  • NB305 - connect to a TV composite (RCA)

Is it possible to connect a TV that has composite connections RCA and SCART only Monitoring NB-305. If this is what would be the best way to do this?

I found several VGA - RGB cables on the internet (which also specify that you can use to connect to the RCA (red/yellow/white) jacks. However, I also noticed that a lot of people say that these cables don't work unless your PC has 'TV-OUT '. I'm a little confused as to if possible, can someone offer any advice.

I would like to be able to connect the Netbook to the TV and use the TV as a monitor, as well as the output for the sound (as the sound level of the Netbook is very poor).

    Hi v *.

Theoretically, it is possible to use a RCA VGA adapter to connect NB305 to the TV. In my opinion you shouldn't t buy a very good cable market and from my own experience, I can recommend a high quality at a specialist dealer (Audio/HiFi store) cable.

Additionally, make sure that you use the correct settings for TV (NTSC or PAL). Also check the resolution of the screen and display refresh rate to get a good connection.

So, in other words, it of possible to make such a link.

  • what caused the sound to stop working on my acer aspire one netbook?

I don't know what happened, I have no sound, I do not think that the netbook knows there is a map of its installed longer.  I have not removed any material, and only updates have been thanks to the automatic Windows Update program.  Just noticed one day that he was no longer the volume button on the office and could not play any music I had. What should I do to fix this? Literally worked day and no sound at all. Any suggestions?

Despite what certain MVP thinks, this problem occurs on the upgrade or update. Not to everyone, but every now and again.

Simply to re-install the audio drivers that match your Netbook on the Acer site.

    See you soon,.

  • I lost the sound on the speakers of my HP netbook, but I however get his helmet

First, I apologize that it is a repost - I have received notification that someone had replied to my previous announcement, but when I tried to access it today, it was gone! : o

    I have a laptop HP 2140 running Windows XP (32 bit), Firefox 5.0. p/n number is FM839UT #ABA.

Last Sunday, I lost all THE sounds (sound system, music, alerts, etc.) no reason why.  (The only thing I can think that I did was to download a new version of Flash, but its 1) worked after that and 2) I uninstalled Flash several times since then.

Last night, I discovered that I AM getting sound with headphones, but I can't always solve the external noise through built-in speakers of the netbook.

Here are some other things I did to try to resolve the problem:

    • checked to make sure that the speakers are selected, volume works, and that nothing is cut
    • through its programs troubleshooting
    • downloaded and run the Fixit from Microsoft for audio (he made an adjustment, but no other effects)
    • restored the system to several days before losing his (no effect)
    • reloaded the audio drivers on HP website (no effect)

Nothing worked! :(  What can I do else?

Thank you; the problem was in fact through internal speakers of the netbook as mentioned above, there is no problem with them being "plugged."

However, he proved that a loose cable was the problem!  I discovered that when my netbook screen was half closed, I was getting sound.  Then, as I opened it slowly, I lost his approach to the screen by 90 degrees.  The speakers are at the bottom of the screen, and it is obvious that the thread that runs through the hinge that cements the computer to the speakers (I think just in the left speaker, actually) is loose.

So, if I keep the screen at slightly less than 90 degrees, I hear. : p it's annoying, but I'm putting up with it until I can take it to someone who can disassemble for me (I don't feel comfortable to do it myself) and set the connection.

Thanks to all who tried to help me!

  • Update breaks sound on Toshiba NB100 (NBR of Ubuntu 8.04)

My netbook ran a batch of updates yesterday, including a new kernel, I think that (2.6.24 - 27-lpia) and the result is no sound (everything seems to be fine). there don't seem to be able to find sound devices. The start of the previous kernel (2.6.24 - 24-lpia) seems to fix the problem, but of course, this isn't an ideal solution.

    Is there a solution?

    Thank you
    John

You think it can't happen twice, but it has and I can confirm that. Install easypeasy 1.6 if there is no solution for this problem. I tested the beta version installed on the usb memory and it works well.

  • Satellite NB10T-A-102 - horrible sound quality

    Hello

I bought a NB10T-A-102, but the sound is horrible almost not not tuned because that sounds like metal noise.
I tried to change driver but without advantage.
Do you know if it's because of the speakers of material or if there is a configuration that allows to obtain a good sound quality?

    Thank you for your support.

    Hello

This netbook has construction in small stereo speakers, and the sound is not very good. It has nothing to do with the audio driver. As you know you can try to change the sound quality by changing the values in the player s equalizer, but this will not help too much.

I have some similar speakers on my U940, and the good is not good. With the help of his headset is really good.
For example my old NB netbook has harman/kardon speakers and the sound quality is just amazing.

    Hello

I have no experience with this netbook but I ve checked all the drivers of Windows XP Home edition, and tools and what you can try is to reinstall the Toshiba Hotkey utility. On most notebooks of the common modules pre-installed WXP is available and this tool is important for the functionality of the FN keys, but it is not available for this netbook.

Try again with the utility of keyboard shortcuts.

  • Play File.vi sound does not work in Windows 7 x 64 Ultimate, LV2009 SP1 x 64

    Hello

For some reason any "Play Sound File.vi' in LabVIEW 2009 SP1 x 64 won't read my files .wav on Ultimate Windows 7 x 64.  It gives this error:

LabVIEW: (Hex 0x12C3) The sound driver or card does not support the desired operation.

The exact same code works (it will play .wav files) with LabVIEW 2009 SP1 on Windows 7 Home Premium 32 x 32 x.

Here are the results of the test cases I've tried so far:

    Box 1: Dell Precision T3400, Ultimate in Windows 7 x 64, LabVIEW 2009 SP1 x 64 [does not]

    Box 2: Dell Optiplex 755, Ultimate in Windows 7 x 64, LabVIEW 2009 SP1 x 64 [does not]

    Box 3: Lenovo X100E Netbook, Windows 7 x 32 Home Premium, LabVIEW 2009 SP1 x 32 [works]

The "Beep.vi", however, works on all three machines.  Audio devices on all three machines work fine when used by other non-LabVIEW applications.

I also tried several different .wav, including those stored in C:\Windows\Media files.  None of them breed in BT on the zone 1 or zone 2.

The user account that I use still has privileges administrator on all 3 boxes.

All this experience?  How can I fix it?  I tried to dig into "Beep.vi" to see if I could reuse all subvis, but Beep.vi is password protected.

    Thank you

    Richard

I got the wav files to play by calling the PlaySound method contained in C:\Windows\System32\winmm.dll.

Had to create a library function call and research, PlaySound interface.
