  • No sound after the s7530n pavilion slimline for Windows 7 RC1 upgrade

I know that Windows 7 is still in version final candidate and so is not taken in charge by Wells, anyone, but I've seen some people have luck on this forum so I'm him kicking.

I have a HP slimline s7530n Pavilion that came with Windows XP Media Center is installed.  I recently upgraded to Windows 7 RC1 (as well as all the other computers in my home) because of the extra boost of incredible performances provided by Windows 7, as well as the best new Media Center.  Unfortunately, while Windows 7 works fine on all my other systems, it fails in two areas on this slimline: it is not up to run Aero/Glass (which is not a problem, do not need glass on this system), but unfortunately the sound work no longer, which is a real disappointment, because Media Center is kinda useless without audio :-)

When I move my mouse over the volume icon in the system tray ToolTip shows "no Audio output device is installed".  When I check under ' audio, video and game controllers "in Device Manager, there is only a single element:"High definition Audio Device", which says that it is working properly.

Steps, I tried to solve the problems:

-J' uninstalled the "High Definition Audio Device" in the Device Manager and rebooted.  It is automatically re - installs, but does not solve the problem.

-J' downloaded the audio driver for Vista for this PC from the HP support page: "Realtek High Definition Audio Driver Update" - sp34998.exe.  I tried to install it directly, but got an error 'failure '.  Then I extracted all the files in a folder, right click on the "setup.exe" inside and set to run in compatibility of Vista and as an administrator, but running mode later, he gave the same "failed" error.  I then uninstalled the driver "High definition Audio Device" in Manager of peripheral and before restart, run sp34998 (in Vista compatibility and as administrator mode) configuration file, and this time installed without error.  He then asked to reboot.  After reboot, Windows 7 automatically reinstalled the driver of "High definition" Audio Device as before, and I'm back to square one, still no sound, even if "RealTek High Definition Audio Driver" does not in Add/Remove programs in Control Panel.

-J' I uninstalled RealTek Vista driver and the "high definition Audio Device", then downloaded the original XP driver: ' Summer 2006 Original high definition Audio Drivers Realtek '-sp26730.exe the HP support page.  Same experience driver Vista, with some slight differences - even if I extracted the files, and then told the setup.exe to launch in Windows XP SP2 and administrator mode, that it fails eventually, but with messages such as "cann't find Match RealTek HD Audio Inf file!  (Yes, it's accurate, complete with broken and misspelled grammar "Cann't" error message).

So I'm puzzled - I should anticipate problems with Windows 7 for embedded with audio systems, but my old Dell laptop for 6 year, works very well with Windows 7 and it has integrated everything (same course glass!), so if anyone has any advice I'm all ears.

    Thank you!

and don't you know - after that for troubleshooting like a week and a half, I finally posted my question on this forum in desperation, and five minutes after the validation, I discovered the solution on my own.

So for those who have this particular problem, please go to the RealTek page:

    http://www.Realtek.com.tw/

Click on the "Downloads" link at the top.

Click on the first link on the page: High Definition Audio Codecs (software)

Check the box "I agree" to the legalese and then click the next button when it becomes available

For the fifth result in the list, "Vista, Windows7 Driver (32/64 bits) driver only (executable file)", click on the 'GO' link to the right (I chose "Site 1"), then download the file to your desktop.

If you have any audio drivers RealTek HP installed under the Control Panel, uninstall and restart.

Then, run the executable RealTek above (when he throws an error message saying "Windows cannot verify the Publisher" click to install anyway), then restart.

When your system returns to the top, you have the sound!  I am very happy.

  • Sound in the HP Pavilion dv9810us PC Notebook problem

    Hello:

For more than 8 months, I'm having this problem.  First problem started with the Skype call.  My laptop has lost its president and showed a red X mark next to the sound icon.  I couldn't find anything to solve the problem, so I have the system to factory setting recovery.  After that my computer has downloaded windows update and updates security for vista.  He has upgraded my vista service pack 1 to service pack 2.  In the middle of this step of downloading several times I lost sound and then went there and lost again.  I couldn't find a good solution.  It's so frustrating that I can't watch the videos of internet explorer which is upgraded to 9 now.  I tried to watch videos in FIREFOX or Google Chrome.  But no sound after a few minutes.  Whenever I lost sound I tried to fix it with the system restore microsft or material sound restallation or total system of factory setting recovery.  Nothing solve my problem results.  I have contact with Microsoft vista forum, but no solutions actually solve my audio problem.   Right now my sound icon has a red mark X.

This morning when I started my laptop it was okay with the sound, I looked on Yahoo news.  But after that the same sound problem.  In the meantime my computer automatically download vista updates and installed.  When computer restarted my sound icon got red brand X.  I don't understand why with some windows updates remove my sound.  If I don't want to install these updates, always the sound exploded when I watch videos on Youtube or yahoo.  It is said Yahoo does not, sometimes it says internet Explorer is not responding.  I followed all kind of solution I got from microsft vista forum, but nothing has worked.  I don't know how I can solve this problem.

CORRECTION: That should have read "Recovery Manager" instead of restore Manager.

Recovery Manager is accessible by clicking Start, and then by typing the words in the search box / section. The Advanced button allows you to choose from various options to recover or restore such as factory for your hardware drivers settings, etc.

  • The sound on my HP Pavilion G6-1a19wm does not work

Hi the sound on my HP Pavilion G6-1a19wm does not work.   His "only" works when you use the audio plug with external speakers.   I tried to uninstall the driver, update the driver, microsoft fix - it and troubleshooting steps.  audio device present in the Device Manager and supposedly working properly, mute is "not"on."  visually everything audio related things suggest that the audio is fine and troubleshooting finds no problem... what else could it be?

    Hello

    Try the following.

Download IDT Audio Installer on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp55001-55500/sp55036.exe

One time finished, open windows control panel, open Device Manager and open sound, video and game controllers.  Right click on the IDT device and select uninstall - also, you should get a command prompt to delete the current driver, check the box allow this and then proceed to uninstall.

When you're done, shut down the laptop, unplug the AC adapter and then remove the battery.  Press and hold the Power button for 30 seconds.  Reinsert the battery and plug in the AC adapter.

Robinet tap away at the key esc that you start the computer to launch the Start Menu, and then select f10 to open the bios menu.  Press f5 to load the default values (sometimes it's f9, but the menu below indicates the correct key), use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press ENTER.  Press f10 to save the setting and still use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press on enter.

Allow Windows to fully - charge it will automatically load an audio driver, but let just this complete.  Then open your download folder, right-click on the IDT Installer and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  Once this done, do a right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar and select playback devices.  Left click 'Speakers and headphones' (or speakers/HP) once to highlight and then click the Set Default button - check if you now audio.

  • G6-1b70us Pavilion. Picture but no sound from the tv when you use HDMI. Worked without problem.

I have a pavilion g6-1b70us I'm trying to connect my TV with an hdmi cable.  I get a picture but no sound.  Previously, this worked without problems.  When I shoot to the top of my reading of the sound settings, the only options are speakers and the headphones.  When I shoot to the top of my devices, the Samsung TV is there, but it is described as a "generic monitor" (thinking it was weird).  I have uninstalled and reinstalled my intel graphics driver and IDC audio driver but still no sound through TV.  Also, I will mention that in sub control panel > sounds and devices there is a link to the SRS Premium Sound technology.  As you can see in the image below, the Samsung device is, but it is greyed out and cannot be selected. Can someone please?

Well in case anyone is interested I have solved the problem (only took me 12 hours to understand, lol).  Apparently, even if the Samsung TV did not appear in the audio options, you can still right click in the empty box and a toggle option will appear.

  • HP Pavilion g7 1178 AC: windows jingle/tune does not sound and the start up programs do not start before the RESET

When I start my computer, I have the lock screen, enter my PIN and then nothing really happens, I get all the blank screens or error messages just my old image of the windows desktop 7, then I RESTART my pc and then I get Windows Small Volkov song/jingle/air once it starts again , then my lock screen and then my start up programs start at work, bitdefender, toolwiz and things are working properly.  I removed my old windows, clean up the files using the disk.

I do not understand why the windows little tune does not make its sound until I restart?  Does this mean that windows is does not start properly until I restart?  And would that be why my bitdefender is does not properly start as well. ?

I checked in the Task Manager after the first start-up, he said that the two programs have been activated, but they do not work properly.  I checked bitdefender and it also says that it is on the startup list, but why he doesn't have the things I have planned to start rebooting?

It is very frustrating having to start my pc, wait a while, then do a reboot to get things every morning.  Suggestions, ideas, help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your time, sincerely, Niki

I too was wondering why * nothing * played, even when I had checked the box "Play Windows startup sound" in the advanced sound settings > Sound > sounds section. After a LOT of research (that brought me here, among others) here are the "definitive"...

  • complete meter but no sound on the line and microphone Vista 64-bit

Good afternoon. I'm so tired of having to buy expensive USB audio devices to get anything to work on this PC. I have HP Pavilion with Vista Home Premium and core quad processor.  What is happening, it's the bars in the meter go all the way to the top as if there is an incoming audio signal but no sound goes in. I've updated my drivers and still nothing. Hellppp! Any ideas, please let me know.

    Hello

I would suggest trying the following steps and check:

    a. Click Start, open Control Panel.

    b. click sounds, click the recording tab.

    c. click microphone, and then click Properties.

    d. under the controller information, check if the correct sound card is selected.

    e. click on the advance tab, under exclusive mode uncheck both boxes.

    f. click on apply, then ok.

    Check if it helps.

    It will be useful.

  • Loss of system sounds and the internet, speakers pass test.

I have seen this issue a couple of times for its complete loss, but only once for my specific problem.  I am running Windows Vista 32 - bit OS with speakers Realtek High Definition Audio on a HP Pavilion Media Center m7760n.  I have run the diagnostics on my speakers and that they work properly.

    Here's my question:

Lost computer system sounds and flashplayer/internet despite the audio device in place and work properly.  I still have sound when playing Windows Media Player and iTunes, so it doesn't seem like a problem of device or driver, although I did uninstall and reinstall the driver.  I also performed some diagnostics on the speakers and in the test that they did play sounds, but they haven't played the system sounds in the sounds/system folder.  Another strange appearance is the presence of the sound of my PC, an alert tone, I don't remember having heard it before and cannot be bound.  These are the programs that have been installed around the time I lost sound: Windows Update, Package of device driver of network adapters Apple and Serial Bus controller device driver Package universal of Apple, Inc.  This computer has always run Vista, so is not upgrade, and I don't think it's a Service Pack, it could only be that of the update, so I don't know if these answers would really help me.  I searched on Google, CNet, HP and the basis of knowledge of Windows without success.

Here is a link to a question from CNet which reflects mine, but relates to the execution of a registry cleaner, that I did not.  http://forums.CNET.com/5208-12546_102-0.html?ThreadId=345265

I read on one of my research about it being a registry with Flash or a missing codec problem, but it wants me to download K-Lite codec pack which I don't know that I need.

I run a restore if there is no available answer, but it would be good to know what the problem is.  I can't be the only one with this problem, if there is someone out there who knows how to solve this problem, your help would be greatly appreciated!

    Terri,
If this problem started when you downloaded the updates listed in your first post, you tried to remove these updates to see if the problem goes away?  What are the Apple updates that you noted in your post - what kind of Apple devices you have installed?  And what Vista update - what is has been downloaded just before this problem?  Just try to identify what it is a very strange problem with it only affects some sounds, but not all.  I know that some Vista updates can return drivers for Windows by default, crushing the drivers from the manufacturer, so you could check and make sure you have the latest drivers from the manufacturer and not the default Windows drivers.  Also check your templates of sounds in the control panel.  Try selecting different models of sounds to see if any of them will play sounds.  As a first step, you said that the sound works with Media Player and iTunes, but in your last post, you said that it gives you an error when you try to play a CD.  What is the exact error and what program are you trying to use to play the CD?  I know that you do not want to do the system restore, but you may need.

Here's one thing to try before you perform the restore:
To run the System File Checker tool, follow these steps:
Click Start and type cmd in the box start the search.
Right click on cmd in the list programs, and then click Run as administrator.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type your password or click on continue
At the command prompt, type the following line and press ENTER:
    sfc/scannow
When the analysis is complete, test to see if the problem you are experiencing is resolved.

LST know us if this has been helpful for you and how we can be of further assistance.

  • NVIDIA HDMI output - not plugged in (?) = no sound on the TV, but great picture!

    Hello

I'm not very experienced in the computer, but I know now that the connection from your laptop to a flat screen HDMI cable TV is not as easy as it should be...

Description of the problem: no sound, but the big picture on the TV when connecting to my HP dv7 entertainment PC through HDMI to it. Specifically: for NVIDIA HDMI output icon is grey and not active in the "pilot sounds and reading - menu" - you can not simply give (other icons that are active are: speakers and headphones double, double independent headphone & SPDIF). You can also see the TV under "Control panel" > "Devices and printers" - so the tv is connected. In Device Manager, I see that I have 2 sound processors (?) "IDT High Definition Audio CODEC" and "NVIDIA High Definition Audio" - I don't know one that is used for the HDMI connection.

I have at my own risk installed the latest driver (?) for my graphics (NVIDIA Geforce 9600 M GT) - before I did, the NVIDIA HDMI output icon participated actively in the "... sound"-menu (so you can turn it, etc.)- but no sound on the TV and then either...

I suspect there to be something wrong with the drivers for my graphics card or processor... or maybe you can't send sound to the tv with my cable? It's a standard HDMI cable...

Laptop model nr: HP Pavilion dv7-1094eo

Operating system: Windows 7 Professional 64-bit don't know ServicePack... .

Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT

HDMI cable, tv LCD Philips model: 37PFL7605H

If someone could help please advise me on what drivers to install or anything else, I would be very grateful!

    / Marie

First do you uninstall IDT High-Definition Audio CODEC Driver and NVIDIA GeForce 9600 M GT drivers by going to

    Control Panel\Programs\Programs and features.

In case if request you a restart of the computer, please make sure that restart you one after the other. Do NOT avoid restarting the computer.  So go ahead and download view updated and audio drivers from the HP website here.

Yet once, after installation if you are prompted to restart the computer, go ahead and restart the computer. Once done, go to:

Control Panel\Hardware and the sound and click on sound. On the Read tab, right-click on the white (empty) space and you will see 2 options (see the disabled devices and show disconnected devices). Make sure that both options are checked for all devices listed reading.

Now, right click on the option to output HDMI device and make sure that the option "set as default device" is selected for the sound of the external display during playback picture on external monitor.

  • Can you turn off the shutter sound on the factory unlocked iPhone to the Japan 7?

Can you turn off the shutter sound on the factory unlocked iPhone to the Japan 7?

I am going to Japan November 2016 and plan to buy unlocked (no sim) iphone to use in my country (Thailand) 7.

However, I have read some post on 'mode of politeness' in Japanese phone but the conclusion is not clear whether you can disable shutter sound (without sim) unlocked iphone 7 or not. Then, someone could share on the current situation?

    Thank you

No, its required by Japanese law shutter. Even if the iPhone is

is no longer in Japan, you will not be able to turn off the shutter sound.

You should also check with the seller to be sure you can get the

iPhone unlocked from the Japanese wireless provider to use with your

carrier in Thailand. And check that the iPhone is unlocked before leaving the

    retailer.

  • iOS 10 no sound from the speaker of the ear or EarPods

After update of iOS 10 (in 6 s iPhone and 5s) I have a problem then to make or receive calls. Most of the time it is no sound from the speaker of the ear or EarPods and I have to press the speaker during calls to listening. To get back what I have my iPhone and open it again. This seems to happen after that I used once the EarPods.

Be aware that I have consume EarPods in 90% of my calls and iOS 9 I had no problem at all.

    Hello Billy78GR,

Thank you for using communities of Apple Support. It is my understanding that you met the receiver and headphone audio problems after update to iOS 10. I know that it is extremely important to be able to hear others during calls. I'm happy to help you to get this resolved with you.

First of all, I recommend you restart. This can solve many unexpected behaviours. Follow the steps below to restart.

    1. Press and hold the sleep/wake button until the Red slider appears.
    2. Drag the slider to turn off your device completely off.
    3. Once the device turns off, press and hold the sleep/wake button again until you see the Apple logo.

Restart your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch

As you use the headphones on most of your calls, I recommend checking and removal of dust or debris from the helmet. If the problem persists, please refer to the additional steps in the link below.
If you do not hear a person, a call or a voice message or if the sound is not clear on your iPhone

    Have a great day!
