  I agree with the previous user. I never installed all the patches page download Toshiba, just used Windows Update option in Explorer. So far, I've never noticed some problems.

  If you clean the OS installation I recommend you to install SP2 (if missing) and after doing this run Windows updates.

  I can't tell you much on Intel, but I repeatedly used newer drivers directly from the Intel download page.

  It is on a single application, or more than one?  If more than one, click on all except one and get them to take a break.  Update one application at a time.

  Also try to reset your iPhone.  Press and hold the power and home together for 10 seconds until the Apple logo appears.

  Do yourself a favor and remove the application.  Mac do not need AV applications and at best, they will be not hard (but not good either) and at worst will corrupt your system / OSX's built in protection.  Your concerns are malicious software that requires the cooperation of the user to install, not the virus.

  I started having problems with Vista Security downloads 1 year ago. I have contacted Microsoft at least 12 times by windows live, phone and email. not a single couled or solve the problem. I wrote to Microsoft headquarters and still have no answer. So, I just ran out of steam. I can't get these updates from download of tp. Because Microsoft seem to have the answer, I know someone must. They don't mind and want you to buy their products, but will not help you solve the problems with their products. If anyone has an answer, I would appreciate it.

  I have windows XP pro 32
  I had problems with the updates and downloads from microsoft. It seems that I can not download anything from microsoft, MSN to the service pack of windows update I tried to download recently. When I click 'Download' the Web page just says I can't connect. The problem is not intermittent its recurring. I tried to email microsoft several times and the problem still has not been resolved. Common mistake, I'm getting 0x80072EFD, this is the info from the microsoft Web site gives about the error.

I tried everything that was suggested to me, and nothing has worked.

  It is possible that a 3rd party anti-spyware, firewall, web Accelerator program, program of security/antivirus Internet and/or a proxy server interferes with the Services Windows Update (SVCHOST) to access the Internet.

  OK... I had some problems and had to do a system restore. Now that my computer is in place and runningI cannot get updates for updates to download to Windows Defender, Internet Explorer or Windows Vista. I'm only running a HP2745se purchased in Feb 08.
