No output through headphones on Satellite A210

Hi forum,

My Satellite A 210 came back 2 travel of repair on the sound card.
They changed the motherboard altogether.
The speakers work again.

I tested the connection headphone via the "sound" part and with the helmet on the control panel and it works.

However, when I play a cd, for example, it only passes through the speaker even when the headset is connected.
The helmet gets no noise at all.
There must be some tweak somewhere to get the sound in the headphones and only by it.

Help, please.
Pier

Strange but seems to be resolved

Bye the way. Check in the control panel-> Realtek HD audio manager an option above the micro and headphones.
There is a folder icon. Activate this option!

    Hello

The screenshot you posted in your display shows the audio properties of HDMI port! This has nothing to do with the headphone or microphone jack

Of course much or some laptops are equipped with a headphone jack that offers a (digital) audio output SPDIF additional, but has nothing to do with HDMI.

However, if you want to know if your computer laptop headphone s support s/pdif, consult your user manual. It is worth mentioning so popular helmet provides an output too much audio digital.

  • Need the original BIOS for Satellite A210 - 1AO PSAELE

    Hi all!

long in vain looking for the original BIOS for my satellite A210-1AO PSAELE-03Q00FRU (Vista32bit preinstalled).

Unfortunately I've updated and laptop lost the ability to disable.
VERY noisy DWD - ROM (TS-L632H) through the BIOS (but it worked without a doubt with the original BIOS)
It is also impossible to turn it off through the Device Manager (tried several times).

I looked for BIOS anywhere where I could (Yes, I tried to download & support from Toshiba for Europe, USA, Canada, China, Russia - no. satellite A210 PSAELE BIOS in lists, even for the A200 PSAELE).

Written in support of the Russia of Toshiba - no result. the point is that I don't know bios original version for my model, so I tried BIOS version 1.1, 1.4, 1.5, 1.8, 1.9, 2.0, 2.3 - no result.
The latest idea is to physically remove the DVD-ROM, but it is the solution.

So where can I find that BIOS? or you recoomend a truly customer friendly toshiba can support office?
    Thanks in advance!

    Symptom:
Keys is de-energized or gives wrong output. The problems occurs randomly, either right at startup or after availability. Looks like it's a hardware related issue and not a problem with the OS. The problem occurs in several OS´s and even in the BIOS-meny. None of the solutions posted in this forum / other items solves the problem.

The battery is not a solution (as suggested in other posts), the problem reoccurs after availability and sometimes even right to restart the computer. (Et laisse le visage, un ordinateur portable sans une batterie est un _stationary_) =)

No! It's not overheating and heat issue, this problem may occur at startup after a powerdown complete with battery and power removed. (and no, this isn't a problem of dust or a problem of broken / lack of cooling-fans/ventilation)

I use the lates for my model BIOS, so make a habit/flash-update of the bios to solve the problem.
Default factory restore is not a solution either, but _différemment_ ive tried, even if this problem most def is a hardware problem.

All the other solutions suggested by other posters solves the problem (most of them software related bugs in any case).

    Comments:
The problem started recently enough (ive had this laptop for about a year and a half) and judging by the other posts in this forum seams problem began on the same date/time to a suspect that he is a "calendar/clock" related question... but I'm not an expert and it's just a hunch (would explain why some users may experience a temporary "I solved the problem by changing keyboard-calendar" - euporia until) what they ecounter problem once again after a time of ).

The problem arises _completely_ radom and under any given the cirumstance...

    Any suggestions?

  • Satellite A210 - 16G: position of changing cooling fans

    I bought the laptop Toshiba Satellite A210 - 16G.
    There is very little success.
I didn't realize all the fans and heating when buying and now I have a lot of problems with it.

It is fan is under the laptop and the fan distributes air through the left side of the laptop.
I am left handed and I still have my hand burned with hot air.

    My question is:

Can any laptop computer technician change the fan to the most powerful fan?
Is this normal or is a fan is not editable on any laptop?

Because the air that is ventilated but the left side is too hot for my left hand.
It's bad so after using this laptop too long too hot air.

If it is not possible to change, so I guess I should change a laptop, right?

    Hey Buddy

    I have the A210 too

I'm 100% sure that the change in position of the cooling module is not possible
I mean the motherboard, s laptop covers and other internal devices obtained precise Assembly and structural and this form is not editable

I guess you have the mouse on the left and therefore you can feel hot air coming from the fan left
Good man, to be honest, most of the portable was equipped with fans that are placed on the left because right you will always find a cooling CD/DVD drive Bay, and there is no extra space for cooling modules

In your case I recommend to use an external USB keyboard and possibly you could move the cell forward in order to avoid any contact with hot air

  • Satellite A210: Fact of recovery - lack of data on the E drive

My laptop is Toshiba Satellite A210.
Through training the sales package is a system recovery with factory settings.
Now a Virgin pure hate, or even delete what was NOT on the system drive.

I tried to restore the information through various programs (R-Studio, FileRecovery, etc.). I found the files, but an attempt to restore grants that size 0 bytes.
    I cry and I m very sad.

How to return information from the E drive?
Windows Vista Home Premium operating system.

    Hello

Using the recovery DVD everything will be deleted from the HARD drive.
And if I say everything I mean everything. All partitions, the data, the files will be deleted.

Sorry, but I don t think you will be able to restore files deleted using common software
Perhaps a specialist would be able to restore it but it s always about money, you know I think that this rescue procedure is not cheap.

    Hello

Go to Device Manager and remove the sound card in the list of devices.
Also, remove the Microsoft UAA bus driver for high definition in system devices.
    Restart the unit.
Wait until windows has recognized the two devices once again and then check again the sounds play

  • Satellite A210-171: need XP display driver

    Hello

I bought Equium A210 with Microsoft Windows Vista... I some how manage to get drivers Wireless LAN for XP but I don't know where to find the display drivers please someone tell me...

Thanks a lot, I really need to do so much work and its just crashes me...

    Thank you

Well, I checked Toshiba European page and there is not a lot of drivers XP for Equium A210.
But don t you worry man. I think that you are not lost ;)

As far as I know, that this device supports ATI Radeon X 1200 graphics card.

Some units of the Satellite A210 series were equipped with the same graphic card.
So please check the Satellite A210 series (there are different so go through A210 all singles series) and try some graphics drivers ATI posted on the European driver Toshiba page.

    These drivers must run.

My Satellite A210 connects wireless very well, but every time I use the phone wireless Internet Explore stops.
It is said that the Wifi was disconnected, but in fact, the connection is good.

    Hello

This happen using the connection to the local network too?

What you could do is to update the driver WLan and check if you are using the latest version of the BIOS.
Two updates could improve your question.

  • Coffee spilled on my satellite A210-171

I wasted half a cup of coffee on my satellite A210-171. The screen flickered then went black but the power light stays on. It off and left on the side near a radiator.
Intend to leave it for a few days, but the suspense is killing me.

Please someone reassure me that there is some sort of membrane under the keyboard or it detects somewhat fluid and it will be ok!

I like my laptop and it s the thing more expensive I ever bought :(:(

    All advice welcome

According to me, the liquid into the laptop is the worst thing that can happen. If the liquid reached mainboard there is nothing you can do about it.
A friend of mine spilled coke on keyboard, but not so much and just keyboard was destroyes.

    > He entered through the keyboard and perhaps also the speakers
It looks bad for me. I recommend you seek professional assistance. Contact the closest service to check your laptop. But if the screen flickered then went black, it may be too late.

  • His record game, I can get sound through headphones

I can't get sound through headphones and not on the computer

First of all, what PC model do you use?

    Desktop or laptop computer?
You can try to check what audio output device is set as default
To do this, right-click on the Volume icon control near the clock
Choose playback devices in the list
If there is a speakerphone option, select it and click on set as default.
It would also be possible that you need updated for your sound card drivers.
or if it's a desktop PC. It cannot have a built-in speaker. Thus, headphones or external speakers might be your only option.
