell that?

Only Windows 7 Ultimate and Enterprise Edition supports language packs. Estonian is one of the available languages. The Ultimate upgrade is usually the best option in these circumstances because it allows you to switch between languages in the future without other expenses (& you get the other features of ultimate). Last year, I bought a HP Mini 110 series laptop running Windows 7 Starter. I'll tell you the real story, months later, the operating system does not load. Before that, I bought the Windows Anytime Upgrade Windows 7 Home Premium. Days later, the DVD arrived from Microsoft. After the operating system does not load, I called HP support and said the problem of my laptop. And then when the OS does not load, and I had to perform a recovery on this piece of *. Can use a work card, or do I have to call microsoft? Just give me an answer, and NO pirated keys or I point out the text

You can do a upgrade Express from Windows 7 Starter to Windows 7 Home Premium.

Windows 7 - upgrade Express features:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/products/features/Windows-Anytime-Upgrade

If you are in Australia, Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom and the United States, you can use anytime upgrade. If this isn't the case, you will need to purchase the version of Windows 7 you want.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/products/Windows-Anytime-Upgrade

First of all, check that the edition of Windows 7, you are upgrading is already enabled (if it isn't, you will encounter complications and that you might start all by performing a clean installation). Click Start, type Anytime Upgrade, click the option to purchase a key. Wait while loading of the Express Upgrade page, click on the Windows 7 Home Premium Upgrade to buy it.

Click Next, fill in your details (it is important that you do this because the product key will be sent to you as a backup in case you need to reinstall) enter your credit card information, click next to begin the upgrade, wait while checking the key, accept the license agreement , click upgrade, wait while the software updates, (it may take 10 minutes or more, depending on the case, updates are required), your computer restarts automatically, after the reboot, Windows 7 will notify its update of the computer, the computer will restart once more automatically and will be completed the upgrade, a windows will pop up by notifying the upgrade was successful and your computer is ready to use, click Close, you should be upgraded to Windows 7 Home Premium, your files, programs and settings stored, proceed to activate Windows 7 Home Premium.

  • Is there a way to see the old chkdsk log on windows 7 Home premium?

You know, when you run the command CHKDSK's BACK to Windows 7 Home Premium at the end it is a summary of the results.  But the summary is only visible for a few monents (not long enough to actually read) and then the system moves to open a Windows session.  Is it possible to display these results once you are in the WIndows environment?  Some kind of log file that can be referred to?  I'm talking specifically of the complete CHKDSK with both the boxes checked

  • I want to back up the files on my computer Windows 7 Home Premium to my window 7 Professiional with XP mode

I normally like to keep the files from my old computer to a backup drive and just drag individual files from this drive on my new computer. It will not work from a folder of encrypted file. On XP, I was able to drag the files on the old office and then on the backup drive. With Windows 7, everything I have on the desktop when I try it is short without the real files. Is there a way to create a backup of Windows 7 Home Premium, which is not encrypted?

Thank youl mine seems to be the opposite, but your response has been the key. Because I was with a left click, I used a right click and got a menu. Move it that icon has been highlighted, so I moved to files and clicked and copied the files! Thanks again!
