• NB520 - Wifi stopped working suddenly on its own

  I bought my NB520 to Singapore.

  WIFI worked fine for almost 3 years, until very recently, I have a strange problem.
  It stopped working suddenly on its own during almost 2 weeks in June.

  Just when I was about to send it to the repair center, he returned.
  But WIFI comes on and off for a few weeks before he stabalised.
  It works well since then, up to 3 days ago, he set out again like last time.

  Usually, when I switch on the netbook, WIFI (red light) lights a few seconds.

• S7-392 Wifi issues driving Me crazy!

  So I bought the new S7-392, a few weeks ago and every day I have wifi at least 3-4 drops while all other devices in my home very well work, even while I have problems on the S7.  I do not seem to disconnect from the wireless network but my fall to 5-6 mo. and basically all my connection speed has disappeared.  I have the latest driver from Intel and these problems persist.

  Today I finally go out and buy a USB wifi adapter so I stopped just in wifi, using the sound so bad!  Anyone else having problems with the wifi?  None of my other laptops, a macbook pro, asus PC and all my phones, nexus 4, 1020 lumia, have no trouble.  Just drops S7 3 - 4 times a day.  A reboot solves for a while, but then he did it again later.

  I disabled the power management options and the power management for maximum performance for wifi adapter.  It's frustrating!

  A new driver has been published on the Acer support site, two days ago.  The latest driver Acer now seems to be v16.1.5.2, which is incremented some version available on the Intel Web site.

• Can't see all networks wifi on initial Setup

  There was a problem with my original Touchpad (it does), so I sent to HP and just received my refurbished model. However, when I start the initial setup and it asks me to connect to a Wifi network, none appear, even if my network and my neighbors are all visible & active.

  My network configuration has not changed since my original Touchpad, which connected very well, so I don't know why this one should give problems. Any thoughts? It is extremely frustrating that I can still use my new Touchpad!

  Following my previous post, I called HP, explained my problem and they sent me a replacement. The new (renovated) came in a few days later and it connected to Wifi without problem. I proceeded to the initial installation and have no problem with this new unit.

  So, for all those who still have a problem with an inability to see any Wifi access during the initial installation points, contact HP and explain your problem. If you are able to upgrade to 3.0.4 use WebOS Doctor, do this and confirm that your Mac address is all zeros. This seemed to be the point of triggering of a replacement for me.

  Hi guys, I tried to downgrade a HP G71-449WM laptop to XP Pro SP3 so far I have everything except the WIFI and sound. I tried all the drivers on the Xp Downgrade Guide wifi but none doesn't seem to work, I tried to search the Win7 drivers to see if I could at least identify what brand it is (Intel, Broadcom, Atheros, etc.), but it lists no WIFI Drivers on the Support page. All ideas are welcome.

  I think you'll Atheros, but not 100% on that. Atheros seems to be giving XP downgraders, grief most right now... with the sp42654 listed in guide with the highest success rate at present.
