No Partition Recovery on computer laptop dv6

I have a Pavilion dv6-3155dx with windows 7 Pro 64-bit SP1.  I removed my recovery partition and now he want to come back.  I made the recovery disc but since then, I partitioned the hard drive and now there system, C:, unallocated Tools HP and 9MB.  I do not know I did something wrong to end up with the 9MB unallocated partition. How can I get rid of the 9MB partition?  Hard drive is 500 GB.

I tried to recover my hard drive at the factory, but he didn't create the recovery partition and it wasn't an option for the factory resets or reduced to a minimum installation.  He immediately comes loaded files and windows and programs on the C: drive.  So my question is how do I retrieve the recovery partition?   If I had to format all of the 500 GB that I would be able to boot from the recovery DVDs and I would be able to retrieve the recovery partition?  Or I have to buy the replacement of HP discs and if I do these discs will create the recovery in other Partition partitions as originally from the factory?

I want the recovery Partition I want to pass on this laptop to someone and make it easy for them to retrieve windows if it becomes necessary.

Thanks for any help or you advise.

Hi, John.

That is right. E HP recovery disks will restore the PC to its "out of the box' condition including re-create the recovery partition."

You can see if this FAQ contains information you need regarding instructions for use the recovery disks.

http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c01883653

Essentially on some allow you to make a full recovery (OS, all programs and features installed) as well as a single OS recovery for those who do not want all the unwanted extra.

Some you have no other choice. It's all or nothing.

All recovery disk sets I've ever used has given me no option.

So there wasn't a lot to understand. Pop in the startup disk and follow the prompts.

  • How to enable AHCI mode on computer laptop dv6-7280eb

    Hello

I just replaced my old hard drive to a new evo 840 Samsung SSD.

It's a laptop DV6-7280eb HP with windows 8.1 on it.

Software Wizard Samsungs tells me that AHCI is disabled.

If I look at Device Manager storage controllers it says Mobile Intel Express Chipset Sata RAID controller.

PC Wizard 2014 tells me this:

Disk controller: Intel 82801HM (ICH8M) 3 port SATA i/o Controller cc = RAID
    Mode: RAID
    AHCI: Yes
    Legacy IDE: Yes
    NCQ: Yes
    Port multiplier: No.
    eSATA: No.
    I/o ports: 1 available on 6
    AHCI Version: 1.30
    Bandwidth: 6 Gb/s

So is my question, possible to put in AHCI and RAID mode not?

    THX in advance

No, but you don't need to worry about this. RAID is fully compatible with a single SSD drive and provide the same benefits for the SSD as AHCI. It's really AHCI RAID where the AHCI = "yes".

  • computer laptop dv6-6023tx: properties of the unknown - Driver ACPI\HPQ0004 drivers

    Hello

I recently had to install a new HDD in my laptop HP dv6-6023tx as the old unit has failed.  (Model No. LR733PA #ABG)

I installed Windows and all the drivers that I can find, but I seem to be a lack...

I always get an "unknown device" which shows details such as "ACPI\HPQ0004".

Can you help me with the correct driver for this problem

    Thank you

If you had used the support of HP recovery when you first set up your computer, you should not need to manually install the drivers for all of the unknown material. Since it seems that you have installed a generic copy of Windows, you will need to download and install several drivers of the HP Pavilion dv6-6023tx Entertainment Notebook PC - software and driver page. The specific driver for your problem should be ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp64001-64500/sp64144.exe

  • computer laptop dv6-612tx of hppavilion: size of the installed ram

I am Agnes... .i am using a computer hp pavilion dv6-612tx laptop... I have a size of ram of 4 GB of origin with the product... but today, recently I gave the lappy to a store aimed a cleaning after I got my lappy when I see the system information in my computer that I could see that the installed ram is 2.45 only...? My question is will show 4 GB ram ram of 4 GB installed or 2.45 only? Please tell me quickly

    Hello @Hemanth17,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I read your post about the size of the memory installed showing incorrectly on your dv6612tx Pavilion laptop and wanted to reach out to you.

At the right amount showing before you had the system cleaned? What's the memory installed value that is incorrect or available memory?

If the system displays 4GB but 2.54 GB usable, the system recognizes that the memory is installed, but retains little memory for the physical operations.

It is possible that the maximum memory is enabled. To change this, you need to go into the System Setup and check the Advanced tab startup options.

You can also try the tests for a hardware problem or remove and reinstall the memory using the procedure described in the Service Manual (page 53) If you feel that there is a problem of physics with the memory.

Please let me know how it goes. If this helps you to find a solution, please click on the button accept as Solution down below in this message.

    Thank you!

  • Analyze the error "C:\Windows\Panther\unattend.xml" after the recovery attempt (computer laptop gateway)

I had a problem, which lead to the other. I'll just show what I posted in the other thread. Thus, I have provided the link for reference.

This is the excerpt from this thread: http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en/vistawu/thread/a42818dc-4037-4551-aaa4-bc1330d4203b?prof=required

"Well, then taking your advice, I found the software to restore the computer to its original state. I save all of his documents and then run the restore process. Should be no problem right?

NOPE! It installed fine, and now it is stuck in an ANOTHER infinite boot loop! (This laptop must love restart all the time).

So yes, this is what he does now.

It starts normally with the typical screen of Vista (the puke green bar fly across the screen). Then it comes up with the screen blue-green pretty fancy, and it says "Please wait while Windows continues to set up your computer...". »

Right now, it comes up with this box beautiful error "Windows could not parse or treat [C:\Windows\Panther\unattend.xml] unattended Setup answer file. The answer file is invalid. "with the OK" "button. You click on 'OK', it stops and then restarts, shows the same message.

I tried Googling this error, but nothing of the suite of solutions my situation. Ugh! Of course, I can't get back into windows and simply stop and start the restore process again.

Just so that you know it's a she is a Windows Vista Home Premium 64 - bit SP1 OEMAct gateway.

    http://support.gateway.com/s/software/MICROSOF/Vista/7515418/7515418su531.shtml

Above is how the gateway recovery is supposed to work.

    Also, try this:

Try using a good Microsoft Vista DVD (not Dell, HP, etc).
A good Vista DVD contains all versions of Vista.
The product key determines which version of Vista is installed.

There are 2 disks of Vista: one for 32-bit operating system, and one for 64-bit operating system.

If install a cleaning is required with a good DVD of Vista (not HP, Dell recovery disks):

Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu

  • Computer laptop dv6 Pavilian: I need the original operating system for a Pavilian model dv6 dv6 1355dx

I have upgraded to windows 10 and did not like it and tp attempt to restore the computer and accidentally erased my original windows 7. I then bought and installed windows 7 64 bit and the computer does not work properly; I need now the drive of 32-bit windows 7 original.

    Hello;

Let me welcome you on the HP forums!

I wish I had some good news for you, but I did not...

Ordinarily, I advise to use HP recovery media to restore your PC to its original state. That would erase the entire disk, format the drive and install the operating system, drivers and utilities HP.

Unfortunately, there is no support of HP recovery related to HP for your PC Product Page. This means that the stock HP is no longer the recovery media for your PC. They store any long recovery media for older PCs.

Given that HP no longer provides a recovery media for your model, a few other sites, you should check are: http://www.computersurgeons.com/ and http://www.restoredisks.com/

    Good luck

  • I have a computer laptop dv6-6167tx and I just wanted to ask if I could update its graphics.

    Product: Hp pavilion dv6-6167tx

    OS: Windows 7 64-bit

    Memory: 4 GB

    GPU: Radeon HD 6490M

    Hello

Unlike desktop computers, graphics upgradding on the laptop is not easy as walking in a park, difficult, expensive, or even impossible depending on how we look at it:

    (a) for the graphics card (including integrated card) which is welded to the montherboard/system board, we can just say: buy a new machine.

    (b) for the graphics card dedicated: basically we can but find map MXM is one thing, the upgrade of cooling system is another thing, and this may required more power to the power supply... Total cost could be equal to buy a new machine.

    Hope it makes sense.

  • graphic problem with computer laptop dv6-3123tx

I have hp dv6 with ati radeon graphics card 3123tx round 5650. I've recently upgraded to win 8 and now I cudn switch on the ati graphics driver, I tried the Device Manager screen becomes black. Can someone help out me.

PS: I did a full install of windows 8 (I did not go to win7) so all of my software hp disappeared. I have not "graphics switching option" as well

At this time, HP will have to create an official switchable graphics for switchable graphics to work properly. This is because Windows 8 use a different display driver architecture.

I can't guarantee this works, but you can try the steps listed in this post.

  • relocation of the agars recovery on computer laptop girls. Windows Vista Basic. Will not install correctly.

Had to reinstall Windows Vista Basic on my laptop now girls probably 4 or 5 times over the past year.  A question is we get full and you get to a screen that says not to interrupt and cela will take a few minutes, which, on an attempt, I let it run all night and never went.  Finally, just let it load and put an end to the function and let him simply use the laptop.  Then after a few moments to use his laptop begins to freeze.  So, I have to go and try to reinstall its OS.

If you restore so frequently, or at all, someone is something fundimentally incorrect and visit places / download infected files.

Recover PC to factory specifications, winupdate turn off "recommended updates", but allow critical updates. Consult the manufacturer of your laptop and see if there are recommended updates shown there.

Install a decent Anti Virus, MS Security Essentials is free. Do this before you install any programs or connect to the scocial network sites
