    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/943104/

Step 1: Please do all the same underneath if you did some before as is often total
a process that solves the problem.

Try this - Panel - Device Manager - CD/DVD - double click on the device - driver tab.
Click on update drivers (this will probably do nothing) - RIGHT click ON the drive - uninstall.
RESTART this will refresh the default driver stack. Even if the reader does not appear to continue

Then, work your way through these - don't forget the drive might be bad, could be a coward

Another possibility is that the cables are loose. Remove ALL power, then make sure that the cables in both

Some DVD players do not use the Windows default drivers so check with the manufacturer of system and
manufacturer of device to see if there is a firmware or drivers for your drive if necessary.

    ===============================

Step 2: You have disc problems as the CD/DVD is actually 4 discs in 1 case (CD & DVD

    do it right.

Did you follow the Troubleshooting Guide for the reader who still does not work? There are

  • This device cannot start (Code 10) - referring to the CD-ROM/DVD-ROM internal drive.

Since yesterday I get the message above regarding my internal CD on my Acer laptop drive.

The PC is barely over a year old & the Cd-Rom works fine up until now.

I recently moved from Windows Vista Home Premium to Windows 7 Professional (about 2 weeks ago) and the CD-Rom drive has been used successfully to restore all my backup files that W7 is a new installation (not an upgrade).

I removed the CD-Rom drive (a device slimtype DVD ADS8A2S Philips - Lite-on according to its label) and have re-connected it, but it still does not work.

Windows seems to see the device when I say add a device, but when he tries automatically configer it I get the message "there is a problem with the driver for Slimtype DVD A DS8A2S ATA Device. "Reinstall the driver may resolve this problem" and gives me the ability to "Apply patch" or "jump the fix. When I choose "Apply patch" I finally get the message "device driver software not properly installed" - Please consult the manufacturer of your device to help... »

Someone at - it ideas why all of a sudden I get a problem with my CD, I can not restore to any previous backups that I need a CD-Rom drive to do? In the meantime, I'll do a search in the site of compatibility of Windows to see if I can find a match for my camera and what he said about it.

PS. the only thing different (new) I did just before I lost my CD-Rom has been thast I had linked to a conversion cassette tape via a USB device that my wife wanted some songs from an old tape of copy on CD. Tape copied OK and was transferred to the software iTunes on the PC, but when I said that I wanted to "Burn" the selection in College, I noticed that my CD-Rom (player 'E') show is no longer on my PC configuration, only on disks hard "C" and "D". If this has an impact on my problem, I don't know - it could just have been a co-fact?

    Hi @JS2045

The audio device problem HD, what you see is the Intel HDMI audio device that needs a driver.

I looked around for a driver W10 to the hardware ID you have published and fails.

This device is necessary unless you want or need audio via the port display.

The only suggestion I can offer would be to try the graphics driver Intel W7 laptop support and driver page, but install it... so that you target just the audio device problem...

Download, but do not work with this graphics driver...

    http://h20564.www2.HP.com/hpsc/SWD/public/detail?sp4ts.Oid=4095873 & swItemId = ob_127914_1 & swEnvOid = 4059

Download and install this free utility for files.  64-bit is the second listed file.

    http://www.7-zip.org/

After installing 7-zip, do a right-click on the graphic driver file you downloaded, and select 7 - zip in the list of items.

Have 7-Zip extract of: and let it extract the driver for the name of the folder (sp64360).

Go to Device Manager and click on the audio device problem Intel HD requiring the driver.

Click the driver tab.  Click on set to update driver.

Select her browse my computer for driver software option and navigate to the driver 7-Zip created folder.

Make sure that the include subfolders is selected and see if the pilot goes like this.

    Then restart.

If you explore the driver folder 7-zip created, and then open the DisplayAudio folder, you will find the setup information file that has the hardware ID you reported that supported by the driver.

If this driver audio works on W10, I don't know.

But if you want to give that a try, it would be a way to do it without messing with the real graphics driver.

  • After a custom Windows 7 installed on a Toshiba Satellite P105-S6084, my audio device does not start. Error code: this device cannot start. (Code 10)

I got driver Conexant speakers on my laptop. I tried to find a device driver updates, but have had no luck. After being in Control Panel, hardware and audio, Device Manager, sound, video and game controllers, under that is high definition Audio Device with a yellow triangle and!.

After a right click and update driver, it says that the driver is up-to-date. In addition, the error code says this device cannot start (Code 10)

In addition, this seems to be a driver of Microsoft when the original driver was Toshiba/Conexant. I looked on the support Web site of Toshiba for a driver updated for my laptop and Windows 7.

    Any suggestions?

    Umesh P,.

Thank you for answering my question. I don't know that this forum allows you to stay busy. Thank you for taking the time to answer my question.

To sum up, I checked the Windows Audio and Windows Audio EndPoint Builder according to your instructions. Both were running as usual and start automatically, so it wasn't the issue.

I then visited Fix It. On the web page, since I am under Windows 7, the instructions on the provided web page to access the control panel and through system and security, to try to resolve the problem to fix common computer problems.

This process led me through the same re-setup of the device through Windows 7 driver that failed previously. Also because it has detected Windows 7, the web page would allow me to run the Fix It program.

When I visited the Support from Toshiba web page you provided, I was unable to find a sound driver for Windows 7. After filtering through my computer on their web page, the nearest driver was for Vista.

Take a chance, I downloaded it anyway. What has been the worst that could happen? It does not work? Well, I was there already. In any case, the installation worked and I now the audio again.

Moreover, this is the link for the driver, for anything that might be in a similar situation I've been:

    driver_audio_conexant_25636A.exe

    -or-

    http://cdgenp01.CSD.Toshiba.com/content/support/downloads/driver_audio_conexant_25636A.exe

Also, Conexant offers no direct audio driver support and ask you to check with the manufacturer, which in my case is Toshiba. Toshiba not currently has an audio driver Windows 7 for my particular Satellite phone. Since this is an older, they can't come out with an updated driver.

But, since the audio driver Vista download works, it is now a non-issue.

    Thank you!

    Jay

  • The Philips SPA5210 bar: this device cannot start. (Code 10)

    Hi all

I have a brand new Philips Soundbar which does not work.  Running Windows 7 Professional 64 bit and try to use the audio driver generic usb (which is what suggests Philips).  I get the dreaded "this device cannot start. (Code 10) "error.

This unit works very well on my Linux box, so I know that its hardware functional.  If anyone can help with this?

    Thank you very much

    Brian

    Hi Brian Matheson,.

It is possible that the Soundbar is perhaps not compatible with Windows 7 64 bit operating system.

Check out the link here and open the user manual where it does not list Windows 7 in system requirements.

If it works, try the step below and check out them.

    1. click on Control Panel.

    2. double-click on the sounds and Audio devices icon.

    3. in sounds and Audio devices

1 properties, select the Audio tab.

    2. under sound playback, select Philips SPA5210.

If the previous step fails, then try to connect to it on the other USB port and check.

If you have Windows 7 32 bit on another PC, check if the Soundbar works.

    I hope this helps!

For stupid reasons to list, I uninstalled the so-called 'High Definition Audio Driver Package - KB835221 [WXP]' using Add/Remove programs of Control Panel under Win XP utility.

So now (DUHH!) none of my audio works.

I searched the site for a replacement, but came with unclear results.  (Or maybe I'm just stupid.  ;-)

Can someone tell me where to find a replacement?

    Hello

    First do a hard reset.

Please go through this Hotfix from Microsoft for the error you are getting.

Please uninstall & update audio driver & BIOS after checking, you have such version specified in the site pilot here on the website of the HP product . Reboot after that. Do the troubleshooting in the Microsoft Fix document.

When you're done, shut down the laptop.

Disconnect the power adapter and remove the battery.  Press and hold the Power button for 30 seconds.  Reinsert the battery and plug in the AC adapter.

Robinet tap away at the key ESC that you start the computer to launch the Start Menu, and then select F10 to open the BIOS menu.  Press F5 to load the default values (sometimes it's F9, but the menu below indicates the correct key), use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press ENTER.  Press F10 to save the setting and still use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press on enter.

    Check if its working
