No sound after installation of Win 7 w/flag a1430n

Hey, I just did a full install of Windows 7 on my HP Pavillion A1430N and I have no sound. Got the red x next to the speaker in the system tray. I saw then that the research that loosened the sound is common with this update/install, but I have not seen my question specifically. When I do the audio problems, he claims that the speaker/headphone are not connected. Although they are. I have connected front and the PC using back the catch designated and used two different sets of speakers. Device Manager indicates that there is a sound device and that it works correctly. When I hit the tabs for more details on the pilot, etc., I get a very generic, "High definition Audio Device", but no details. Indicates the version of the driver 6.1.7600.16385, by microsoft. appreciate the help

    Hi @kerasou,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! I read your post and see that after you install the printer software, the computer has no sound. I want to help you.

Installation of the printer software, should not affect the audio drivers on the computer.

What brand and model of computer do you have?

If it's an HP computer I may be able to help.

    Good day! Thank you.

  • Need drivers after installation clean win 7 on win 8 machine

Curve minimum smarts learning difficult for an old man with a computer. Try to restore a HP 500-075, which came with Win 8 installed and upgraded to 8.1. A day after the reboot, I couldn't past password logon screen (I had not created one). After much googling that didn't serve me without success, I gave up and decided to reinstall the OS, but instead to install Win 7, didn't like 8 in all. Bought a drive OEM installation and after a lot of help from online, managed to install it. But no drivers. When I look up the drivers available at HP for this PC there is not an option for Windows 7. So my main question is will drivers for 8.1 work now that 7 is installed. Or I have to go back to 8? Moreover, I try the option of restoration of HP at the start, but was caught in an infinite loop. I'm about to launch this box and buy a new one!

    Bill, welcome to the forum.

As one old man to another, I suggest you save yourself some frustration and come back to Win 8.  We can probably find some drivers for the computer, but you may have problems because the computer is equipped with a UEFI BIOS with Secure Boot.

There are a lot of very good guides available to help you learn how to use Win 8.1.  I have a desktop with Win 7 and a laptop with Win 8.1.  I'm going from one to the other without any problem at all.  However, I use the desktop with Win 8.1 computer most of the time.  In fact, it is possible to start directly on the desktop instead of the start of Metro screen.  Here's a guide that will help you do it.

Once you have read the guide and tried to use the desktop computer, if you want to continue using Windows 7, I'll see if I can find the drivers for you.

Please, click on "Thumbs Up +" if I helped you and click "Accept as Solution" If your problem is resolved.

  • Laptop HP Pavillion G7: problems of sound after upgrade to win 10

I have upgraded to Windows Windows 8.1 10 yesterday (August 1, 2015).  The update went well. However, there is no sound on my computer. The sound in the tray icon has a red x and not said: "no speakers or headphones connected," when I pass the mouse over it. I have his AMD Radeon card and I've updated the driver from the site Web of AMD. Despite all the recommended fixes on various forums, including the Microsoft proposals, there is still no sound. I have no sound for any music or video. Appreciate any help. Thank you.

Wow - sound like you are having a bad time of it with the upgrade.

If you have a processor AMD APU - which I guess you, like A6, A8 etc.   Usually, AMD has integrated drivers for the video and audio of the computer.  Did you go to the Web of AMD site with your specific APU (integrated CPU and GPU) to see if they have updated drivers for Windows 10?   The manufacturer of your laptop (I guess HP) should also have at them, but HP seems to be asleep at the switch with this version of the OS.

Check the AMD site and search for your specific APU.  There should be some built-in support for Windows 10 post.  Usually, you simply run the .exe file and it installs everything.  It would be worth it anyway before return you to Windows 8.  And... Yes you can easily restore your latest operating system.

    Hello

This theme has been discussed here many times.
It s a general problem with Windows XP!
If you n t install the patches MS as KB888111, KB835221 and then you would not get the sound.

You must install these cites patched before install you the audio driver!

If the driver has been installed you must remove it first before the patches are installed.

PS: This MS patches are part of the SP3 too!

Tap away at f10 you start the PC to enter the bios menu.  Check if the Onboard Sound has been disabled here as this can happen when installing a new graphics card - if it is disabled, use the arrow keys to select Onboard Audio, press ENTER, use the arrow keys to select enabled, press ENTER, press f10 to save the change, use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press on enter.

    Kind regards

    Hello

Install a new video card can disable the sound chip edge check so what follows.

Shut down the PC. Tap here to f10 as soon as you press the power button to access the Bios Menu - option is probably under the Advanced Settings tab.  Look for an Audio titiled "Onboard" entry.  If it shows as disabled, navigate using the arrow keys, press ENTER, use the arrows to select "Enabled" and click on enter again.  Press f10, select 'Yes' or 'Ok' and press on enter to save the change.

  • Satellite L350D - 12 M PSLE0E - no sound after installing Win XP

    Hello

I installed Win XP SP3 on my Tosh laptop.
I have everything works except the sound.

We know of a compatible for this model sound card driver in XP.
I downloaded the bucket full of HD and AC97 Realtek drivers, but none seems not to work.

I'm really struggling with this one and do not want to go back to Vista.

Reall any help is appreciated. Robbie.

    Hello

I had the same problem with sound after installing XP everything seemed fine but no sound!

    I found a solution;
You need to install the MS patches; KB835221 and KB888111
These hotfixes must be installed before installing driver sound!

But I put t know how it works with SP3. I think that you need to remove the SP3 first and then you could install the patches mentioned.

However, once the patches have been installed, you must follow with the Realtek HD audio driver installation. The latest driver should be placed also on the Realtek page too.

Well, in my case it worked so it should work on your laptop too!

    * Here are the patches from Microsoft. Search the net for download *.
