  Is this a correct procedure above? Errors or best solutions?

  p.s. Logs don't show any problems with the disks, but unless I have use ReadyNas in read-only mode, all of a sudden it freezes and leaves me no other choice, but unplug the power and reboot.

  And whenever I do, there to resynchronization and it takes about 36hours to finish.

  I tried all the solutions on the forum, the deletion of snapshots to the deactivation of applications, but nothing: it keeps freezing.   I have the following Setup: A DAG with 3 Exchange 2010 mailbox servers, two of them are in the main data center and have the databases and the logs on the local storage. However, the third server is on a Data Center remote for disaster recovery and data bases, and newspapers is the Compellent storage. Of course, because it's my disaster recovery site, the database is a passive copy. However, the Replay 7.1.1.1 Manager Explorer is unable to see data in the section "Exchange shops".   I confirmed that Replay Manager cannot do that; the reason? Dag have a database and are essentially sending for updating the passive copies of newspapers. Since they are not online and synchronizes the DAG status between servers backup will always attempt to occur on the asset. If only one of your copies of DAG is on an HDS, it will be a more serious problem.

  Look at the Snapshot Manager is a reliable reference point in environments with fast, healthy and instant storage infrastructure that does not grow very large (50 GB is very large).

  As a.p., VMware snapshot handling is super reliable, so don't panic when the Snapshot Manager does not display what you expect.  ESXi is very strong in keeping your data via instant recovery logs.

  -The first step is to prevent snapshots more and more very large sizes and keep sufficient free space on your data for overhead warehouse operational.  Insofar as the preferred method, continue to use Snapshot Manager.  If you think that the virtual machine still works from a snapshot, you can see these files in the data store Navigator.  In the past, we had to use the CLI of ESXi to merge and clean up the trees in the snapshot safely.  VMware has introduced a version of this method in 5.x GUI.  It is called "Consolidation".  See this excellent KB article:

  Manager of snapshots and the field "A need for Consolidation" are your first indication.  Understand the snapshot files stored with the virtual machine will give you a greater level of comfort with the internal components.  I recommend this article:

  did you install VMware Player as well as the 30 day trial VMware Workstation? If it is still installed, you should be able - with VMware player closed - to open the virtual machine in VMware Workstation and remove snapshots using the Snapshot Manager.

  With the help of ESXi 4.0.0 build 171294

  I have a virtual machine with a number of snapshots that became very large (rookie mistake I know). Finally, missed data store.

  Delete all the snapshots of the apparently successful Snapshot Manager but has not not any space free, and watching the VM directory via ssh show the delta files always there.

  but the I am always left with a complete and all data store the remaining delta files.

  I also tried renaming the file .vmsd and create another snapshot as suggest in this slideshow:

  After remove it all the snapshots returned instantly, of course, not doing any consolidation.

  1. Is there an any hope of consolidating these shots?

  According to the vmdk files, the virtual disk of 250 GB is thin provisioned. Please take a look in the browser of data store to see the current size of the virtual disk. Commit a snapshot to a thin provisioned disk can consume additional disk space (which you do not have).

  A user has done this:

  1 suspend a virtual machine

  2 take a snapshot

  3. Add the 1 to 3 vCPU

  4. the virtual machine works ok. But somehow the user wants to restore it back.

  5. then, to restore the snapshot to the previous state and received the error:

  As far as I know, this error occurs only if move us the VM incompatible host, but we did move any virtual machine.

  You must add/change vCPU for an engine off the coast of the VM, not a suspension.

  Or have the permit for adding (and, of course, an operating system).

  I tried one on today and could see the process and the file become approximately 130 mb in size. Then I took one with the machine off and I couldn't see the progress and it became only a few KB in size?

  When you take a snapshot of a VM under tension, VMware also takes a snapshot of the current memory. -In addition to other things - is stored in the file vmsn. Usually, I take snapshots of my VM Workstation when (if possible) turned off.
