Method 1.
a. run a Microsoft program that automatically diagnose and repair problems with sound and audio on your Windows Vista-based computer.
To do this, click on this link and follow the instructions:
No sound in Windows
http://support.Microsoft.com/GP/NO_SOUND

b. you can also check the methods of additional troubleshooting for any of the problems of its in the article below.

Method 2.
This occurs when you have external speakers, by default. We need to put the headset as default.
Exercise the functions mentioned below to set the headphones as default:
a. Click Start, and click Control Panel.
b. click sound, and then a new window will open.
(c) in the new window click on the tab 'Read' and right-click in the window and clickShow disabled devices.
d. check if headphones are listed and then right-click on it and choose activate.
e. Select this headset, and then click "Set as default".

Also check the methods in the article below.

Method 3.
You can uninstall the audio drivers completely from the Device Manager and re-install from the manufacturer's Web site.
I would also recommend to check if there are Windows updates for this device.

I hope this helps.

    Hello

If you can use the headset then it would mean that the audio driver is working correctly.
As I m wrong not the NB100 does support the Realtek sound card.
I think you should have got a Realtek HD audio Manager in the control panel.
Check the option in the Realtek HD audio Manager and make sure that all controls are set at the top level.
Input/output Audio, you can find the option and could test the speaker output.

PS: you can use the new Realtek audio driver directly from Realtek page.

  • Latitude E6420 Sound going headphones instead of speakers

I'm on a Dell Latitude E6420, and I'm having a problem with my speakers.

What I have found is that by default, the computer sends sound for headphones, regardless of whether or not they are connected. There are two audio devices in the control panel > Sound, one called speakers/headphones and the other called Communications helmet.
According to me, that both failed to the headphone, because when you play the normal sounds, they come through the headphones, and when you run the function 'Test' for the Communications headset, that comes through the headset as well. However, when you use the Test a helmet of communication and when you fill out a change in the volume of Communications helmet, the normal sounds (those who play with speakers/headphones) out through the speakers.

Dell has replaced both the motherboard and the speakers, and after that which did not help, they said I have to just wait for a new version of the driver.

  • His record game, I can get sound through headphones

I can't get sound through headphones and not on the computer

First of all, what PC model do you use?

    Desktop or laptop computer?
You can try to check what audio output device is set as default
To do this, right-click on the Volume icon control near the clock
Choose playback devices in the list
If there is a speakerphone option, select it and click on set as default.
It would also be possible that you need updated for your sound card drivers.
or if it's a desktop PC. It cannot have a built-in speaker. Thus, headphones or external speakers might be your only option.
  • VISTA and the new battery Bluetooth: no sound on headphones (Skype)

    Hello.

I have a big problem: since I have updated Windows XP to VISTA I had to update the stack driver Bluetooth to the most recent available.
Installation works very well. I can connect my headset is based. He said "plugged in and connected to Skype", but if I call someone, the sound always comes in my speakers and not via the headphones.

Once, micro headphones listening, but now no longer works. I can press any button on the helmet, chance anything in the Options of Skyp... Nothing.
With the old battery on XP the helmet has recognized as a Windows Audio device. He's not with the new battery. In Device Manager, two Bluetooth Audio devices are branded 'problem - driver issue '.

I wish I could just use the old battery under Vista, but it does not work (not compatible with Vista).

I really need help, SOON because I used to do all my calls through Skype Out.

  • Qosmio F50 how to disable external sound using headphones

    Hello

    Just a quick question.

Does anyone know how can I disable the sound of my Qosmio F50 external when I use headphones?

Now when I plug in my headset to use Skype or listening to music, the sound still explosions out in the room. I can't understand how to turn off the sound without also disabling the sound in my headphones...

    See you soon!

    Hello

I have the Qosmio F50-113 in front of me and I have tested al.

When you connect the headphones/earphones for the first time the Manager Realtek HD Audio will appear on the screen and the small window in front of it.
This small window will inform you you this new device connected and ask you what it should be recognized.
    There are three options:
    Headset
    Audio output device
    Output S/PDIF device

The first headset option is set to default. When you click OK, you can hear the sound on the headphones but the laptop speakers are turned OFF.

So I assume that there is a bad option, and you have probably disabled the option for this small window pop up.

Please, open Manager Realtek HD Audio new (Control Panel) and make sure that the speakers tab is open. On the right side you will see the little icon. It looks like the folder icon. Click on it and select the option.

So start the music and connect the earphones again. Whenever the pop - up make sure you chose option for headphones.

So I tested it on Qosmio F50 and it works.

    Concerning

  • No sound from subwoofer or pregnant before "Bat" on the dv7-6154ea [Windows 7 x 64]

    Hello

I recently restored my computer laptop dv7-6154ea to the image on the recovery partition. After update as necessary, to date (all updates from the hp site Web and windows ones). Then I noticed that the sound only plays on both speakers below the screen. The subwoofer and 2 speakers in the front of the laptop are silent, reducing the sound quality to that of a cheap netbook.

    I tried,

    1. Uninstalling the IDT driver, reboot and put it back in place (using the one provided by the HP website after having detected my laptop model).
    2. Reinstall the driver using the HP Recovery Manager.

It seems to me that it is more likely a software problem, since both the speakers and the subwoofer has stopped working at the same time, but I could be wrong. Is there an another driver IDT that I could install that can detect and use all the speakers? Could I have no drivers/software that facilitate the use of all stakeholders? Or whatever it is that I am able to do to solve this problem.

On a side note, sometimes both jacks of headset will stop detect headphones and not mute the laptop speakers - set headphones will truly increase the speaker volume! This problem is corrected by restarting the laptop, but it annoying nevertheless.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

    Try the following.

First of all, download and reinstall the Chipset driver at the following link.

    Chipset Driver - Windows 7.

When this has completed, restart the laptop.

Then download IDT Audio Setup on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp55001-55500/sp55094.exe

One time finished, open windows control panel, open Device Manager and open sound, video and game controllers.  Right click on the IDT device and select uninstall - also, you should get a command prompt to delete the current driver, check the box allow this and then proceed to uninstall.

When you're done, shut down the laptop, unplug the AC adapter and then remove the battery.  Press and hold the Power button for 30 seconds.  Reinsert the battery and plug in the AC adapter.

Robinet tap away at the key esc that you start the computer to launch the Start Menu, and then select f10 to open the bios menu.  Press f5 to load the default values (sometimes it's f9, but the menu below indicates the correct key), use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press ENTER.  Press f10 to save the setting and still use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press on enter.

Allow Windows to fully - charge it will automatically load an audio driver, but let just this complete.  Then open your download folder, right-click on the IDT Installer and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  Once this done, do a right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar and select playback devices.  'Speakers and headphones' left click once to highlight, and then click the Set Default button - check if you now audio.

    Kind regards

    DP - K

  • No sound from headphones - Windows 8

Hello, I had this problem for a long time, but I finally decided to try to fix it permanently now. • Pavilion DV4: Laptop plays sound through headphones but not by internal speakers

Audio was working fine on my laptop, when suddenly the laptop would not play sound with internal speakers.  If I plug in headphones sound is fine.  Execution of control panel of configuration/sounds shows 'Speakers and dual headphone - IDT High Definition Audio CODEC' enabled and set as the default device, as well as "independent double headphones" (enabled by default but not) and 'SPDIF (Digital Out via HP docking station)' disabled.  What can be wrong?

Cure the problem by uninstalling the CODEC driver, then restart Windows then reinstalled, and now things are ok again.

  • Portege A600-128 - no card detected WiFi and no sound through headphones

    Hello
I recently encounter some problem with my portege a600-128. Not illustrated, wireless network adapters a so no wifi detection, more when using headphones, realtek HD audio software detects them being plugged, but no sound is not output - I was wondering if it is a problem with the software, or perhaps of a damage...

Re: wifi, I tried to download the driver realtek_wlan_20100225.zip on the site, but nothing has changed. In fact, the single adapter in Device Manager is the adapter broadband toshiba f3507g mobile, and in network connections, I don't see this one. Try to "find the hardware changes" in Device Manager only managed the laptop to realize that my Alps pointing device (touchpad) is not installed (if she always worked and always made)-trying to install tpdrv-20081103180427. ZIP has not changed anything...

    Thanks for any help!

    Hey Buddy,

Have you checked if the WiFi is enabled by using the FN + F8 key combination? If your laptop is a hardware WLAN switch, it must be defined on IT!
In addition I recommend you load the default settings in the BIOS.

On your sound problem, have you tried to update the audio driver?

  • Satellite C660-155 - no sound with headphones, fair speakers

Sound still come from the speakers when the headset is connected. I've been through all the settings in the sound Manager and cannot find that anything related to the headphone jack.

    Any ideas?

    Hi Doris,.

You use the preinstalled version of Windows 7 in Toshiba or your own installation of Windows?

Normally if you plug in headphones a window should appear and ask you for headphones or line out output. You see this window?

If this isn't the case, I recommend reinstalling the audio driver. You can download the latest version of Toshiba's official website:
