No Web Services tab on wireless HP 6700 printer

Fell on a sheet "installation instructions important printer" for some time with an HP ePrint printer code.   As I remember at the time, this automatically printed sheet.   After she earlier and that the code is no longer working.  Found instructions on the HP Web site to use the "Web Services" tab on the printer to print another sheet.  Impossible to find this tab in Web Services, nor on the 'Settings' tab on the printer.  Is there another way I can get a code to printer?  I use a router with my Officejet HP 6700 Premium e-all-in-one printer wireless with no problems.

SilverCat salvation,

I'm sorry to hear that you are having problems to get your claim code for the ePrint on your Officejet 6700 Installer.

Yes, you can get the printer to request code.  There are two different ways that you can do. The steps to do are in the guide of the user starting on page 69.  I've included a link to your user's Guide.  The easiest way is to do it from the front panel of the printer.  I have included a document on your printer getting code request and there these steps for you.  I have also included a document on the HP ePrint for additional reference to get started.

    Hi GayleneC,

Thank you for the update and additional information.  I really appreciate it.

You indicated that you tried to update the firmware, I wonder because the printer is not connecting to web services that is may not have logged in to check the updates of the firmware.  I have included two links, one is for the Windows of HP LaserJet Pro Series Firmware Update Utility version , the other is for the Mac version of the HP LaserJet Pro Series Firmware Update Utility. Please choose your operating system and we will try and update the firmware without using the front panel of the printer.

After you run the firmware update utility, please disable IPv6 wireless via built-in web server.  Please follow the steps below:

    1. To open the HP embedded Web server, type the IP address of product in a Web browser address line. When it opens, it should look like the screenshot below.

    2. Please click on the 'Network' tab as highlighted in the screenshot above.

    3. Please click on 'Advanced' in the side menu on the left as indicated above. Please disable IPv6 and click 'apply '.

    4. Please click on the "HP Web Services" tab.

    5. Please click on the button "activate". Print the newsletter of Web Services.

    The fixed!

All we needed was an update of 20120814 to 20130703.

I change the printer to a static IP 10.0.0.40 (out of range dhcp)

Gateway was of course, the router IP - 10.0.0.1 and

Primary DNS returned to 10.0.0.1 with

    Secondary to 8.8.8.8 from Google

    and all is well

A Note, however, when updating the firmware, the utility has shown the original 10.0.0.16

dhcp had taken, and I had to reconfigure to this address to get a success

firmware update, after which I returned to the 40 statice.

Silent IP addresses are the result of my duty to replace my Netgear router after

a bolt of lightning with a Westell 7500 that change addresses.

    I'm glad it's on... billl39

  • OfficeJet Pro 8610: impossible to activate web service HP8610

When I first set up my printer, I was able to use the Web Services, but one day, when the printer was old, 9 months after that put under tension/disable web services from my router stopped working!

I could go to print and scan wireless, but web services is more work, so my stautus instant ink is more updated. After getting a dozen emails from Instnt of ink over the 3 months, they finally disabled my printer from printing (no doubt he reactivates if I bought all new ink cartridges for more than $100 all, although I don't trust HP enough to pay as much in case they do not work).

I tried following various instructions in this help forum to reset the ipv4 address, but nothing helped. The printer is a little more than 12 months. My ISP is AT & T who were no help (of course). When I phoned HP while I was in warranty period, HP engineer said it was an ISP problem and nothing was wrong with the printer.

I even tried to connect the printer to my Iphone hotspot, but which allowed either the web connection.

    Suggestions anyone?

    Hi @mallen14

Welcome to the Forums of HP's Support. One thing I noticed on these printers, make sue that the date and time of the printer is correct.

Also, have you tried the suggestions in this post by E - roq?

    Hi @crowndude,

I see that you have problems with Web Services. I want to help you.

I have provided a few steps to try to see if we can solve this problem.

Turn off IPv6 on the printer.

Go to configuration, network configuration, network, IPv6 Services and turn it off.

This DNS works better for Laserjet printers. Please change the settings to see if this will help the printer built-in Web server.

    Preferred DNS address: 209.244.0.3
    Auxiliary DNS address: 209.244.0.4

    Power cycle the printer.

If you still have questions, please continue with the following steps:

Update the firmware of the printer by a USB connection. HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP Firmware update M177fw.

Configure a static IP address for the printer. Proceed to Solution 3: printer of the assign a static IP address.

Printer HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M177fw and HP LaserJet Pro MFP M127fw and M128fw printers - printer does not keep the Wi - Fi connection.

    (3) turn off the printer and unplug the power cable to the rear. Wait 5 min

    (4) plug the power cable and turn on the printer

    (5) run the Wireless Setup Wizard in the printer menu.

    (6) check if you are able to print and scan

    (7) ' delete Web Services"from the menu of the printer and wait for 2 minutes

    (8) "activate Web Services" in the menu and waiting.

This should display a page automatically.

  • Cannot print a Web Services fact sheet to get a claim Code

I am trying to add a m276nw of MFP HP LaserJet Pro 200 colour as device ePrint.  I have updated the firmware of the printer.  When I activate the web services button print fact sheet appears, but nothing prints when I click on it and I can't get a claim code.

I'm stuck.  I don't know where to go from here...

If you correctly enable web services, you have two options:

    1. use your IP address, he enter in your web browser and go to the integrated web page. Go to the web services tab and find the address of e-mail assigned to your printer. It should be something like [email protected]. The code of the printer will be foregoing the sign @.

    2. go into your control panel. Click the web services (icon on the far left). Click the e-mail display address. Printer code will be foregoing the sign @.

    3. print a configuration page. Tools icon - reports - config page. In the right column, look for the Service Web of HP (lower-right) - the printer email address - printer code will be foregoing the sign @.

Use the xxxxxx before the sign for the printer code save the connected HP printer @.

  • Photosmart HP 7520: ip address for web services is not on the printer properties

Printer is a HP Photosmart 7520, I have this printer is installed on computers laptops HP two and two are running Windows 7 Pro.  On one of the laptops (mine), when I click on devices and printers, and then right-click on my default printer that is the 7520, it has three tabs.  The third tab shows 'web services' and has an IP address for what should be the EWS page.  The property intellectual property which are listed there is an old IP address that has been recently changed.  What should I do to update that.  The fact that it is bad does not seem to affect what anyone.  The printer works perfectly to include web and eprint services.  What is also interesting is on my other laptop (of woman) which is identical to mine, the web services tab is not yet here when I click on the printer properties. I passed to the EWS page and checked the network tab.  All right.  I went to the Assistant printer HP, clicked on utilities and used the IP update.

    Hey @DennyC,

Personally, I believe that if it ain't broke, don't fix it. If everything works as it should, that you have tested and it does, there is not need to change this list in the frame. If you want to try it though, with the exception of my first two ideas you already have tried, uninstall and install the printer is all I can think about. Right click on the printer in devices and printers, and then delete or remove. Run the HP print and doctor Scan to install the printer and check the settings.

    See you soon!

  • I can't activate web services after connecting my hp1415fnw? I am connected to a wired network

I recently bought a hp CM1415fnw.  I am connected to a wired network, being able to print to the printer, can it ping, but when I go to the page to enable the Web Service I can't enable web services.

    smitty83hp,

When you are on the web server for your printer:

    1. Click the Web Services tab.
    2. Click the Proxy settings
    3. Unless your Internet service provider has a Proxy Server, which you know, the box must be unchecked and server fields and the Port must be empty.
    4. Enable Web Services on the homepage of the Web Services tab.

Welcome to the Forum from HP Support. I hope you're well @Amchad!

I read on the web-services and wanted to stop doing you to share my suggestions.

As of September 1, 2016, Web Services stop working and are no longer supported on some printers. I'm afraid that your printer is on the list and therefore not compatible with web services. The function ePrint and other web services are not available on this printer.

Please check the details here: http://hp.care/2eKfeK2

As an alternative to HP ePrint, go to Google Cloud Print (in English) to set up your printer as printer 'classic' to use Google Cloud print with your printer.

Hope that answers your questions. Let me know!

    See you soon

Welcome to the Forums of HP's Support. I understand that you are unable to access one of the applications on your Photosmart Premium C310 printer.

  • OfficeJet 5740 e-all-in-one: the printer display shows 'downloading' message despite no web service implemented

I got a new Officejet 5740 e-all-in-one and put in place a few days ago. It is implemented in a router which is also a modem.  I've implemented any web service.  My network is password protected, and I'm the only one on this subject.

A couple of times I arrived in front of the printer and there was a screen that says that there is a current download, and he showed the percent completed. This surprised me because I have not implemented in web services for the printer.

I cancelled the download, both times.  The second time I accidentally typed the screen again.  I don't know what button I hit, but it has printed a message that says that my printer is now web enabled.  He also says that my printer has an email address.

I went into the web installer, and it seemed to me that I had not implemented the web.

    1. what could it possibly download?

    2. If it does not complete a download while I'm not looking for, will there be a record of this?

    Hi @Andrew111,

Thanks for joining the Forums of HP Support for a solution to your printer problem.

I understand that you use a 5740 Officejet from HP printer e-all-in-one with a computer of Windows 7 and you noticed that the screen of the printer said there was a current download, which you surprised because you but you did not set up web services. I would like to help with that.

You mentioned that the printer has its own e-mail address. Web services have been enabled for the printer to have an address of mail @hpeprint.com. It is possible to disable the ePrint and printable HP once the HP Web Services has been enabled.

The download that was underway was probably a printer update, which will come by automatically. Nothing to do with the computer. I don't think there is a record of updates of the printer anywhere.

Please let me know if that answers your question...
