No sound in the AVI file editor

Hi, I wrote a game earlier on my PC. I made a video of him it action (using an application called FRAPS). The game's music and sound effects. The film is a .avi file. It plays and sounds good in Media Player when I watch the movie. When I import it into Adobe Premiere - there is no noise of any kind. The game was recorded at 60 fps, so I used the NTSC option in Premiere Elements, but I tried PAL too and it made no difference. It plays ok - just no sound. Can anyone help? Thank you

Rich

You may have a lot of problems mounting FRAPS in Premiere Elements, Rich. Rates, sizes, and codecs are simply not something with which the program is designed to work.

Windows MovieMaker might be able to do. Then maybe VideoWave.

But operate in first Elements is likely to be more trouble that it's worth.

  • Unable to read the .avi files with Windows Media Player 11 on XP

Original title: Media player upgrade was worse than basic
I recently updated my Player multimedia media Player 11 and now it won't play movies from AVI file that I used to be able to play easily on the outdated version. Why is this?

    Hello

Do you have an error message when you try to play with Media Player AVI files?

When you try to play a file that uses a codec that is not installed on your computer, Windows Media Player attempts to download the codec from a Microsoft server. If the
Codec is available, the Windows Media Player installed on your computer, and then bed file. However, if the codec is not available on the server (for example, because)
the codec not created by Microsoft), Windows Media Player displays a message that your computer is missing a codec.

In some cases, the file you want to play uses a codec that is not available or compatible with Windows Media Player. When this happens, you may be unable to use Windows Media Player to play this particular .avi file.

  • I can't read the avi file

    I can't play avi files.

KM Player error message: number combination of filters could be found to make the stream (error Num:80040218).

I tried all the codecs, directshow, directx, service packs, updates, as many players but still nothing.
Microsoft article isn't good, because apparently you can't reinstall WMP on Vista.  All this happened after I made the recovery of the Dell system.

It may be interesting to try to rename the file .avi
to .mpg... believe it or not... sometimes it works.

If this is a XviD file... you may need
