No sound when you play a video/Audio

Hello

I have a HP Pavilion g6 and the sound does not work.

I tried troubleshooting audio playback, and then it started working. Then I realized that the sound system started working.

When I play a video or audio on my browser (Google Chrome and Internet Explorer), it does not work, but when I play a video/audio downloaded on the pc, it's working. Why is this?

I've checked all my browser settings aswell and nothing is wrong.

Thank you!

Hello

Try a new installation of the plugin flash/ActiveX as follows.

First, download the Flash uninstall utility on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

Flash Player Uninstaller.

Once the download is complete, close all the browser windows, open your downloads folder and run the program uninstaller.  After this has completed, restart the laptop.

When windows has reloaded, download and install the latest version of Adobe Flash. Note: You can deselect the option to include McAfee Security Scan Plus before downloading.

When the installation is complete, restart the laptop.

***************************************************************************

If the above is not correct the problem, try the following.

First of all, download and run the uninstall program of Shockwave on the link below.

http://fpdownload.Macromedia.com/Get/Shockwave/Uninstall/Win/sw_uninstaller.exe

After this has completed, restart the laptop.

When windows has completely recharged, download and install the latest version of Shockwave on the following link.

Once again, after the installation, restart the laptop.

Kind regards

  • Satellite Pro 6000: no sound when you play the CD or the DVD-audio

    Hello

I m pretty new to laptops and so I put t know much about them, this looks like a good place to come however from the answers. Well, my problem is that when you try to play the DVD or CD, even for those who rely on the laptop there is no sound. The speakers work because I ve checked, but if I wanted to play an audio Cd or a DVD in windows media how to activate the sound? Everything works great on my regular computer.

I would be grateful for answers.

    Hello

In Control Panel, you can find the sound and Audio devices. Here, you can change the settings to different controls. Check if the mute option on Audio CD control is not marked.

    Good bye

  • I get no sound when I play music, videos or movies via itunes.

I can play the same thing if I use any other player, quick time, windows media player, divx player, u tube time fine when I use it, so I know that my speakers are fine, it's just that when I open itunes and play stuff there is no noise, but itunes shows that the music plays and I can see videos and movies playing, but with no sound

    Hi KINGPIN62,

    1. are you able to get audio before iTunes?

    2. you remember to make changes to the computer recently?

You can try the following steps and check if it helps:

    Step 1:

    a. check the volume of your iTunes. iTunes has an its own volume slider, completely separate from your main system volume, which appears near the top left of the iTunes browser, just to the right of the "room", "Forward" and "Back" buttons. Try to drag the aircraft to the right to increase the volume.

    b. Update iTunes. Visit iTunes at Apple.com software page and download the latest version if your's is no longer topical.

    Check out the link:

    www.Apple.com/itunes/download/

    c. remove modules additional third-party iTunes. Not allowed to plug-ins and other Add - ons may adversely affect your features, so if you have added any of these features, try to delete the folder "iTunes Plug-Ins.

    C:\Documents and Settings\nom_utilisateur\Application Apple Computer\iTunes\iTunes Plug-ins

    Step 2:

Also try to update the drivers for sound card and see if that fixes the problem.

  • Intermittent buzzing sound when you play music, movies, games...

Since installing Windows 7 Ultimate, I have a problem with intermittent gurgling noise whenever something works on my laptop that has audio. The sound occurs approximately every 20 seconds maybe and finally a second about. It also distorts / breaks, so to speak, the image when playing a movie. The problem occurs if the audio is played through the speakers or headphones. It is also that the film / audio etc video stored on a CD/DVD or hard disk or online, so I know that's not the problem.

I uninstalled and renistalled my drivers sound card and graphics, looked after that I have the latest drivers, updates DirectX, updated my BIOS etc, but nothing worked.

I have Windows Vista Home Premium, which is preinstalled on the laptop when I brought last April. I did not have this problem on Vista.

My laptop is a Toshiba P300D, 3 GB of RAM, Windows 7 Ultimate (32 bit), which was a clean install.

    Any suggestions?

    Thank you

    Hey all

I had the same problem with intermittent noise. After sending two times my toshiba satellite L750D to get fixed by the store where I bought it (they could not find the fault), I found that the hum is not meeting when wifi is disabled. So I updated the driver for my AR9002WB-1NG Atheros network card and it works perfectly now.

It is the page Toshiba with the Wireless LAN Driver Downloads for all types of network cards. http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/WLAN/?page=downloads

    Hope this works for others!

  • The lost stereo sounds when you play.

    Hi all.

I'm on a Dell xps 15 I bought 1 year ago. I started playing a few FPS games recently.

As a first step, there is are not problems but now something really strange and annoying happens, every time I start my new game (or when the server change the level, the game is reset) I lose my stereo sounds, which is very important on FPS games (to see if people are to the left or right (even backward or forward if I have 5.1 headphones). The sounds come right in the Middle, as if a person on my right takes a hit, the noise is coming from both sides, it SHOULD just where the right earphone.

To solve this I found a weird way, it's go to the Realtek HD audio Manager--> speaker / headphone-->--> change quadraphonic Setup speaker setup / 5.1 and then change to stereo--> back to the game and sounds come back perfectly.

Actually I think it was the game that does not work properly, but I just got a new game and it played for a while, the same thing happen.

What kind of problem is this you? and how to fix it forever? It's really annoying as a match lasts no more than 20-30 minutes. After that, I have to go to Alt - tab then redo things (as I do not play on a particular server, I change quite often server that do sounds wrong as well). Sometimes alt - tab too makes the system freezes :(

Thanks for reading and hope you understand what I mean xDD. Also the sound card driver is supposed to function properly, latest version.

Here's the direct link to the version A12 of BIOS for XPS L502x. I think the same as A11 A12 but A12 provides support for Windows 8.

  • No sound when you try to watch a movie

    Windows madia player

Im trying to observe a movement an i have no sound

    Hi Boy bubba.

    (a) this only happens with this film?  You are able to hear the sound when you play other music files?

    (b) you get an error message?

    (c) don't you hear all the sounds of the computer?

No sound in Microsoft Windows Media Player is often corrected by adjusting the volume at the bottom of the window settings. Move the left slider to the right will increase the volume, so all the way to the left the volume all the way down.

Ensure that the speakers are not muted

Bottom right on the task bar > click on the "speaker" icon > ensure that is not cut, if it's muted go ahead and reactivate it.

  • Why the frequency of images in Photoshop CC 2014 goes down when I play the video?

I'm currently editing a video file in Photoshop CC 2014 and on the digital SLR camera, it says 30 fps with when you open the video in Photoshop. But when you play the video, the pace becomes red and goes down to 5 frames per second. It gets all confused. I have already edited a video with the same fps and quality in Photoshop and it worked well, but this time it won't work. I also tried closing and reopening already. Help, please.

If your computer cannot go as fast as playback, Photoshop "will fall" frames. If you play again, it should be a little smoother. In addition, you can adjust the playback quality less and more images are rendered.

When you watch a video on Facebook, etc., the video part freezes and the sound continues to play until I have to go over it. I use Wuindows 7. The video will restart when I pass this pointer/mouse.
The same video (s) works correctly when you use Chrome?

This issue may be caused by malicious software.

Make a check of malware with several malware scanning of programs on the Windows computer.
Please scan with all programs, because each program detects a different malicious program.
All of these programs have free versions.

Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before scanning.

Alternatively, you can write a check for an infection rootkit TDSSKiller.

    Hi james_pl1973,

-Is this type of specific file to some issue or is it the same with all types of files?
-You get an error message or error code trying to watch the video for files?

It is likely that the codec is correct / encoder is not installed or is installed but has been corrupted by another program.

A codec is a software to compress or decompress a digital media file, such as a song or a video. Windows Media Player and other programs use codecs to play and create digital media files.

A codec can consist of two components: an encoder and a decoder. The encoder performs the compression function (coding) and the decoder performs the decompression function (decoding). Some codecs include both components and some codecs only one of them.

For example, when you rip a song from an audio CD on your computer, the player uses Windows Media Audio default codec to compress the song into a compact WMA file. When you play that WMA file (or any WMA file that may be broadcast from a Web site), the player uses the Windows Media Audio codec to decompress the file for music can be played through your speakers.

Follow the steps listed in the article given below to resolve this issue.

You receive a codec error message or play audio but video does not play when you play media files in Windows Media Player 11
