No sound on Windows Home Premium

I installed Windows Vista Home Premium a few hours ago. After that, I installed my driver. However, I do not get sound. So, I did the following:

1 / checked to mute or not, but nothing has been put on mute.
2 / check if the volume is down, but volume has increased.
3 / check if the plug is connected correctly, once again, everything has been set correctly.
4. I've updated the driver, once again, no noise.
5 / I tried Microsoft solve this problem, agin no problems detected.
6 / Went on Device Manager, no problem, the sound card is detected correctly.

My motherboard is ASUS P5KPL-CM with onboard VIA the sound card.

The back panels on my motherboard is, lemon green, black, pink, blue, black and purple in color. I had Windows XP before, and I used the color of lime, one for my speaker cable. On Vista as I do the same thing. It should work, but why I'm not having sound?

IM TIRED... Help!

It looks like your speakers.

Test your speakers on another system

Test the phone front seat taken to see if they play.

If it is a desk top, try other speakers.

Check and make sure that your speakers are connected to the correct place... not 'in' or 'out' caps.

  • copy of Windows Home Premium to reinstall

I would like to know if I can get a copy of Windows Home Premium to reinstall it on the computer, I bought, but had to get a new hard drive.  The Unit came with everything installed and without disks.  So 3 years later my hard drive crashed.  I recorded my copy of windows, is there anywhere where I can download a copy based on my initial purchase and registration?  Thankss, Dave

    Hello

There is no Windows Vista downloads available from Microsoft.

You can contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send you a set of recovery disks.

They should do this for a small fee.

To reinstall Vista using their recovery disk/s, you start from the 1st recovery disk they provide and follow the manufacturer's instructions to reinstall:

You need to change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order:

How to change the Boot order in BIOS:

    http://pcsupport.about.com/od/fixtheproblem/SS/bootorderchange.htm

"How to replace Microsoft software or hardware, order service packs and replace product manuals.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/326246

Some manufacturers have more available Vista recovery disks.

If this happens, you may need to try this instead:

You can also borrow and use a Microsoft Vista DVD, which contains the files for the different editions of Vista (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate) must be installed. The product key on your computer / Laptop box determines what Edition is installed.

Other manufacturers recovery DVDs are should not be used for this purpose.

And you need to know the version of 'bit' for Vista, as 32-bit and 64-bit editions come on different DVDs

"How to do a clean install and configure with a full Version of Vista '

    http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/117366-clean-install-full-version-Vista.html

And phone Activation may be necessary when you use the above installation method.

I tried to use the disk upgrade on this computer again and it won't let me not upgrading and Technical Support wants to charge me 59,00 just to tell me what's wrong. Because of this support:

Looking for a difference in numbers/Service Pack levels.

If Service Packs came pre-installed on the operating system, there is no way to uninstall them.
You will need to swap the disk to upgrade to a later version that includes the missing Service Pack.

On your installed operating system Service Pack level cannot be greater than what is on the disk to upgrade.

It is important to use an account and a password which you are familiar with to allow you to get easy access to your information and to receive the confirmation e-mail which will include your product key.

Will send me you a confirmation email with my product key?

Yes. An e-mail containing your product key will be sent to the e-mail address associated with your Windows Live ID account or e-mail address you provided if you ignored the account configuration. Note: If you use an email tool or spam blocker spam filter, be sure that you can receive e-mail messages from microsoft.com.

What happens if I lose my product key?

If you lose your product key, you can return to

www.Windows7.com/GetKey and sign in using the "Sign In" link in the upper right of the page. This will allow to recover your product key if you have established your account with your Windows Live ID. If you do not configure a Windows Live ID account initially there is no record of your online product key. Check your e-mail since it is the only trace of your product key.

  • Palm PDA compatible with Windows Home Premium

I have an old Zire 71, which seems to be ready for the graveyard. I can't download a Palm system, I don't want a combination of phone but need help with the purchase of an upgrade. Is my Windows Home Premium so some new unit I aquire must obviously be conpatible. I'm new to this Forum, but it seems to have a lot of information. I look forward to your responses. Thank you. John 6899

Vista 32 bit makes it a part of the problem!

The second part - finished Palm do PDA many moons ago.  What you will find will be horribly expensive (if it's new).  One of the latest Palm PDA should work on your system - the entry level Z22, mid-range E2, or the best of the Group TX (IMHO).

Your Zire71 might still be able to work.   I don't have any idea what you mean by "I can't download a Palm system..."

This thread explains how old Palm trees can work with Vista: http://forums.palm.com/palm/board/message?board.id=windows_hotsync&thread.id=38625&jump=true

  • My sound will stop working. And don't come back unless I restart the program that the sound came from. Windows & Home Premium.

This started happening about 10 hours ago. I'm a gamer and I relayed a lot on my sound.

When I join a game or do something that requires his IE (Youtube, Ventrillo, games) My sound worked for a set of 5 seconds, then cut.

Ventrillo will freeze after that I lose sound and all the other games if I close and reopen them that happens the same thing, there sound for seconds then nothing.

I tried updating my drivers and all this so far.

I am running Windows 7 Home Premium.

Update. I moved where my headset is plugged in, that it seems to work for some reason any. His strange yet but do not know if this is a permanent solution.

  • Windows & Home Premium 64-Bit Panel "Programs," explains installed more than rest even said of the PC.

I have a weird on Windows 7 64 bit Home Premium problem: facility recently "DAZ Studio 4" 64-bit on the BONE, DAZ said works very well, makes everything so as to install right now, 'Programs' control panel said GB 590 (five hundred and ninety!) RAM used by all programs; Right click 'Properties' on the disk C: "Program Files (x 86)" said 2.95 GB total in-use (sounds about right). CHKDSK and all integrated and commercial difficulties It Center Microsoft can't find anything; cmd sfc finds no corruption; VIPRE/COMODO scans separated with latest defs are zero viruses/malware, like the Microsoft anti-malware tool. Reviewed all files shown/hidden on the disc, DAZ Studio 4 components actually installed in "Program Files", "Program Data" and little "Application Data"... but NO files installed in "Program Files (x 86)", which in fact even more bizarre than Panel advertising 590 GB in use. I also checked online in the nature of "Googling" but no similar problem any exist; Finally, Windows Update logs and error to offer no pointer to cause/solution. Even the DAZ staff have not yet decided to back a cause/solution to get rid of the overestimation of drive using Control Panel, so I'm asking here. Thank you!

I don't think you can put too much faith in some details in programs and features.

  • Windows Home Premium x 16-96072 cannot install drivers

X 16-96072 my son was completely messed up and nothing worked.   Nothing important on the laptop so that we wanted to do a factory restore clean.  The Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit didn't work properly either.   I have 4 recovery disks that were made when the laptop was purchased.   I downloaded Windows 7 Home premium, because we did not have a disk for it and reinstalled first.   Windows 7 works now, but these device drivers are missing, so I can't access the internet, etc. :

    BCM20702A0

    Ethernet controller

    Network controller

    PCI device

How can I reload those?   I can't boot from the disc to download.  If I insert the disc I can see the files but I don't know what or how to download.  I probably shouldn't have tried it myself, but after watching a few videos, I thought that I could just download Windows then the recovery disk and it would return to the factory settings.  Any suggestions before I take it to the repair shop that I should probably have done first!  Thank you

  • When vista windows Home Premium end support?

When Windows Vista Home Premium will support end and Vista Ultimate?

Not only well-documented life cycle, but no one does support their products for like a long lifecycle like Microsoft. Microsoft still supports Windows 2000, released 8.5 years ago and Internet Explorer 5.5 on it.

Then, on this basis, I wouldn't worry by the persistence of support for many years.

The installed key is the key for Vista Home Premium Acer OEM_SLP - and it seems that you have installed using a retail disc.

For what version and edition of Windows the COA sticker is valid? If it's for Vista Home Premium, you must change the key for that which concerns your COA sticker, using the link at the bottom of the system properties page.

You may need to activate by phone.
