No sound on my speakers but I have sound in my headphones

Hello

I have a new good enough computer, which works very well. I have a pair of speakers BOSE plugged into the spot of speaker (green circle) and I use a logitech headset. I've never had problems with swapping between the output of the sound until last night.

At this point, I very well sound in my headset, but nothing on the speakers. I checked in the control panel and it is said they work very well and are set to my default. Even when the headset is completely disconnected it does not work.

I tried to run the troubleshooting > audio playback and they couldn't identify the problem.

Help, please.

Hi Matt,

Welcome to Microsoft Community where you can find the answers related to Windows.

According to the description, it seems that you can not hear the sound from the speakers, this problem could be due to the settings.

It would be great if you can answer this question in order to help you further.

Have you made changes on the computer before this problem?

I suggest you check the sound settings, refer to the reference to the steps below.

a. Click Start, and then type sound in the search box.

b. in the search results, click sound in the list programs.

c. find your type of connection. If you have more than one type of connection such as HDMI and speakers, and then choose the type of connection to use.

d. in the Audio window, select your playback device and click set as default.

e. the default playback device selected, click on the button Configure.

f. click on your type of configuration of the speakers in the Audio channels.

g. click on the Test button to send sound to each speaker, or click on a speaker to send his individual him.

    Hello

I have a laptop Toshiba Satellite with Harmon/Kardon speakers, using the Realtek AC97 Audio sound card. For some reason there is no sound coming out of laptop speakers, but when I connect earphones I get the sound perfectly fine, if clearly is not a volume control number. Device Manager indicates that the sound card works fine.

I tried the system restore, and it does not work. Can someone help me please?

    Thank you! :)

What s the name of the laptop?

Looks a bit like a problem with the speakers for laptop
The graphics card and the audio driver works very well if the sound is coming through the headphones.

In this case, the technician should be contacted because everything looks like a hardware problem.

    Hello

Hmm. You can hear the sound using headphones but you can't hear speakers that well it looks really a speaker problem, but it s really strange that both speakers are dead at the same time

In your case I would remove the sound card driver and would update with that of the European driver Toshiba page.

  • IDT Audio Codec time Sound speakers but not with headphones on ENVY DV7 series laptop

I bought my laptop not more than two months ago. Its perfectly played through my helmet literally the day before yesterday.

Only two changes have occurred since then, first of all I accidentally plugged my headphones into the external microphone jack, then I updated the 'Music' for Windows 8 PC application.

After my sound stopped working. I restored my PC to a restore point dated before its no longer works in my helmet, however resonates once again that in my speakers (when my headphones are disconnected). When I plug my headphones, sound no longer plays in my speakers but no sound from my headphones either.

How can I get audio to play through my headphones?

    Hello

    Try the following.

First of all, download and reinstall the Chipset driver at the following link.

    Chipset Driver - Windows 8

    When reinstalling, restart the laptop.

When windows has reloaded, download IDT Audio Installer on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

IDT Audio Installer - Windows 8.

One time finished, open windows control panel, open Device Manager and open sound, video and game controllers.  Right click on the IDT device and select uninstall - also, you should get a command prompt to delete the current driver, check the box allow this and then proceed to uninstall.

When you're done, shut down the laptop, unplug the AC adapter and then remove the battery.  Press and hold the Power button for 30 seconds.  Reinsert the battery and plug in the AC adapter.

Robinet tap away at the key esc that you start the computer to launch the Start Menu, and then select f10 to open the bios menu.  Press f5 to load the default values (sometimes it's f9, but the menu below indicates the correct key), use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press ENTER.  Press f10 to save the setting and still use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press on enter.

Allow Windows to fully - charge it will automatically load an audio driver, but let just this complete.  Then open your download folder, right-click on the IDT Installer and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  Once this done, do a right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar and select playback devices.  'Speakers and headphones' left click once to highlight, and then click the Set Default button - check if you now audio with headphones.

Have you checked on the website of the manufacturer of the device for the latest drivers?

    > When I put my helmet I can perceive a very low noise.
This means that the pilot is ok and possibly that the volume should be increased

    Reach:
    (1) control Panel-> sounds, speech, and Audio Devices section
    (2) select sounds and Audio devices
    (3) sound now and the Group of devices Audio will appear.
    (4) in reading his article click Volume
    (5) in the control of the Volume Group on all controls volume max (foot)

  • SA50-532: lost sound in speakers, but work with headphones

    Hello support forum,

I suddenly lost sound through the speakers. I checked the audio drivers, audio and all controls. He looked at the work, I could not hear the sound, but when I plugged in the headphones, to my surprise, I could hear the sound.

Please suggest me, what could be the problem behind all this. It is a hardware problem or software problem and how to get out of it.

Thanks for your help in advance,
    Kind regards
    Kiran

    Hello Kiran

Not easy to say but I think that there is a hardware problem. All parameters of the volume control affect the speakers and headphones. If the headset works perfectly, I guess there is a problem with the speakers.

Your device is not old and warranty should still be valid. Contact the customer Service of your country partner and let check the device.
