  Everything worked perfectly until last night. I restarted the laptop and I got no sound.   OK, I hope someone out there can help becouse thit fist.

  I'm about to return this laptop for Toshiba and go through another manufacturer for laptop that can be downgraded to WIN XP pro.

  I tried for a week to find a driver to work on this laptop to nothing does not.
  Corsica Toshiba says that 'the COMPUTER is DESIGNED for WINDOWS VISTA"as it means something and then they tell me to unscrew...

  So what I have is a Satellite P305D-S8900 and I need the audio driver for Win XP.

  Now, as far as I can tell, it's a driver audio conecant but I can't find one that work of wil.

  Any help; is greatley apericeated.

  First of all, you can install all possible OS on your P305.
  It true s that the P305 has been pre-installed with the Vista operating system, but of course, you will be able to use other OS like Win XP

  Why you n t check the European driver Toshiba page and choose the show Satellite P300. It of similar to the Satellite P305 (U.S. series) and you'll find the Conexant audio driver!

  As far as I know at this time the 3.47.1.50 versions seems to be a more recent.

• Satellite P305D-S8828 - fan runs most of the time

  On my new Satellite P305D - S8828 17 "fan seems to work most of the time, fled to 01:45 for: dry then on new 50." I have the schema defined on "balanced" & the unit is based on a cooler aluminium frame (no fans on radiator).

  Basically, ventilation under the unit must be very very good compared to flat on a desk. Room temperature. is about 78 F. The unit is basically idling & the fan runs at low speed most of the time. Sometimes it ramps at high speed for about 30 seconds. I can go to Circuit City and check another, but anyone know if this is normal behavior?

  I tried a non-Toshiba notebook & I do not remember the fan being audible to all! This laptop was horrible buttons on the touchpad well, so I prefer this Toshiba.

  I think that the fan runs up constantly when a movie is playing. I heard a change in BIOS to set the fan turns too, but do not know what is available on this platform. Any help is appreciated, because I can still return unit for something else.

  BTW, Wireless G is on, but no traffic running on AC & battery not charging. The fan is sometimes we'RE for: 30 & off at 01:00.

  you already updated your BIOS to the latest version? If not already I highly recommend you to do a BIOS update might improve these things like fan control and other equipment low-level things related.

• Satellite C50-C023 - Win 8.1 PCI Device driver not installed

  Hi This is my 1st post here

  My friend bought the satellite above with 10 Windows pre installed on it. accounting software, it should run on it is not compatible with win 10.

  He asked me to help downgrade to win 8.1. I called and they said yes everything will work, but Toshiba is no guarantee nor provide a decommissioning. That is to say, do so at your own risk.

  So he decided to go forward and we bought 8.1 and I installed it. now, everything is ok except for 1 PCI device display as not installed in Device Manager. Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated. It's one thing to chipset?

  Recently, I helped a friend the low-grade sound C50-C023 to win 10 to 8.1 Win.

  Everything went well except that now, I in Device Manager my PCI device not installed and no updates can be found anywhere. I have just completed do all Win 8.1 updates but still have this problem

• Satellite L670 - after Win 8 upgrade WIFI does not work properly

  Afteer upgrade to Win 8, the WiFi of my Satellite L670-128 has stopped working properly.

  The connection only works some time, usually only a few seconds before the connection is lost.
  After a few seconds or minutes the connection is restored, just soon to be lost again.

  Cannot download large files or even to see larger photos on normal web pages. Is there any Win8 driver for Broadcom coming 802.11n network card, or should I throw one 2.5 year old computer in the trash?

  Buy a usb-wlan card is not an option, as wireless mice is already "permanently" reserving one of the three usb ports and wlan card it would be just to the left...

  To my knowledge this L670 series isn t Win 8 taken in charge and this means that there is no special Win 8 drivers for this device, so I put t think you will find an another Win 8 driver for this WLan card.

  But do you really want to throw this laptop in the trash just because the wifi does not work properly running Win 8?
  The device was working properly under Win 7?

  I would recommend running a few Wlan test.
  For example; Disable wireless encryption on your router and Wifi connectivity with the open network do that just for testing purposes, perhaps you will need to change the type of encryption to test.

  AFAIK that ATI Radeon 3100 graphics card was also installed in other laptops.

  For example, the card has been installed in this European series from Toshiba:

  Satellite L300D PSLC8E
  Satellite L300D PSLE8E
  Satellite Pro A300D PSAK9E
  Satellite Pro L300D PSLC9E

  Check the laptop series above and maybe you will find an XP driver.

  I boot from the Windows XP CD, it not the usual analysis, but it does not acknowledge any HARD drive on the laptop, so I can't continue the installation.
  Do I need some special HARD drive drivers to be installed during XP installation?

  You have two options;
  You will switch the AHCI compatible mode in the BIOS or you install the SATA drivers for chipset AMD.

  I may be beating a dead here horse I did a bit of research on this issue, but I thought I would try once more on the HP forums.

  I have a good Pavilion dv7 4060us I use to transport my QuickBooks files and inventory with me at the customer site, or when I'm away from the office. I bought it in 2010-2011 because of its performance and price point. The fact that it is a mobile entertainment isn't really the problem. By that I mean I played a DVD or two on it, but that is not its primary mission.

  Having said all that, I, as a Microsoft Insider (aren't we all?) I tried Win 10 since last October. I have five other computers in my company to update to Win 10 very well. Desktop computers.

  But, and I knew better, I leave my dv7 update win 10 home (Win 7 Home) update the graphics drivers under Win 10 HP, even tho ' the review date seems to be August 5 (or 8) 2015, seems to not work. The laptop uses generic LCD drivers from Microsoft. Not the end of the world, but I wonder if anyone has found a way to resolve this display problem. I see that wil HP does not support for this combination hybrid AMD card (5650/4250 HD). I used the Compatibility Mode in the past with some success. In any case, this post was long enough... I can roll it back to Win 7 Home, but I really don't like the appearance of this computer entertainment.

  Any thoughts, or should I just shut up and go away?

  I appreciate your concern for my situation, thank you. I did all of this, including finding a compatible driver supposedly this material on the website of AMD. When I looked at AMD site this month / last month, they said that they will not only support the material under Win 10 (said the same HP, actually, but I'm stubborn). Imagine my surprise when I found that the site would allow me to download a driver today for the HD 5650/4200 under Win 10 64-bit. But it doesn't install properly, be and gives me the same dialog box: No. AMC graphics driver is currently installed or it is not working properly.

  Maybe I'm not fluent in the AMD/ATI products and update I'm with nVidia graphics, I use in my other machines without any problem.

  In any case, I thank everybody help, but I spent too much time on this question; I'm done. I can use the 4060 as it is. Former systems engineer, I felt sure I could fix it but apparently not. In any case, no worries and thank you!

  I understand that my printer scanner PSC750 is getting a bit old but it still works fine.

  Always used under Win XP. I've now updated? for Win 7 and I am told by Microsoft etc that no additional driver is necessary.

  Why then it is printing in black and white only and in reverse order of page?

  Is this just a ploy to get me to buy a new printer, it will probably not be HP however.

  Have you set up printing preferences?  Click on start, devices and printers, right-click on the 750 PSC, printing preferences and you can change the order of pages or select B & W or color printing.

  I just bought a Win 7 laptop to remove or replace a desktop XP computer. Initially, it came with Win 7 Home Premium. I could not install an earlier version of the software Quickbook, who previously installed and running well under XP or Vista.  See in-store technicians; they all recommend the upgrade to Win 7 Professional so that it can run the program in XP mode. After this upgrade, I can not install the software.

  QuickBook Setup starts with run 'install' which is supposed to launch setup.exe. the latter is supposed to install Quickbook under Win 7 Professional.

  I appreciate any help from this forum! More recent Quickbook ranking would be simple, but for the fact that the data file is accessible from many other user/computer with earlier versions of Windows. Old QuickBook does not recognize the new Quickbook data format.
