No power for PC

Desktop Pavilion (p6-2010 uk)

Only lights. Have checked the power supply etc. Seems to lock out via some kind of cutting. Lights up green light on back near power, but as soon as you press the power button / stop fan starts to spin and then fires and green light turns off.

By removing the cable and pressing power power button it seems to reset PC but even once again how power is restored green light on but turns off as soon as you press power button / stop.

Any ideas appreciated.

This is the classic of a power supply faulty. The standard test procedures are here (excuse the model #)

    Hi amps2007,

Windows XP, Vista and 7 do not support this feature.

  • Replacement of power for Satellite T110-121 port

Is could someone please tell me how do I get a new power supply for my Toshiba Satellite T110-121.
My boyfriend of girls was about to replace it, but they have since split up.

    Hello

Replacement is very, very tricky because you must remove the entire portable device.
You must remove all the parts before you will have access to the motherboard and the domain controller in the cable.

I don t think you can do it without any step by step instructions and guidelines.

As far as I know and as has been suggested in this forum, the maintenance manuals are not available for ordinary users of portable computers. These manuals are released only for authorized service technicians and I think that you will not be able to download manuals, but I think you can find useful information and details on the internet.

For example, you can have a look on the website irisvista.com and might find Satellite T110/115 series how to disassemble these units.

But this dismantling is at your own risk!

  • HP Envy Phoenix 860se-100: required power for DVD cable drive on Envy Phoenix 860

I recently bought a Phoenix of envy and the first task was to cut the power of 500w and replace it with a bigger 80 more platinum supply (EVGA Supernova 750w P2). I have a 980ti video card and added a few SSDs that require the increased power.

While it is installed and works well, the Endowment had a [what I have now learned to know as] sata mini connector for power to the DVD player. Naturally my new power supply do not have that.

Best I can tell is to get something like this: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009JXKQ9O?keywords=mini%20sata%20adapter & qid = 1458574748 & ref_ = sr_1 _... (although I have will probably want it a little longer)

This should allow me to connect the sata and power from the motherboard. So my question is that correct?

Or something like that might work also, http://www.amazon.com/Syba-Cable-Molex-Adapter-CL-CAB40042/dp/B005BCNAWM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8 & qid = 1458...

I guess that this connects to my diet?

I bought a cable mini sata (6 pins) on ebay for a few dollars. Solved the problem. Subsequently my brother mentioned that the electricity company probably would send me a free.

500 watts was barely sufficient to manage the graphics card processor and 980ti. I don't want a bill of $600 to replace my card because the power supply has failed. Not to mention that it is more than 10% more efficient.

    Thanks for the reply.

  • How much power for AMD - A - 3670K, 1 TB 7200 HDD and a Samsung EVO 120 G SSD?

    I have a HP P6-2376 with a Holly2 MoBo and it came with a 300W power supply.

I want to install a Samsung SSD of EVO to run WIN8 OS and also have a 1 TB 7200 RPM HARD drive.

    I have a 8 G or DDR3 1600 memory and currently have the AMD APU A4-3420, but am upgrading to the A6 - 3670 K.

My current diet is adequate, from a 65W APU to an APU 100W so the new SSD?

    Thank you.

    Warhorse99, welcome to the forum.

If it was me, I do the upgrades and see if an upgrade of the power supply is necessary.  It does not simply there is not enough power, but one thing is not custom.

I just installed a Samsung EVO 840 500 GB, SSD.  I was given advice on installing it.  Connect the SSD to one of the other SATA connectors on the motherboard.  Let your HARD drive connected at the moment.  Then download and run the Samsung Data Migration tool.  Clone of the legacy of the SSD drive.  It was extremely easy.  When the migration is unplug the HARD drive and start.  My SSD started without a change in the BIOS.  Once the SSD is installed, you can also use "Samsung magician" to optimize for.  It is on the disc that came with the SSD drive.  The Migration of data from Samsung tool instructions are on the same page.  Make sure that the amount of data on the HARD drive is more than the amount that fits on the SSD.

  • Pavilion 550-150qe: graphics and power for 550-150qe

    Hello

My nephew wants to upgrade the graphics card in his 5501150qe and will probably need to upgrade to the power supply, too.   It's a small suitcase and the first card he bought was too big (it did not before).  It has now become a Msi GeForce gt 740 live x 12 4 GB. Can anyone suggest a compatible power and there will be cooling problems?

    Thank you-

This is a power supply unit (PSU) that must work for him.  The first thing to do is to measure the existing PSU and to compare measures of the link.  This ensures that the other is insert in space.

  • power for 4500e, entry of 4500-e:

    Hello

4500th HP printer shows the input power 100-240 v on the body of the printer. The printer was purchasedin us. and the carton marking of 110v. Has anyone used a 220 V for this model entry [purchsedin usa].

The specifications of the printer indicates 100-240 V, but show also gave a warning that the powerrequirement is a country.

Do one simple thing very confusing!

The sheet is depending on the country.

If the input power is from 120 to 240, and the input frequency is 50-60 Hz then it should work anywhere as long as you have the correct ac taken or adapter.

I read posts where people were wrong to find ink for a printer US while they were out of the country, so take extra if you might need.

I have install a DesignJet printer every now and then and they come with 4 cables of ca, I throw 3 because they are all for US power outlets.  Point being that they will run not WE or US power supply. These printers cost a bit more than yours.

They had me also download and install other drivers and software to complete my re - install.  Thanks again for the advice it is a big help.

  • Brick power for W520 buzzing for the use

    Hi all

So I use a Lenovo W520 bought in the States during his studies in Berlin. I just got here, and though my converter/adapter handles the change of 230 (or 220: Berlin...) to 110, and the brick said it works with 100-240, my power brick cable bubbles. It heats more than usual and the only side effect is the buzz, but it scares me a little.

It doesn't seem to be any mention of the buzz and most of the things I found tend to show that things are well with laptops lenovo if you use a converter, but I want to just make sure. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.

Plug the power supply directly to the wall socket (get the adapter for the Germany). The hum occurs because your 220/110 converter which does not sinusoidal signal.

  • Desktop - 500 b MT does not start, no post... in short power for a second, stops

    Hello out there

I have a HP desktop 500b MT with an issue of power. I'm guessing that it is the Commission which turned bad.

Symptom: when I connect the power it will power briefly, then turns off. Occasionally he'll go as far as tone on the POST, but that's all. I traded PSU, deleted / reinstall RAM, reinstall / deleted all components cablesto. There is no graphics card on PCI express... only tissue VGA on board.

In addition, to briefly turn on the PC I have to drain the power from the PSU... which means that I have to remove the power cable, press the power button / stop as if you try to start near the top of the power cable reconnect it and try to start. Then it will briefly power and turn off the power.

Someone had a similar problem... would it be a bad capacitor that needs to be replaced?

    Thank you

    Hello

Well, you did a good troubleshooting so far and the prediction is that the problem could be located on the system board.

It's a capacitor, I can not say, but in my opinion, the problem may be motherboard or processor, one of the two.

In terms of solution, don't know what to do, or offer the motherboard to someone who can verify and repair the motherboard or you buy a new piece, don't know what solution you are willing to search for.

    Thank you
