After reactivation, I tried to configure e-mail so she could check her Hotmail, but the Setup Wizard shows only one option - business with Exchange email. I know when I use to use the storm myself, I got the Hotmail and a POP e-mail account set up with no problems. What is a device problem or a problem of carrier? I had Bell activate the storm on a BlackBerry data plan (200 MB) minimal and the phone seems to work correctly (as a phone, at least!)

  When I trace (_bigTurrShot._missile.bitmap) I get [object bitmap] so it is not upward with the null value when it's mapped. Everything seems to be OK in the other code I have for it, anyone have any idea why I get the errror?

  It is reactionary and not very elegant but check if the object is not null before accessing its property. If _collision.checkMissiles(_bigTurrShot._missile.bitmap); is giving the null object error, try

  Since Friday, I was unable to take a phone call for more than 20 seconds and not able to send text messages. The call fails each time exactly 10 or 20 seconds. This requires that the call is incoming or outgoing. I tried to pull the battery and that solves the problem temporarily, but it usually returns in about 5 minutes. I am able to receive text messages.

  Thanks for the advice, I visited the Bell shop today and they recommended a new SIM card. This solved my problem.

  I am the owner of a BlackBerry Curve 8520 user. I am based in Trinidad and Tobago. I have connected E-mail three suppliers, tstt/outlook express/google handset, yahoo mail and Hotmail.

  The handset is synced with my computer. I run Windows XP Pro SP3.

  My camera has worked perfectly up until a week ago I noticed that emails from three suppliers mentioned above began to appear in my list of phone call. Most of them do not go to their respective places, or if they do, should I try to remove from the list of calls they are also deleted from their respective places. It is now a gene as e-mail does not appear in the list of calls. At least it's never happened before.

  I will be really grateful if assistance can be given through your forums to alleviate the problem.

  I searched here and on the Blackberry website and can't seem to find one easy way (or another) to remove the BBM on my phone.  Almost every app I downloaded another is VERY easy to remove if unwanted, why is abduction of BBM such a big secret?  It gives me flashbacks to Windows 98 and the HUGE concern, it was to get rid of some software.  Why can't it be just one option "delete!"

  OK... EasyForYou way worked for me before... try it.

  Use your BlackBerry browser to go to http://blackberry.com/blackberrymessenger and download/install again the Messenger application.

  This should make the BBMessenger app an add-on application that can be removed.

  Then, go to Options > Applications > Add on and go to the mail app and click on it, just highlight it. Click Menu > delete and remove the application.

  After the removal, you may need to restart the device again.

  It's hopeless.  Neither Bell or Blackberry can do anything. The phone can be unlocked and even changed the IMEI number.  I'm still angry at Blackberry to have no central depository of serial numbers stolen as a deterrent.

  It could be one of the three solutions... Try these:

  1. make sure that you set your own country code to the Phone Dialer screen > Options > smart dialing.

  Set your country code in this format: "+ xx" where xx = country code. Some countries have two or three-digit country Codes. Do not place not the '+' in the entrance of your contact.

  * In the United States, the value of this country as '+ 1' Code and place your local area code in the appropriate box (this normally the default setting in a new BB).

  2. in the same place, change the length of National number for the number of digits corresponding to your country (since some countries have less than 10 as that set by default in the BB). Check out the total numbers, less country code. Do not place not the '+' in the entrance of your contact.

  * For example, some countries have a total number to 8 (more than 3 for the country code). You must enter '8 '.

  3. you probably have "Content Protection" located on your address book.

  Look at the Options > Security > General settings. Scroll down to the content Protection > include addresses = no

  Hi - I turned on my BB Storm 9530 (w/.75 update installed over a week ago) today, and when the emails / calls started coming, I learned to my dismay that ALL on my Storm now default to the same note played three times, looks like someone typing press the same piano three times.  I go to my sounds to edit and my phone and various emails have different ringtones listed, but when I click "Try It" on the edit page for ringtone, all I hear is the same monotonous notes 3 regardless of the ringtone is selected.  I tried selecting other ringtones by default (I don't have those personalized yet) and economy, but the result is the same; I can't have my phone or e-mail accounts to play unique sounds now.  What is new as of today, and the only thing 'new', I did it yesterday is finally put some music files on my Storm and asks him to warn me when I connect it to my pc, in case I want to use the mass storage mode.  I noticed that you are trying to use my pc system tray icon to release the storm after moving media files gives me a "(Busy--essayez à nouveau plus tard) while I had to stop the pc with the BB still attached."  But I tried to change the ringtones when they are disconnected, and nothing changes.  Does anyone have an idea how I can regain my ability to select & play different ringtones?  I do not see why the turn on the storage capacity of the media would cause this problem, unless I stumbled upon another bug of Storm.  Can anyone help?  I really need to know when I get a call or an email.

  Hey, thanks so much for answering.  I actually had already implemented some of the ringtones by default system for my family members and e-mail accounts, so it wasn't the problem.  They were working on Monday.  By my original post, as of yesterday, any ringtone was entered for an item, all of the pieces read all of a sudden the same monotonous alert 3-note, and no amount of attempts to change a ringtone fix it.  I managed to stop yesterday afternoon at a Verizon Wireless store.  The young woman at the counter suggested I remove the battery, wait 30 seconds, then reinsert it (a "fix" I seem to see on a lot of forum posts!).  Of course, forcing difficult starting restored power to the storm actually play different ringtones that I had associated the various names/emails.  True, I had to reset my desktop wallpaper and preferencesoot after the hard b keyboard, but nothing else was lost, and I am happy to have different ringtones works again.  Of course, I would like to know why the ringtone feature suddenly stopped working properly yesterday.  I like a lot in the storm, but it is very buggy and patches do not appear to come often or quite quickly.  We will all see over time, I guess... Thanks again for writing.

  I have a Windows 7 computer with gigabytes of RAM, which should be more than enough for a user like me. However, my computer has sometimes slows down, so I used the Task Manager. I discovered that too large amount of memory was used. This has steadily increased. Now, when I start my computer, my memory usage starts at 38% of the amount of space available and then increased to about 45% of the memory. The culprit is not a virus, as I did several malware analyses, nor is it a memory problem. Task Manager and performance monitor data just came over me, and I can't find the root of the problem. Can anyone suggest a solution or a way to understand the problem? Thank you!

• BB phone charging smart blackBerry 9780

  New replacement BB 9780; new battery.  Plug it into the wall and orange charger flashing told me I have a low battery.  Orange flashing stops after 5 minutes or more.  The charger from one day to the next.  Unit does not charge and the battery icon shows the battery is very low then turns red.  Use generic wall Chargers that work with other devices.  Thank all the advice to get the 9780 is working again.  Thank you very much!
